  1. I see...just a new operator, not that you can't ride from the Canadian side...semantics...LOL. I'm from 'the area', visited often and didn't know the company had changed.
  2. We took it from the Canadian side ...have they stopped that? I know if you went through the caves you had to go from the US side.
  3. It's apparently Prince Edward Island....have a grandson onboard.
  4. This demonstrates what has happened to cruising and this message board...less gentlemen and lady behaviour. Even though some of this is true, I suppose there are those who see the worst in others and have a need to share in an unkindly fashion. It does get attention which, no doubt, is the purpose in the post.
  5. There is no comparison to dishwashers cum cooks and performers...however...you've been given too much air time already. You just seem to be a crabby person looking to vent your spleen. Sincerely wish you a nice day.
  6. Someone thinks this comment is funny?.....👎.....mostly these are young people just starting out with many training years behind them. Of course, some better than others but they don't just walk on to Broadway shows...they have to start somewhere. They perform what they're given and are professionals. Show some respect.
  7. thanks for that. We sometimes book premium concierge and my X TA told me in the past we have the lower rate but I see it as the same rate I'm paying. Will check again this time.
  8. Not very many outside the industry knew that JA Ryan was the NCL choreographer! Very inventive and entertaining. My daughter was in Sea Legs...great show and I'm not the least bit biased....😉
  9. After all these years sailing X I seem to find out from CC posters savings I've never heard about. What is the Cap Club discount for a cabin?? unless that means the one cabin upgrade for the same price as the lower one? and the premium WiFi for Elite + was new to me as well.
  10. I would think that if that lounger was on an aft SV balcony, it would bounce all the way down to the ocean...or...land on another balcony. The story seems a stretch.
  11. I pack the cubes in our luggage, with DH tees, etc in some and my items in others....easy to lift out and place them in the overhead cabinets and remove whichever item we need, then put back 'up top'. Worked for several cruises. There are sets you can purchase on Amazon which are in different sizes, mesh tops to see through, shoes and laundry bag. Have 2 sets in different colours for DH and me...and they're reasonably priced.
  12. Those two 'dinky' chairs are reason enough for me to not book an E class suite (I hope those are not on S class verandahs).
  13. That will make DH ....VERY HAPPY....H is one of his favourites and usually hard to come by onboard.
  14. I worked out what our cruise would have been if we had paid 'cruise only' fare, included the option of paying grats in advance, and added a classic drink pkg. We already have the E+ WiFi. It came out to more $$s and Cruise Only had no OBC attached. The drink pkg on its own in Can. funds was $2329.40. We could never drink that many $$s worth of wine and beer. So paying as you go, even if it's a nuisance, works out better. I'm going to wait until after Oct. 4th and compare pricing then as well. BTW...LOL on the savings! 🤑🤔
  15. do you know for sure that E+ receives Premium WiFi? I just paid to upgrade from what I thought was basic and will cancel the purchase if it's already included.
  16. Wouldn't AC be compelled to find alternate flights for those who have booking confirmation? or perhaps a straight refund and we're on our own.
  17. Absolutely! Those two shows are hard to understand and appreciate and need to be retired. My daughter is/was a professional entertainer/actress/. She worked on several lines with wonderful shows...NCL had a great choreographer....Carnival put a lot into their shows...Holland America styled theirs to the 'older' crowd...and we did enjoy Royal C's. X started inhouse choreography some time ago and nothing has changed on S/M class. However I'm told E class shows are very good. Not to say S/M aren't...they are just tired. The dancers work their little 'feet' off to entertain their guests and unfortunately the singers sometimes screech, but if long time X cruisers are bored with the show I hope they don't take it out on the talent. We know what they go through to even get through the auditions for their 'job', so we do appreciate each effort.
  18. DH read that AC pilots are considering a strike around Christmas or late autumn if negotiations don't go well. Who knows how much of that is true....rumours are everywhere. Can't find anything other than that news item.
  19. We have the AI pkg and we both think whatever is offered will be just fine with us...not being hard to please with mixed drinks, beer or wine. I looked at it as DH has beer preferences but even if we were hard drinkers I'd think the pricing is way too high....or maybe I'm out of step with costs for liquor , etc. now.
  20. Am I missing something or is my math off base. If I upgrade my existing AI beverage pkg. to premium, the cost will be $24 pp/pd =$48 pp x 10 = $480?? Is the premium pkg. really worth that price? or is there a lesser price based on my included basic bev. pkg.? I've checked online and it doesn't give me the benefit of having an AI pkg. *** Actual cost for 2 to upgrade in Cdn. $$s; IMO that is exorbitant!
  21. Sometimes there is no one on hand in the specialty dining area that early, and the Maitre d' isn't at his stand so this is what I've done in the past....elevator right up to the OV, first one 'in line', and booked all my preferences with the one person. Helps to have your list of venues and times on hand so it moves quicker and those waiting behind with thank you...LOL.
  22. We always pre purchase our Spec. dining but at payout there's no CC discount. One time onboard we asked about it and we were told we rec'd it at the time of purchase as the dining had already been discounted....and round and round we go. One time, however, an astute server caught our E+, asked the manager how he would apply the discount, and we had it credited to our account. Confusing...yes? We don't bother questioning now...not worth the back and forth.
  23. Thanks....but too late for me.😒
  24. Hi....yes, we've flown several times in Economy 'Comfort' class. Seats are no different, maybe a little more space, preferred seating near front of the plane behind Business. I'm wondering why you'd pay $65 for seats. With Comfort you have seat selection and 1 bag per person included, also anytime cancellation/change privilege.
