I am proud to wear earned pin’s on my Holland America lanyard. My pins include one my late parents earned before the “stars” were. In those days they earned by mileage. I have been stopped times by HAL employees who inquired about them. One two weeks ago on the Koninsdam was so interested he gave me his 150 year magnet pin that is awarded to staff. Tears.
Please no “class”. 1953 sailing from Liverpool to Montreal thanks to dads company we had our own bathroom.
There were classes on board. We did not have to go down the hall to use facilities. Decks were assign to your class.
Canned sold from a bar last year was $20.00 for 6 small cans. Don’t know what a glass from the fountain was. May be best to buy the coke sodas plan. Depends how much you use.
Absolutely would love to cruise around the island of Cuba. We have spent many land vacations all over the island. The people are wonderful and there is so much to see.
Hey. I live alone, rarely see anyone. I’m on a wonderful ship with wonderful friendly people. I’m fed, pampered, laundry done, dishes washed. Complain? Would like to stay longer.

I had a keepsake combination knife, 1/34”, nail file, scissors confiscated by customs. A presentation gift to a long time employee from a well known company. It had traveled the world before this.
Just off the Circle Hawaii cruise. I always carry a hole punch to make a round hole instead of the pre punched “slit”. This time there was not hole in the card so I did one. Later the card would not open the door. Went to desks and was told it was because there is a hole in it. Hole had nothing to do with the bar code on it. Go figure.
From one solo to another. We are brave to continue to do something that we loved to do with our late partners. They would not want us to give it up. Please continue to sail when you are better. Would love to cross paths with you on one of our BHB.
