We are getting ready to book our Australia/New Zealand cruise, and we will have to print anything we need because we do not even have the ability to download apps on our phones. Yes, we are in the minority of the world but we hate cell phones and we donāt know anything like that on our phones.

Vacation package offerā¦.too good to be true?
jennmaybe replied to jennmaybe's topic in Princess Cruises
Yeah, we would not be able to use the 7 nights, do flying days and do a cruise. Hubby and I still work and we cannot get that much time off work at once, sadly. -
Vacation package offerā¦.too good to be true?
jennmaybe replied to jennmaybe's topic in Princess Cruises
Ok, so the rep said I only have to put 25% down, which would be $1500. I would then have the $4500 credit. Then he said I can call back and book the cruise. Think Iāll sit on it some more. Any-whooā¦I think Iām good now. Thanks everyone!! -
Vacation package offerā¦.too good to be true?
jennmaybe replied to jennmaybe's topic in Princess Cruises
So, I get the package for $6000. The cruise I am looking at is $4462. If I use the $4500 credit for that cruise, is that not the same thing as just paying $1500 for the cruise? I apologize if I sound like an idiot here, but that is why Iām trying to figure this out. š¤Ŗ -

Has anyone out there actually booked the package? I am looking for more feedback now from individuals who have done this. -

Total pointless response. š. Also, where did you read that I said I wished for this? -
Vacation package offerā¦.too good to be true?
jennmaybe replied to jennmaybe's topic in Princess Cruises
So, booking a $6000 cruise and only paying $1500 is not a good deal? That must be where Iām confused. It sounds like a great deal. Also, the rep advised the 7 nights is at a hotel of our choice. Again, not worried about the 7 nights, but just wanted to add that in there. -
Vacation package offerā¦.too good to be true?

I did a search for vacation packages, but I cannot find anything related to this. Everything kept coming up about soda packages, alcohol, etc.. I really donāt have the time to go through 40 pages to search for something. š -
Vacation package offerā¦.too good to be true?
jennmaybe replied to jennmaybe's topic in Princess Cruises
That is the total for all 3 of us. I am not looking to do a cruise and land package deal. I could care less about the 7 nights of hotel. I am more interested in paying $6000 and then getting $4500 credit. -
So, we all know that saying, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. So, that is why I am coming to my CC experts for their thoughts, opinions, or even experience. I contacted Princess this morning to try and book a family suite for Australia/New Zealand for late 2025, early 2026. The representative began telling me about their vacation package offer. We have sailed Princess before but we have never been offered anything like this, so thatās why I need some expert advice here. The package cost $6000. It offers $4500 in future cruise credit, $200 OBC and hotel of our choice up to 7 nights. He advised me that I can book the package and then turn around and immediately call back, book the cruise and apply the $4500 to this cruise. The total price for the family suite for the cruise I am looking at is $4462. So, once I pay the $1500 down payment, the future cruise credit would cover the rest of the cruise. š¤š³ Has anyone had experience with their packages and can advise me if this is truly legit or if there is something in there that I am not catching? Thanks yaāll in advance! š

So glad to hear they still use the cards. We took our 2nd Princess cruise several months ago and we absolutely hated the medallions. We had to go to guest services numerous times, because our medallions picked up other peoples charges and we had to have them removed.

30th Anniversary Med Cruise - Help!
jennmaybe replied to Rooster Cogburn's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Hello fellow North Carolinian! We are from NC, but moved to FL a few years ago! We did our first Mediterranean cruise back in October and in my opinion, it was absolutely the best time to go. The ship was not full, and we did not have issues in the ports with heavy crowds, except just getting off the ship, of course. The weather was absolutely perfect. We had temps anywhere from the mid 70s to low 80s every day. Our favorite ports were Santorini and both ports in Italy. Now, we did a Princess cruise, only because Sicily, Italy & Santorini were on my bucket list and Princess was the only line that offer both of these ports on one cruise. I am not sure that any of us could tell you which are the best ports, only because we are all going to have different favorites. My recommendation to you would be to do some research, whether it be here or on Google in general and get an idea of where you want to go. As far as length, I would jump on a 14 day cruise, however, my husband and I still both work for a living and taking a 2 week cruise is not an option for us. š Whichever you decide, I hope you have a wonderful time! -
How about ultimate Texas holdāem on Reflection? Live dealers?
-
My hubby wouldnāt drink these if they were the last options on Earth. š Iāll keep saying itā¦as long as people pay these prices, theyāll keep pushing prices up and up. Hubby doesnāt waste our money on a drink package, ( I donāt drink, so no package for us), but he wonāt pay these prices either.

Happy Retirement and thank you for so many years of service! You are actually my former neighbor as I am from Winston-Salem. Moved to FL 3 yrs ago! We wanted easy access to cruises all year long. šš We have our first Celebrity cruise coming up in May and on Reflection. I am so happy to see this report!

A cruise from Australia š¦šŗ
jennmaybe replied to little britain's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We are planning to do Australia/NZ in the Fall of 2025ā¦ā¦.if RC will ever release the schedule! š -
After 17 years of cruising, we have never, ever paid for a beverage package and we never have any intention on doing so. The prices are just absolutely ludicrous and you would have to do a lot of drinking to justify the cost. As long as people are willing to pay it, they will continue charging their outrageous prices and they will continue increasing as much as they can. We prefer to pay for a balcony cabin in lieu of wasting money on a beverage package.

We also have our first Celebrity cruise booked for this May. Here is a post from me describing my customer service experience with Celebrity. I am not going to let this interfere with us having a great time on the cruise, but it certainly does make me question whether I will book another cruise with them. Have a wonderful cruise and Happy early Birthday!

Thanks everyone on your responses regarding getting a TA. I have major trust issues, and I just cannot trust anyone to handle vacation plans for us. My husband and I have traveled all over the world doing cruises and land-based-vacations, including road trips, driving from the East Coast all the way to the West Coast, and I just cannot imagine letting anyone try to book these vacations for us. I would have to go behind them and make sure everything was accurate anyway, so I am better off doing it myself.š¤Ŗ Did anyone see the show many years ago on Oasis of the Seas where the passenger could not board because someone else booked the cruise and they had the name wrong on the cruise booking? š³

Oh gosh! I get it and you are right. Itās not just Celebrity. Now days, itās so many companies we call to get help with something. I am glad you were able to get it done and I hope you enjoy your cruise! š
