  1. I can't believe you really got it back. Great news.
  2. I know you do the facial recognition but you don't have to fill out forms or answer questions or go through the customs booths. So, no need for Global Entry.
  3. No because nobody really has to go through customs. You just leave.
  4. I vote for VS 8188 but you better hurry before the offer is gone.
  5. I would take the upgrade offer. $300 pp for a verandah sounds like a good deal. The verandah will be bigger than an inside. I don't think there is much chance you would get automatically upgraded to this category. If you do decide to upgrade, have a deck plan available because they usually let you pick your cabin.
  6. I would question this revised itinerary. The navigator app often has false information. It would be highly unlikely that they would change the itinerary back to it's previous ports.
  7. I wonder if this is accurate information. My understanding was that the Club Orange priority line at the front desk was for Neptune Suites and people who paid for Club Orange. If they added 4 and 5 star mariners, would that include the Club Orange priority line in the dining room and the shore excursion desk? How about the Club Orange dining room? People have paid to get these Club Orange benefits.
  8. I can understand if Key West is limiting the size of ship or how many ships a day. What I don't understand is why the port is put on the schedule in the first place. They must know it is a problem.
  9. I wonder why they aren't going to Amber Cove which has a nice little shopping area.
  10. Thanks. Something didn't sound right about this but it does look legitimate.
  11. Is Chargerback a legitimate company? Is it connected to Holland America?
  12. I agree. We sailed in November and it just seemed that things were off with service, etc. Also, the ship seemed to be in need of maintenance.
  13. No problem getting the lower price. However, if you have any added promotions, you might lose them if they are not currently being offered. I wouldn't wait to call. Prices can change rapidly.
  14. I was on that sailing of the Nieuw Statendam in April 2022. Not only did they replace the seal, but it didn't hold and they had to do it again. We left a day late on a cruise that had already been been shortened by two days due to scheduled maintenance on the azipod.
  15. The coffeemakers are only available in Neptune Suites so not available to the average cruiser.
  16. I wonder if it has anything to do with Spa purchases. Or shore excursions?
  17. Again, the problem is control of the reservation. If I see a price drop and can't get in touch with the PCC, no one else can help me. And, I might miss an opportunity. Also, if my PCC says "no" I have no recourse. I guess everyone has to decide for themselves how to handle their bookings.
  18. My problem is that I have never found a TA who will solve my problems. Rather than negotiate for a price drop, they tell me it can't be done. If better perks come along, they say it can't be added. Then I have no recourse because the TA controls my reservation. I would rather put up with the bother of dealing directly with HAL. At least I have control of my reservation and figure with enough effort I can resolve the issue.
  19. The problem is that whether it is a TA or a PCC, you have to have the right person. I have found that the person who cares the most about my problems is me which is why I like to have control of my own reservation. Even though I have to go through a lot of trouble to get things resolved, at least I can keep pursuing the problem rather than being told "no" by a TA or PCC.
  20. I am guessing that it is a 7 day charter. They must have decided to add 2 days to the 7 day Eastern Caribbean itinerary and start it on January 17.
  21. A travel agency is showing the Rotterdam sailing a 9 day Eastern Caribbean itinerary on January 17, 2025. What was the itinerary for the 16 day sailing on January 10?
