  1. As said plan on doing all of them, 100%. Would Cancel day I knew something changed like Family Emergency/Death. Wouldn't sit on them. Also inc Free Gratuities and OBC. Normally hard for any line to get me low as Royal with Discounts inc SOLO 340+ but these were close
  2. Booked my first 4 Holland America Cruises last 4 months as they ran low SOLO and down payment specials. First 2 were $25ea down for a 18 nite Hawaii and a 16 nite Xmas/New years. Second 2 amount was $1 for each 15nite and a 14nite, both Panama Canals. Yes plan on going, but if don't $25 or $1 lost really isnt a big deal.
  3. Sounds like you're correct. Though I've done B2B on Ship's where one week was 530, next 6. Have one sailing coming Early MD is going be at 5pm.
  4. 11 Cruises coming up, only one the Florida-Boston Repo goes there. Havent been to Coco Cay in over 2 Decades
  5. True but just repeating whats stated on here all the time. Many others are not aware or complain when they have to wait and dont "Board" until well after after Check in
  6. Technically that is Pier Check in time, not actually Boarding time
  7. 50+ Radiance Class Cruises, almost all 10+ nites, Repos, Panama Canal and at most once had 50 Kids, this when Senior Crew brought Families onboard a Boston/Florida Repo it was just before most changing over. Low runs about 10, usually 20 at most. Also Lucky, havent been on a 100% or higher Full Ship since the 90's. Passengers on my Radiance Class Sailings run 1750-2050, less during post CV startup
  8. Yeah that's too bad, should keep up on it. Doesnt matter if Ship is 1 or 26yrs old keep up on the Maint, Wear and keep Rust under control. Did 4 Cruises on Enchantment in the 90's, was my Kids first Cruises. Seen them do the Annual Maint I described on Jewel, Serenade and Brilliance. One yr they were replacing Balcony Furniture one Deck each week on turnaround day. Next yr was Mattress's by the hundred each week... I'm on Oct 2023 and 2024 Radiance Panama Canal so Thank you, Love the Pic's and enjoying the Thread!
  9. Did the Oct Serenade Panama Canal and inc the Back/Forth to match Port times think it was 7 Clock Changes
  10. Started Cruising in 80's every Cabin inc Cheapest had Fruit Basket. Full of Fresh items they'd Replaced every day of Cruise
  11. I did the Boston to Florida Repo for over Decade. After Summer in EU, Fall in Canada the next half dozen Cruises in Caribbean they'd do all Ship upkeep. Paint everything White, Shampoo Carpets, replace Furniture and remove all railings, sand and stain. On B4B's one week my Balcony would have a Railing, next week we didn't, 3rd week you'd have it back and they'd work on other Cabins
  12. Yup, one bathroom really wasn't big deal. Grandpa 2nd of 10, Mother had 6 Sisters, Me oldest of 10 though at most 7 of us sharing bathroom. Only time had second bath was after I moved out. Though being a Boy and living in Country have to admit most time potty breaks no issue
  13. Agree, did 6 Cruises on Vision Class in 90's, no Coolers in OV's. And yes outer door open can keep it colder by 3-6 Degrees(I did check temps). When they started putting Coolers(not Fridges) in Cabins in late 90's starting with Voyager Class they were filled with Candies, Chocolates and chips to Buy, just cool enough keep from melting.
  14. I do B4B or longer and every few Cruises they'd change Color or style of Cups...Last Sept-Nov were using pictured one and the Flimsy Amusement park style ones on Cruise. Changed 3 times or colors on 5 legs
  15. I done dozen longer Repo's many with 40-50% Upper Tier. So most time in Evenings they'll reserve 2-3 Lounges these. This Sailing even more heavy high end upper tier doesnt surprise me at all
  16. Even Pre-CV would get Confirmation less then 2/3 the time Requests should be sent 2-3 weeks from sailing. Further out they have chance get lost or even Changed
  17. Nope, you try mock Booking for Different date and/or Ship see if getting same issue?
  18. Will they catch them all, no. But Royal has been known to seize surge and non protected. Been doing that while now.
  19. I know right?! ...Pre-CV was trying plan it where went by Ship both ways. Rare but once in while can time it right when 1-2 are going opposite direction within Days of first crossing.
  20. I've seen them take cords on Royal, naughty table had few on them also
  21. If so plan on paying going rate. Might be lot higher that day for walk up then you a person prebooked/paid or on multi-meal paid plan discount. Would recommend both of you have reservation even if sharing a table
  22. Yes, have seen that myself and at least couple times having multiple Bags under Beds filled with linen and even Towels and wash cloths Like said I have 3 different Sets, 1 Hard and 2 Soft side that will not fit under the the Beds without lifting Bed off the Floor. This even with them open. Usually Bags will fit but not always
  23. Yes, 99.9% will fit. I have several sets that do not. The base of Spinner Wheels make it couple inchs too thick. It will sit under there but matress frame will be off the ground. Always travel SOLO so no space issue, I put one in suitcase in the closet and other corner of Cabin
  24. Forgot to mention was lucky on last Cruise. Had earliest available check-in for non-Suites @11am, they had 10:30. My UBER showed up at Hotel 25min early and ended up at Pier by 10:20. On the Ship at 10:35
