There are mixture of table configurations - Google “cunard britannia club dining room photographs” to browse. But configurations photographed can change - But in Club, if not content with table, the MD will assist to ensure one has an excellent dining experience.

Feel one should look at the convenience and costs by staying at an Airport Hotel, then take Rome Cabs (or another supplier-shared or otherwise) direct to port. The faffing about with cab from Hotel to Station, then trains (steep step up to board train) on/off, dragging luggage, finding seats together (even if booked seats there could be Cukoos and nobody to in authority to remove them), securing luggage with line of sight, there is only one small section per carriage (no overhead for suitcases, no gangway storage, plus one’s seats could be many yards away (out of sight), then dragging luggage around at the destination station, is not considered fun. Also, when taking into consideration the total cab, train, transport costs, don’t think there would not be much difference between the overnight Airport Hotel then dedicated cab, and arriving in comfort.

Obviously, it appears that on one’s last whole space survey, those who usually hog tables in KC possibly retired to their staterooms to utilise a perfectly functional table.
-
CL is a lounge, having lounge seating with areas considered suitable for the playing of cards etc., plus a small area with tables/chairs for eating, then vacating. The direction of this discussion is why do card players, and other game players, take up (hog) ‘eating’ tables/chairs in the KC, when the CL (lounge area - not eating area) is available? Thought…. Adequate table in Stateroom?
-
No, the Lounge is very large, with the “eating area tables” being close to the serving displays.
-
How true… Noted many pax on QM use the side seating pods of KC to play cards etc., when the Carinthia Lounge is a short walk away, with numerous tables available, in a better setting. Strange….

Not forgetting the ability to replenish (increase) stock at every port of call. As an aside, at Martinique the rolling on a barrel of Rhum caused much amusement.

Take sharp knife. Cut off the ‘mushroom bulb”. Turn cork upside down and insert the thin end into top of bottle. Press hardish until just over half of the cork inserted. Good for a short term fix.

Consider 1. National Express Coach Heathrow to Southhampton, overnight hotel at Southampton, cab to pier. 2. Overnight Airport Hotel Heathrow, National Express Coach Heathrow to Southampton, cab to pier Extra… The Concierge at one’s Hotel will arrange (and price) the required transport, as this is a small part of the work undertaken by a Concierge

When often taken by DW, a separate large suitcase is utilised, then packing of the item is so easy……Simples👌 If flying, and taking suitcases over the seating grade luggage allowance, then just pay for any additional suitcases. One’s perceived problem is now resolved.

Was - Pre COVID Ferry from Pier 2 OSJ to Catano (every 30 minutes) - think was $1.00 US dollar per person return - Purchase tickets from the kiosk on Pier 2 - Grey Building - Journey maximum of 35 minutes - Taxi from Catano to Distillery about $20 including tip. Plenty of taxis from Distillery to Catano Book one’s timed Tour in Advance - Just purchase the basic tour and buy oneself a bottle of decent local (not Bacardi) Rum (will be cheaper and better than what is offered during the “tastings”).

Yes…. Send an Email to the HO in one’s Country. Give one’s booking reference, stateroom number, plus the name of the person (in full if have it) to be recognised, what was their status and location. Then detail the action/s. But, most importantly, ask for a confirmation that the individual has received one’s commendation, and this has been placed on their employment file.

Also, never seen, but then we bring own quality plain envelopes. Also do include the “half” of the “White Star” card, so they know one was completed and dropped off at GS.
