  1. @HeyJut, a couple of ideas. Check the size of paper the print file is calling for. It may be legal size where you are printing on letter size (8.5x11). Sorry can't remember the exact measurements for legal. If this is the case re-size the paper on the printer pop up or app to letter size, if that is the size of paper you are using to print. Of course if you have legal at home just switch to that. This will probably show your print is going to overflow to 2 pages like you have happening now. to solve this you should be able to set your print pop up or app to 'shrink to fit'. That should condense your luggage tags to one page. Anything more complex and I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. @zentraveler, glad you are enjoying your cruise. As your ArriveCAN is digital and linked to your passport number (or alternate ID?) there doesn't need to be a visual check of it for Canadian gov purposes, though both the ship and the Can gov may choose to just to make sure you have it with you when boarding. Cheers, h.
  2. Just a slight detour, my apologies. I was sat reading a book when I came across 'she had lain in bed until noon'. Hnmm I think, who is this Iain? I can't remember any love interest (a British murder mystery). Then it dawned on me it was 'Lain' not 'Iain'.😊 Just goes to show even though he doesn't post, Iain is a memorable guy. Cheers, h.
  3. No one blinks at the term stag party, or calls it crude and sexist. Calling the women's version a doe party is a bit too dough sounding (though a nice bit of bread, with accessories, or a doughnut would go well with some bubbles). Conversely, it wouldn't go down well is some circles if a men's pre-wedding party was named after the male counterpart to a hen 😎 Haha, calling it a stagette makes me think it would be a diminutive of a stag party, and I wouldn't want that 😳 Cheers, h. 🥂
  4. Just a quick note. Not only will you not be allowed to board your ship in Canada (as the helpful folks above have said), you won't be allowed into Canada without having the ArriveCAN completed. Send the links provided (in earlier posts) to the younger adults who are travelling with you, they will have no problem filling them out, and you take care of yours. Personally, in these days of Covid (and maybe isolations), flight delays, and baggage loss, I would have everyone have their own ArriveCAN on their own devices, just in case things go awry. Cheers, h.
  5. It is 72 hr before embarkation. https://www.canada.ca/en/border-services-agency/services/arrivecan.html excerpt from above link:- You'll need to submit your information within 72 hours: before your arrival to Canada and/or before boarding a cruise ship destined for Canada Cheers, h.
  6. It is quite simple to fill out and once you have your basic info in it saves it so you will only need to update your entering Canada info if needed for a second entry. Try this link https://www.canada.ca/en/border-services-agency/services/arrivecan.html Cheers, h.
  7. Sorry, you weren't clear in what the 'uploaded everything else' is so asking just in case- Have you got your ArriveCAN app filled out? It should be completed before boarding. Cheers, h.
  8. Sorry, I realise we (I) have veered a bit off topic but here is a bit of info on wheelchair use for @terrierjohn and other users. The roll on/off tendering video is about half way down the page. I thought I'd include the whole page as it is all about wheelchair use on the Edge (and probably the whole of that class of ship). Cheers, h. Bloomin' 'ek almost forgot the link. https://spintheglobe.net/dir/2019/01/24/wheelchair-accessible-celebrity-edge/
  9. Probably docked in Victoria because the ship made good enough time down from Alaska to comply with the PVSA while still Docking in Seattle in time for regular disembarkation. The Esquimalt Graving Dock in Victoria is the largest dry dock on the west coast (hard bottomed), it is not a military dock. It has been used for cruise ship repair and refurbishment but I can't see the Sun booked in at present (not saying it will not be used if a dry dock is needed, just no booking visible). Hope all goes well for those disembarking and sorry to those who will miss their upcoming cruise(s). Cheers, h
  10. All in jest..... A nod to the ongoing problems of the Crown Princess. (Majestic shown) Cheers, h.
  11. We like the newer deck 3 oceanview cabins down around the 3142 area. The window is round and huge (at 5' I could have stood up in it arms spread ☺️) It should be noted that if you are a small group wanting 2 cabins 3142+3144 have an corridor door that separates them from the rest of the corridor and can be used as a single door to access both cabins. We also like that far (aft) end of deck 3 as you have very close access to the lesser used aft elevator- easy to get to MDR and Oceanview Cafe etc with little waiting or crowding. Great location for getting on and off the ship at ports of call too as no elevator needed most of the time (latter said in case of mobility issues where stairs are not an option). NB. We are folks that don't spend much time in our cabin. Sleeping, showering and changing clothes is about it. We have never been disturbed by noise in that location. Cheers, h. PS in that starboard run of cabins ending with 3144 there used to be a game played where previous cruisers would hide items for subsequent users to find. It is a few years sine we sailed on this class of ship so I don't know if this has continued.
  12. It is my favourite location - OV on the Passport Bar side a few doors down 62-54). No noise disturbance (the fire door is often closed in the evening to ensure this). Close to everything and I don't get lost. We alternate having drink while the other is showering dressing for dinner all the time. We have the bedroom, living room, and dining room all on one floor. We spend little time in our cabin so find this ideal. Cheers, h.
  13. Sarah, like everyone else, I have really enjoyed the review of your first cruise. You have a lovely writing style and weren't long winded or boring at all. You were my bed time happy read. I loved your photos and was going to say how much you and the mister look like the avatar that you use (lots of folk don't), only to find it gone today. I have a dream/hope that one day when I'm back visiting my sisters in the UK that I will have a chance to pop on a cruise from Southampton, you have had me scouring the P&O offerings. I fancy the Canaries as it sounds exotic to me. Cheers, heather 🥂
  14. @Denny01 you may find this link useful. The ArriveCAN app is supposed to be filled in before boarding ones cruise. https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/phac-aspc/documents/services/publications/diseases-conditions/entering-leaving-canada-cruise-ship-covid-19/travellers-entering-by-cruise-ship-en.pdf Cheers, h.
  15. If you read the link below you will see that the through rail journey has been cancelled. Given this information I doubt the excursion could happen. Cheers, h. https://yukon.ca/en/news/yukon-railway-route-cancelled-2022-season
  16. My sister is on the cruise. She reported 1050 passengers with an almost 1:1 passenger to crew ratio. Passenger capacity 2900-ish. No Covid reports to date. I'm not expecting any further updates but if I get any I will report back. Cheers, h.
  17. @Mom&MeCruiseAL I'm sorry you are in this position. Your travel companions, if they still want to do this cruise, will need to get working on their vaccinations as soon as possible. If they choose not to vaccinate, or it is too late for them to be fully vaccinated in time for the cruise, talk to Princes about moving the cruise to one they can do with the vaccine exemption they have granted them. Make sure you, and Princess, check on international requirements. Since you are past final payment I am not sure what you will et in the way of a refund if you have to cancel outright. Again, talk to Princess about your options. I see from your post #27 that some of your party have never travelled outside the USA. Do you all have passports? One cannot enter Canada by air without a passport. You need what Americans refer to a passport book to fly internationally, that includes Canada. (A USA passport card is not accepted.) Good luck in trying to sort this out. Cheers, h.
  18. You may find this helpful. https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/wizard-start It is a basic 3 page check list. page one, you are a foreign national. page two, you are unvaccinated (last option) page three, Your reason for travel is tourism (last option) Page four has the conclusion, you will not be allowed to enter Canada. Ask your friends to get vaccinated unless they can find an exmption on the Canada website. cheers, h
