  1. You have $644.50 in Previously Made Reservations, and you paid $519.65 in Previous Payments Received, so you have used $124.85 in OBC. Not counting the Gift Credits, you have a total of $392.50 in OBC, so you have $267.65 in remaining OBC (not counting the Gift Credits). I don't know why Princess charged your credit card that much. I suspect one of two reasons: You did not initially have all of that OBC, and you booked excursions before all the OBC was posted. You booked excursions using all of the OBC, and then cancelled some of the excursions. Princess did not refund your credit card, because the total excursions cost was still more than the amount paid by credit card. I have several other things to do, and I won't be doing the arithmetic for everyone on the Roll Call. Anyone (other than Renee😜) should be able to figure it out using these examples.
  2. I've found the only really good option for disembarkation. Stay on the ship for a B2B.
  3. Since you are referencing your Personalizer, I assume you are referring to checking excursion reservations and OBC in advance of the cruise - not onboard. Select any available excursion to book. Select a time and select all guests in cabin and click on "ADD TO CART". Click on "PAY NOW". You will get a list of the new excursions to book - one for each passenger you selected. Click on "PAY NOW". You will then see an EXCURSION RESERVATIONS SUMMARY for each passenger. It will show "Reservations in Cart" (the new ones you just entered), "Previously Made Reservations" (the total for reservations already booked), "Previous Payments Received" (the total credit card payments you've already made for excursions), and "Onboard credits applied" (the total OBC already applied to excursions). It will also show the "Subtotal" due for each passenger and the "Total Balance Due" if you want to book these new excursions. If you click on "Show Credits" under "Onboard credits applied", it will show you all of your OBC. Two ways to calculate remaining OBC separately for each passenger: Subtract "Onboard credits applied" from "Total" under "Show Credits". The difference is the remaining OBC available. Subtract "Subtotal" payable from "Reservations in Cart". This difference is the amount of OBC to pay for this excursion. Now that you have completed your calculations, select "Remove" besides each excursion in the list. Note that you have not reserved any new excursions and you have not charged anything to your credit card or to your OBC.
  4. Once it has been verified on your Personalizer, if it has not been applied to all of your booked cruises, call Princess or your travel agent if you used one. I wouldn't count on their system automatically applying it to existing bookings once approved.
  5. The problem is with the Kindle e-reader - not with other tablets. The Kindle Fire is a fully functional tablet with normal internet access. The Kindle e-reader is a special purpose e-reader with limited internet access.
  6. The limitation is in the Kindle - not the ship's internet. The ship's internet requires you to log on using your credentials. This may be difficult to do on the Kindle. You may be able to do it, but it's a lot easier to download all the books at home.
  7. It may be easier to respond to these questions if you mentioned their ages. There's a lot of difference between a 17-year-old minor and a 6-year-old minor, and some of the rules and procedures may be different depending on their age. You may not be able to list one of them as owner of a credit card. You would need to enter your credit card and then list them as authorized users. I don't know how to do that for someone in a different cabin - maybe someone else will be able to answer. When onboard, depending on their age and maturity, you may want to put a limit on their charging privileges. You would do that at Guest Services onboard. Have the kids been able to log on to their own account on the app from home? If so, they probably can onboard.
  8. It depends on the itinerary - Quebec City to New York, New York to Quebec City, and Quebec City to Fort Lauderdale may be different. Once she is in Caribbean, things may change again. I am on the October 19th cruise from Quebec City to Fort Lauderdale with two formal nights and ten smart casual nights. The first formal night is already listed in JourneyView in the app. It is October 17th (the first sea day). The first formal night is also the "Captain's Champagne Waterfall". The second formal night is not yet listed, but it will be either October 28th or 29th at the end of the cruise. This cruise has three sea days at the end, and the last night is never a formal night. You can find the formal nights in JourneyView by looking for "Formal Portraits Tonight" in the list of Events as soon as they are listed - sometimes in advance, sometimes not.
  9. This was a good idea before, but it's an even better idea now, since those with Premier get free digital copies of every picture they're in. I haven't bothered with pictures on Princess before, but I will now.
  10. If you don't have Princess Vacation Protection, I would not expect Princess to waive the cancellation fees. This itinerary change is certainly not within their control. Even if it was, they are not obligated to give refunds according to their passage contract.
  11. My first piece of advice is to read the detailed plan documentation - not just the summary. On Cruise Personalizer, select "Luggage Tag & Travel Summary" at the top of the page. Under Additional Forms & Documents, select "Princess Vacation Protection Plan Description". Under "Princess Vacation Protection - Platinum Plan Details", "Select State" and "Download". I only see states in the United States listed - I don't see provinces in Canada listed. Therefore, I'm not sure if the following applies to Canada as well as the United States. The applicable paragraph for "Vacation Protection "ANY REASON" Travel Credits" says "In the event that you choose to cancel for a reason not authorized above or for a reason that is otherwise restricted, at any time up until departure, and you have purchased Vacation Protection, Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours will provide you a travel credit equal to 100% of the non-refundable value of your cruise vacation prepaid to Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours, for your use toward a future cruise vacation. . . . To be eligible for credits, notification of cancellation must be given to Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours prior to the ship’s departure." Note that the only restriction appears to be that you have to notify Princess "prior to the ship's departure."
  12. The smaller ships provide muck boots because their passengers land in Antartica. Princess passengers do not.
  13. In order to have landings in Antarctica, a cruise ship has to have no more than 500 passengers. There are several expedition lines that do so, but Princess does not. I went on a Hurtigruten Antarctica cruse on a ship that normally sailed with 640 passengers (double occupancy), but they limited capacity to 500 passengers for the Antarctica cruise. They had a very small single supplement, since they couldn't fill all of the cabins double occupancy anyway. I don't think Princess has any ships that they can economically sail with only 500 passengers.
  14. Going through security is pretty easy even without pre check. In a wheelchair, you will bypass most lines.
  15. If you cancel less than five days before sailing, it goes into your shipboard account as OBC - no matter how you paid. If you paid by credit card, the credit card payment is refundable OBC. If you paid by OBC, you didn't actually pay yet - they just reseved the OBC, so you still have the original OBC. It's different if you cancel more than five days before sailing. I cancelled some excursions paid for by a combination of credit card and OBC. They refund to OBC first. Remember they haven't actually charged your OBC yet - they've just reserved it. They refund to credit card only if the total cost of the remaining excursions is less than the total paid by credit card, and then they refund to credit card only the difference between the amount paid by credit card and the total cost of all of your booked excursions. Note also that any shipboard OBC refund goes on the account of the passenger for whom the excursion was booked. It doesn't matter who paid for the excursion.
  16. You may need to go through the Spa to access the pool on Deck 15. Even though most things in the Spa require payment, you don't need to pay to pass through to the pool.
  17. Cabin pictures won't show an outlet behind the nightstand beside the bed. That's what I always do for my CPAP also. Make sure that your European plug has two outlets - a European outlet to plug the lamp back in and a US outlet for the CPAP.
  18. This is not always accurate. It could show a lot of cabins available, but Princess could have sold a lot of guarantees that aren't assigned yet.
  19. I faxed mine because that used to be the only way to do it. I didn't hear for a couple of weeks. Then I emailed it and got the OBC the next day. I recommend you resubmit by email.
  20. We cancelled a cruise on 22 September 2022. We received a FCC for the cruise cancellation fees of $7,101.00. We did not receive any refund for the Princess Vacation Protection (PVP) cost of $662.76. The FCC had an Expires date of "Sail By 12/31/23". Note that it expired at the end of the calendar year the year after cancellation. Also note this is a "Sail By" date - not a "Book By" date. If your cancel before final payment and you have paid for PVP before you cancel (paid for - not just selected), then you may be able to receive FCC for the cancellation fee (which would be the nonrefundable deposit). However, PVP is normally fully refundable before final payment. But it is not refundable if you have made a claim. If you cancel before final payment, you would only want to use PVP to get FCC for a nonrefundable deposit if the nonrefundable deposit is greater than the cost of the PVP.
  21. Water is also available from the tap in your cabin. Ship's tap water is perfectly good for drinking.
  22. It is not appropriate to talk about your so-called sexual conquests in any public place, including a bar. I would like to hang out at a bar with DW without her having to hear about your sexual conquests. I also don't know what you mean about "taking up drinkers spaces". A kid buying a soda is every bit as much of a customer of that bar as someone buying a whiskey.
  23. It would also affect people with FCDs. If you cannot hold without a deposit, then you have to apply your FCD. Two problems with this: If you cancel the cruise, you have to wait for the FCD to be returned before you can use it again. If you use a Princess Vacation Planner (PVP), you have to either book or deposit the cruise with the PVP. If you book and deposit the cruise online, then the PVP does not receive credit for the booking and can't help you with it. My PVP told me to book online with a hold and then call her to deposit.
  24. You stated that booking the Alaska Railroad independently gives the best views and legroom. Are the views and legroom really better than the rail transfer I booked with the hotel from Princess?
