  1. Yes, same for us but as this was an extra cruise for this year, we didn’t bother bidding from our Aqua cabin. The only main difference would have been a slightly bigger cabin, which still wouldn’t have been updated. I’m presuming that most of the ship will be mainly Brits because the pricing was so cheap over here, due to the redeployment.
  2. Thanks, Dianne 😊. We’re getting excited now with only a couple of days remaining.
  3. More similar than different and we’ve sailed both lines (see signature).
  4. We used to enjoy going there, especially on embarkation day. The kids loved it too - fond memories.
  5. I know, but it’s still worth checking the policy to make sure that what is quoted is for the two of them or pp, as was stated by another US poster above.
  6. I would double check this as I recently confirmed with my insurance company as we have a family policy and I was informed that the amount quoted on the document was per person (I was concerned that the amount was too low and they stated it was pp).
  7. Glad you are having a super time. I do hope it’s only 2/3rds full when we join you next week 🤞🏻. We’re definitely looking forward to some R&R.
  8. Agree. We had one or two credits per cruise, depending on length if I recall rightly, and they were converted to points when it changed over around 10 years ago, but both were kept independent of the line you cruised. From X’s section in past cruise history online: Before November 25, 2013 members earned one loyalty credit for each of the following scenarios: Sailing on any cruise Sailing on any itinerary of 12 nights or longer, including Cruise Tours (applicable to sailings on or after January 1, 2003) Sailing in a Concierge Class stateroom, Aqua Class stateroom or Suite (applicable to sailings on or after January 1, 2004) On November 25, 2013 Captain’s Club converted from awarding credits to awarding Club Points based on number of nights and stateroom category. Credits earned prior to this date were converted to Club Points at a rate of 1 credit to 30 Club Points.
  9. Does soda on the HH menu include mocktails (non-frozen drinks) or is it just limited to single items in cans? We’ve always had the package previously, so this is a new experience for us - change is as good as a rest 🤣.
  10. I’ve just checked online on my iPad and it’s giving me the option of both for our 2025 itinerary. Have you tried on another device or clearing your history to see if that works?
  11. Thank you, that’s the same route as ours 👍. I’ll take a look at the tour you mentioned. Did you find all the visas easy enough to obtain? It just so happens that we’re on Millie both this year and next. Looking forward to seeing how she’s been updated since our last sailing on her 👍.
  12. Did you cruise Mumbai to Singapore? If so, did you take any independent tours or were they all from the ship? Would welcome any recommendations as we’re cruising the same itinerary, in the opposite direction, next year.
  13. Possibly good. I’m on the same sailing, not entered a bid as of yet, and we, as of this morning, now have additional suites to bid on.
  14. @di T What have your first impressions been of Infinity? Have you noticed any of the recent upgrades to the ship?
  15. That’s why I suggested to check as it only appears to be favourable on this side of the pond if they are running a promotion. Glad you are sorted 👍.
  16. That’s obviously changed recently, Jim, as we did go back ashore in Sydney. We are talking 2012 on Solstice, so things may have possibly changed since then 🤭.
  17. X have been advertising some special deals on flights to Europe e.g. £49pp return. We have used them for our next cruise later this month as, again, it was a special offer. This is the first time we haven’t booked our own flights direct with the airline, and like I previously stated, it’s just because there was a special offer available and it was cheaper than booking with the airline. So, it’s worth checking what they are offering for the sailing you are considering.
  18. Do you intend to do a review of Millie? Would be great to read 👍.
  19. From one of your previous posts on this thread regarding the option of a RD, are you stating that we see that page over here as I do not recall ever seeing that option online (only when booking via the US)? The £150pp deposit is greyed out on the first line of the breakdown, suggesting that is NR. Are you stating that this is not the case?
  20. Both my DSs have to wear gowns to formals at the different universities they are at over here.
  21. …and there’s you coming from a university city which still has formals where gowns are worn 😁.
