  1. sorry all, I see that I repeated what I posted previously..post #30. At least my recollection was consistent
  2. Luck of the draw if you get a cabin with AC issues (we did) or a leaky toilet or shower ( down the hall from us..blowrr in hallway) or a mildew condition that will not quit in your shower and on shower curtain.(like we did) we had 2 cruises on Inf close in time., way pre Covid...On one we had no cabin issues at all , but on the other we had constant AC trouble. Repairs often made with parts taken from. other cabins not in use. old ship is one thing but system failures are another story!
  3. tried to EDIT to expand my post but it was too late..Here's the expanded version: We are seniors and enjoy the Inf balc ..too bad the cabin is so small. I think preference is not a function of age.. We like the Sunset Verandas on E best..even with the long walk to anywhere! On Royal, before the "move up" system changed, we found many Ds and D+ frequent cruisers on our roll calls were obsessed with getting move up phone calls..even on boarding day. Never felt that anyone on X was like that... even ZENITHS who deserve recognition as loyal customers. Recently some in Retreat Class seem to "advertise their status" Not many but enough for us to laugh about! More recent focus by X on Cabin status versus Loyalty tiers has changed things, but we do. not get hung up and enjoy the perks we have!

  5. much easier for some of us to read a paper menu..glad still the norm on X
  6. We down load it.. and print out the pass and any other important info..usually around 5 pages max.. Digital is great when it works! Once at TPA airport..a system outage caused those trying to board without a printed pass needing to return to the airline desk to get printed ones..delayed the flight!
  7. many times bar waiters do not bother with the upcharge.. works to their benefit in tips! classic package is fine for us..always a way to get my Baileys
  8. in reg AQ class the in room equip I recall were mats and maybe bands..took up alot of space. we pushed it under the couch
  9. thanks.. maybe someone can get a pic of the label ingreds
  10. very low to the ground..not very comfy good to pile pillows and stuff on!
  11. has always been that way.. they were never us! Remember MARCO POLO? or X the Rules?
  12. we'll try it but still will bring our Figi, plus mini Brita filter pitcher and our own trvl refillable btls... proper hydration is key!
  13. agree 100% AQ Class with Blu and Thermal suites are very successful and just fine as is.. Hope we are not dumped on! No reason why Sky suite guests can't fit into Luminae for dining or the cavernous Retreat Lounge where they can connect with their Retreat Service Team!
  14. how many stateroom are BCC on an avg cruise? just curious we were on line a few yrs ago with someone who was invited to a Texas Hold'em tournament. Aside from her upgraded balc stateroom..she said had alot of other perks...
  15. Please...no trickle down! BLU and AQ Class remain fine the way they are, and do not need any tinkering!
  16. That would be a very unfair practice! I believe we were switched out of a long standing pre paid dining time to a much later time in Fine Cut on EDGE to accomodate someone "more entitled". Of course, we canceled not so easily after putting up a fuss!
  17. what is inside? spring water? purefied tap water? salt content?
  18. As for the e world...not that hard if parents set the tone..just like rules at school! For meals (home or out) our grands know tablets are turned off once food is served.. Of course the grown ups must follow their own rules too. Sadly, where we live, some casual dining places have tvs on ( sports, news, cartoons) so that is a distraction not easy to escape. things will quiet down on ships once school starts..which it has in some areas..then it's the hurricanes Carib cruisers will worry about .
  19. looks claustrophobic ..with the surround style headboard but we will.never be there..so no worries!.. our house cost less than that and we got to keep it all these years!
  20. good workout for the brain. We have opposite "sleeping sides" in our year round home and winter place. Easy adjustment..but can be confusing at first!
  21. two prs of khakis or light wt jeans should work....and you can try the buffet if u want to wear shorts..
  22. have seen men in bathing suit attire with pool shoes asked to.leave the mdr at lunch hr as they wete just seated...folks actually applauded their departure..
  23. did they mention vaping as an added incentive ?
