  1. I did stay at a Holiday Inn this past weekend, but RLS is still out of my area of expertise.
  2. I've taken my clubs in a travel bag on board a cruise ship many times.
  3. Well, I’m confused. 1st it’s a BIG bag, then it’s a medium bag, now it’s a 13X20.
  4. Make sure you research further. Sounds like you would have to purchase a policy that waived Pre-existing medical conditions. Yes, family members not traveling with you fall under this stipulation.
  5. What do you want to insure against? First thing to know is that travel insurance is reimbursement only in 99.5% of instances. Second, travel insurance is not a catch all in every situation. Each instance is defined as to what is and what is not covered. In my situation, I can afford the loss of the cruise if I need to cancel. What I cannot afford is the potential financial devastation of a major medical emergency. So, I share the medical risk with travel insurance and I self insure everything else.
  6. So, are you asking if Carnival, Royal, and Norwegian would all get together to collude and conspire to ensure MSC doesn't become the worlds largest cruise line company?
  7. Why would they celebrate the 4th of July on an international ship with international passengers in international water? They don't have fireworks on July 1st for Canadians. They don't do anything on June 12th for the Philippines. Nothing on July 14th. Nothing on Aug 15th. All equally important dates for the citizens of these countries.
  8. From the time you lock the front door until you return and unlock the door is one (1) trip.
  9. Along those lines and not cruise related, my employer had a last-minute job at a DOD facility in another country. They were looking for volunteers to travel. I wasn't the best person for the job (lack of experience) but I was the only one with a passport. For the next 20 years, I was the one they came to.
  10. What’s the plan of attack should someone say it was disturbing to them?
  11. Have you gone to the medication manufacturers website. I use Embrel injectors. This medication requires refrigeration, however, they also say that it’s okay to go 14 days without refrigeration. They will also send me a travel cooler bag for my medication if needed.
  12. Analog phones don’t connect to wifi. They don’t have the capability
  13. Kudos for doing their job? They’re supposed to do their job. I don’t receive a letter of appreciation or (kudos) when I show up to work on time. WN get no acknowledgment from me.
  14. It could also be possible that a claim adjuster would want to know who your primary care provider is and would request a full and complete copy of your medical records looking for any history that could lead to a pre-existing condition. Obviously, your case didn’t warrant such a review.
  15. Sounds like you need to speak to a broker who can help you find a policy that may help alleviate your concerns. Steve, from TripInsuranceStore.com has been in the business for many years. In fact, he helps answer many questions here on CruiseCritic on the Insurance board. You can call them. Their phone number is in this link. 16. Rather than a 3rd party, and since previous posts indicate Italy, why not check out ItalyTours.EU I've had great success with them as have many others
  17. That's good to know about Clear. Is there only one (like at SEA) that has the Clear in conjunction with Pre-Check? If so, do you recall which one?
  18. Hopefully PHX isn't that messed up. Current research indicates that if I want to change terminals at PHX, I have to go out of security, jump on the Sky Train, take this to Terminal 4 and have to go thru security again? Tell me my research is bad or I haven't found the latest information.
  19. Depends on the charter group. In your case an NFL football charter? Depends on the team.
  20. In April 2021, I filed a claim. Not a simple one, but not that difficult. It was late July before the claim process was completed.
  21. Playmakers is great for watching NFL games. The one time I was on the ship, they had every game being televised. I was a very fun atmosphere. Spend as little as you want or as much as you want. Just because you're in a bar, doesn't mean you have to drink alcohol. Soft drinks or water is just fine.
  22. I'm sure you could still have a great time, but if Gma & Gpa can go, you will probably have more free time cause they'll be spoilin the heck out of the grandkids
  23. A lot of various wines. Royal is great about this. They have a Sommelier who explains the wines, and why it is paired with that course. And Yes, the wine is included in the price.
  24. Almost all travel insurance is reimbursment with some exceptions whereas the insurance company may (at theri discretion) offer a letter of ability to pay. GeoBlue does have a worldwide network where they can direct pay. However, in your example of a heart attack in Paris) there is no way that the emergency responders are going to take you to a known in network facility. They're just going to take you to the closest Level 1 trauma facility. And in an emergency, who in your group is going to sit back and think about that. But, to answer your question, many people here have GeoBlue. I don't, because it's not sold in my State. Many of us recommend a great broker who has helped thousands.
