  1. You should include the cost you're paying for the OLife beverage package amenity in your OLife fare to get a true comparison of the cost per day for the drinks.
  2. I'm glad you keep this link handy. I keep losing it 😉.
  3. Here's the link for for package prices. Page down to beverage packages and internet packages. Prices are given, but you need to click on Read More inside the internet section for internet pricing. https://www.oceaniacruises.com/value#value-packages I don't have a link to by the glass prices, but one link has been frequently mentioned on this board and it is not the Oceania site. Our experience (July, this year on the Sirena, but the same on all ships) is that single shots are priced around $10 plus a 20% gratuity automatically added. I think cognacs and single malts are higher.
  4. We simply wrote "fresh berries" on our menu and the Butler took care of it.
  5. We ordered fresh berries every morning on our July Sirena cruise with no problem. We didn't specify which berries and got a lovely mixture, but what you get depends on what's available.
  6. Cruisecritic articles are not totally reliable, so go with the source (Oceania), not secondhand, information.
  7. Chris (the OP of this thread) also posted a confirmation of 2023 refurbishment of the Marina, above https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=7063
  8. Yes. Canada's embarkation requirements have not changed. Within 72 hours prior to boarding for PCR; within 2 days for antigen.
  9. Viking requires full payment at 1 year out, and folks gripe, but still do it (us included) 💲💲💲 So O's final payment policy looks like pure heaven.
  10. @ORV @pinotlover I'm curious about your comments, since I know of at least one travel agent who has posted on his FB site that, first, he received a top twenty commendation from O for elite status in the Connoisseur Club (top 20) in April and, second, he received a commendation from O for being the top producer, 2 days ago. In both case he forwarded the letters from O that he got for the commendations.
  11. @ORV's suggestion is a good start, but you may want to check our several of the ones that pop up in the search to get a sense on how the agencies/agents operate. Once on board you also might want to seek out recommendations from fellow pax to compare services/perks. You can always change moving forward if you find a better fit. That's how we found ours, with whom we've stayed for the last 12 years.
  12. This is our understanding for our Oct Octantis voyage. We are going to Toronto early on our own and will need to arrange for pre-boarding tests ourselves within the 2 day or 72 hour window (antigen vs PCR) prior to boarding.
  13. Yes. I probably should have included that in my post.
  14. Folks seem to be confusing that Canada no longer requires a pre-entry test to enter the country for fully vaccinated travelers with Canada's current requirement that a pre-embarkation test is required for cruises that originate in Canada. If one is flying to arrive in Canada on the day of embarkation, the pre-embarkation test looks might appear to be an entry test since it is often tied to flight departure. If one is flying in early then the requirement differences become more apparent.
  15. Did Oceania provide the Paxlovid?
  16. But you are correct that the FAQs could be clearer and that one could interpret the FAQs as not including the US in the countries for which O will still require pre-cruise tests, since the details section only refers pre July 31 cruises. I simply read that Canada and Greece are examples of countries that still require them, especially since another line published a complete list of countries that still require them and it includes the US. But the most recent complete O document is the Sail Safe one with the FAQs being an amended July 5 version. I tend to go with the most recent one, since everything is changing weekly.
  17. @Jancruzis correct. Oceania is consistent: This intro paragraph you quote says " such as," and in subsequent paragraphs the FAQs become specific to regions. One refers specifically to the US: FOR SAILINGS EMBARKING FROM U.S. PORTS: Oceania Cruises will require that all guests arrive at the embarkation terminal with a negative COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test result from a third-party verified laboratory or pharmacy, taken within 48 hours of arriving to the terminal. All guests must provide proof of a negative test result at embarkation in a digital or printed format. Guests not in possession of a negative, third-party Covid-19 test result will not be allowed to embark for the voyage. Test result documentation must be provided in English and must include the following information: The Safe Sail section states: ADDITIONAL PRE-EMBARKATION HEALTH SCREENING FOR SAILINGS EMBARKING ON OR AFTER AUGUST 1, 2022, Oceania Cruises will no longer require guests to produce a negative covid test to embark their cruise, subject to local regulations. Please Note: Voyages embarking from the United States, Canada and Greece as well as those sailing to Bermuda, will still require a negative covid test at embarkation, until further notice. Looks quite consistent if you read beyond the first paragraph of the FAQs, which is only an introduction to the detail that follows.
  18. Ours were not traditional panoramic tours, but destination focused, but since they were pretty far inland, there were long rides to and from the destinations. Yes, several ours included lunch and they were consistent : chicken with brown gravy and a half pint of beer, everytime 😄. Irish staples. Yes, we did take advantage of these options and were pleased with the pricing.
  19. On our Ireland cruises, busses seemed to be limited to 30 for our day long tours, and some times there were multiple busses of 30.
  20. Some countries require a test to board a cruise from its shores, but not to enter the country. Canada is one (that we verified for an upcoming cruise out of Toronto) and I believe that Greece is another. I believe the difference is that they distinguish entry requirements from transportation requirements.
  21. As Lynn said, yeas, if you're in a PH or higher category. Arrange with the butler for course by course service.
  22. The fares are shown on the website as with OLife and cruise only. The cost of OLife alone (no airfare)is the cruise only is the cruise only plus the OBC amount. But you have to remember that the OBC is per cabin, so OLife alone per person is 1/2 of the OBC above the cruise only fare. It sounds to me you would really benefit by engaging a TA who is an Oceania specialist (not who works for O) who can work you through these idiosyncrasies of O's pricing. Besides, you can get additional benefits that are not available when dealing with O directly.
