  1. For a great beach/lunch/drinks day, the only two of note are Cecelia’s and Catherine’s. Book direct in advance.
  2. Okay, so many, but pertinent, questions. All pools can be seen from the public areas, including the front row tables in the restaurant. There are no 100% totally private pools. The pool beds are mostly in the sun. All views from beds/pools are fabulous. As one’s requirements are quite personal and specific, as to what one would consider “the best”. Therefore, suggest a scroll through all photographs, take a screenshot of the pool desired, then phone and discuss one’s selection, in detail, directly with SR to book one’s desired position. SR are nice people and will be happy to help.
  3. Yes, but they make a small charge for “posting from ship”. Think from memory (pre covid) it was over $1.00 plus the cost of the stamp. In no doubt CC will confirm latest prices.
  4. Pre-covid it was $6 pp e/w - Best to work on a maximum of $8 USD accepted. Gratuities were appreciated on disembarking, but don’t know if now a protocol.

  6. Ask GS for a couple of free Sewing Kits early in one’s voyage. If not used, retain for future cruises. If having a good experience and wish to consider booking again. Do so onboard to receive additional OBC, being over and above regular Cunard Fares and Shareholder Benefit. Consider buying 100 Shares to receive the OBC benefit. Shares can be purchased as part of one’s pension holdings. Only one benefit per stateroom is allowed. Currently the share price is about $8 per share = $800 Link to benefits….. https://www.cunard.com/content/dam/cunard/marketing-assets/pdf/Shareholders_Benefits_2020.pdf Math… taking three off voyages in the future at 14 or more nights, one receives a total of $750 in OBC, while retaining the actual shares at market rates - Return on investment is? - A no brainer
  7. Mods please move to Barbados…..
  8. Go for Pinney’s and Sunshine’s for great lunch and a few “Killer Bees” Ferry Info and Schedule https://www.sknvibes.com/travel/ferry.cfm Fare was $7 pp e/w No S.H.T. to be seen. Killer Bees appears to be a refreshing fruit punch, that encourages more. Then one opens one’s eyes and thinks “What am I doing in t6e back of a Police Van?” 😉
  9. Sunday will be no problem for tours……best tour. https://adventureantigua.com/activities/the-xtreme-circumnav/ Book early as space is limited and sell out quickly Add For a bespoke “Food” tour to one’s requirements, do contact http://www.lawrenceofantigua.com
  10. Credit cards. A bundle of dollars, for discreet daily and end of cruise gratuities (but only if one wishes to do this). For the lady, it’s bling, bling and more bling. Names and address of family, friends etc., to send them a physical postcard from the ship. One’s selection of wine, spirits and beer as there is not limit, as Cunard treat their guests as responsible adults. Remember there is extra storage in large drawers under, at the foot of, one’s bed.
  11. One offered recommendations based on one’s personal preferences and requirements. It appears there are genteel and discerning cruisers on CC, having no wish to visit VC and it’s like, being popular destinations for S.H.T. Think the OP may have booked Sheer Rocks, meeting their requirements and closer to the port. @SueMo May one suggest one does spend the day, taking lunch/drinks etc., at Catherine’s, Cecelia’s or Sheer Rocks next time on Antigua. They will not disappoint.
  12. Contact COSOL, they will be happy to organise your bespoke tour. https://www.cosol-tours.com
  13. The tourist office will have all answers, give them a call https://sanjuanpuertorico.com/visitors-information-tourism-offices/ to
  14. One’s driver could arrange to be ship side, albeit at the drop off/check in point. But rules may have changed, so check with one’s operator to make allowances for a slight delay. In no doubt they will work with one.
  15. Best Hotel being close (adjacent) to port is Southampton Harbour. However if seeking something a little bit special, away from the port then consider Lime Wood.
  16. Never had a problem with a private taxi to Marriott et al, and many will value one’s advice.
  17. The sewage (effluent) problem will never disappear. Link to previous thread, with information
  18. https://mystkittstouristinformation.com/taxis-buses-and-ferries-in-st-kitts-and-nevis/ All one’s additional questions can be answered by the official organisation via their contact us page.
  19. Marmalade for dinner, take the wine pairing menu and book early as popular with locals, holiday makers and cruisers. Pre-dinner cocktails at the Mezzanine. Happy hour (hours) from 4pm onwards.
  20. Think it could be Leather World International, as they have their main outlets in Turkey.
  21. Sorry to hear one’s day at Catherine’s was marred by unscrupulous and greedy people. As an assist to future travellers, one posts the official taxi rates for 2021 onwards. Please retain and present. Catherine’s is within the Pigeon Point charge band. https://www.antiguanice.com/v2/page.php?page=25Antigua
  22. Help please. Seem to remember, many years ago, there was a shared minibus shuttle service to the Royal SL. Think think the rate was $10/12 pp e/w. With beds for $20 with an umbrella. Does the shuttle service still run? This may be of interest to the poster.
  23. Holland House had a fabulous “Chef Special” Seafood Platter for two to share. Also their wine list has a Montrachet to go perfectly with. But book and order platter in advance. Take the upper level for the views across the bay. Call them, as it’s good to talk.
  24. COSOL TOURS…. The Best…..They have many off the shelf tours at various prices and can also offer bespoke.
  25. Contact this guy….. Bespoke tours for one’s precise requirements, sights, lunch etc., priced accordingly.
