  1. Just tried both using Book Now and View Details on the UK site. No problem, went through the cabin list as usual so you coul see what spare cabins there are.
  2. Maine lobster not the only good lobster - try a North Sea lobster from Scarborough or Bridlington - really good. I think the issue is cold water or warmer water lobster. The same applies to prawns (shrimp). There’s no comparison in taste between a North Sea prawn and a king prawn from warmer waters. I much prefer the smaller, but much tastier North Sea prawns and North Sea lobster.
  3. One issue is that it can be really difficult to organise and be certain it will work. Our recent cruise ended in Dubai and BA moved our flight to be really early in the morning, which meant leaving the ship before the formal disembarkation time. We emailed beforehand and we’re told it should be OK, but to let customer relations know once we were onboard. We did so and were told it might or might not be possible - they would let us know a couple of days before the end of the cruise. In the end it was OK. We had to take our luggage off ourselves. What was really strange - we didn’t see any port officials - no immigration, no customs etc. Ship’s porters took our luggage from us at the top of the gangway & wheeled it straight through the terminal to the taxi rank with us following.
  4. Thanks for the information. Added it to the spreadsheet.
  5. Added your information to the spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pEoojQ5-EPmD4cI3gw1dVcYfYTXfZePdDXxU09l0H3M/edit Please let me know if you can fill in any gaps on your entry.
  6. You can get lots of information by looking at the topic ‘Tips for Azamara Newbies’ and it’s accompanying spreadsheet
  7. Just the same as inside and Oceanview, but with a balcony.
  8. On Azamara it is literally whilst you are onboard. OBC. S300 if you book during the first half of your cruise & $200 otherwise.
  9. Do you mean the discount and OBC you get for booking your next cruise onboard? If so you get that discount off the price of the cruise when you book it onboard and the OBC show up straight away. You can also get a discount on shore excursions for your next cruise if you book them while on an earlier cruise.
  10. I’m wondering if that’s just on Onward. Certainly didn’t notice it on Quest.
  11. Very true and it applies to all sorts of retail goods as well.
  12. If you get the OBC as a promotion and it’s specifically advertised as for excursions, then you can only spend it on that. If you buy one of the essentials packages that include specific amount of OBC for specific items (eg Spa, Excursions) then you can nay spend it on whatever’s set against. General OBC can be spent on anything I.e. if it’s not advertised as being for something specific.
  13. We got both on Quest in October.
  14. Here’s a link to the menu as advertised on Azamara’s UK website. Don’t know if it’s up to date. https://www.azamara.co.uk/sites/default/files/pdfs/vegan_menu_2019.pdf
  15. Yes the first two side facing cabins on 6 &7 are Oceanview cabins that take in the space used for a balcony in the next door veranda cabins. They are big. They feel very spacious. The window is a large round window. If we are having an ocean view, then these are our favourites. The only downside to the two on Deck 6 is that they are above the cabaret lounge and you do get a bit of noise if you go to bed early before the show has finished and at times during the day when they are rehearsing.
  16. Slight misquote here - I think many of us said we definitely don’t want piped music, especially around the pool. Live music is fine and there’s quite a lot of that on Azamara - piano in the Den, music in the living room, pool performances from time to time etc.
  17. The bookable times were the same on Quest in October/November when the ship was full.
  18. Added to the spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Deg-GaeZYLml8NN3PVwoh_jUkQ8QmYUe1wxnVAlODE/edit
  19. You might be lucky. When we sailed around Cape Horn it was flat as a pancake!
  20. Did you put lack of Schweppes down in your feedback form. I did so on Quest & got a call saying they would make sure Schweppes was available in every bar - and they did.
  21. I wonder if they have been told they have to check room numbers for drinks packages. On Quest in October/November they checkevevery time, even staff who knew us very well.
  22. Excellent description of Azamara - chimes with us perfectly.
  23. Ship - Quest Cabin Number - 7102 Month/Year sailed - October/November 2022 Would you choose this room again? - Yes Is noise an issue - No, very quiet. Balcony Size - standard balcony
  24. No they haven’t. If you meet another couple who plan to eat at the same time as you, you can ask to change your table from 2 to 4.
