  1. I figured out the night of the Morimoto pop up by looking at reservations for Tamarind. The night there are no reservations available in the Tamarind will be the night of the Morimoto pop up. My DH loves osso buco and was very happy when Canaletto started offering it every night!
  2. @BermudaBound2014Your videos are outstanding. Thank you! What are your recommendations for tours on my Hawaii cruise. TYIA
  3. @kochleffel Sorry if I stepped on your toes by posting the drink. I picked mine because of the combination of apples and Mt Fuji; also, I like ginger beer. However, I think I would be more likely to drink yours; I can imagine it being served in Tamarind. Wishing you a kosher and joyous Passover.
  4. @summer slope I hope you are aboard the Disney ship and are enjoying the time with your grandchildren. Also, hope you don’t mind me stepping in with the Drink of the Day. The Fujiyama cocktail is a refreshing and fruity drink that combines the flavors of apple, lime, and ginger beer. It's perfect for a hot summer day or as a unique twist on a classic cocktail. The drink is named after the famous Japanese mountain, Mount Fuji, which is known for its snow-capped peak and stunning natural beauty. With its vibrant green color and sweet-tart taste, the Fujiyama cocktail is sure to transport you to a world of exotic flavors and unforgettable. (From homebarmenu.com) 1 oz lime juice 4 oz ginger beer 1 oz simple syrup 2 oz green apple vodka DIRECTIONS In a shaker with ice add green apple vodka, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake well. Strain into a glass filled with ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with apple slices(optional). Cheers!
  5. Happy Earth Day! "The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it." – Robert Swan (first person to walk to both the North and South Poles) The focus of the 2024 Earth Day is to end plastics for the sake of human and planetary health, with a goal of 60% reduction in the production of all plastics by 2040. Positive thought to those facing challenges. Cheers to those celebrating and cruising.
  6. Agreed, I had the same “Staples” (a big box American office supply store) pen on my cruise in March.
  7. I do not think this cruise went to Antarctica however I will agree that my cruise on the Oosterdam which included Antarctica in February was my “best cruise ever”.
  8. @POA1 I have noticed that the menus currently being posted on the LIVE threads are in a different format.
  9. Try logging out and logging back in. Recently the MDR menus have disappeared but I am able to book shoe excursions,
  10. Oosterdam. I remember reading their previous posts.
  11. Happy Sunday! It is wonderful to see such a long celebration and shoutout list, the people getting ready to cruise or cruising. Cheers! 🥂🍾🎉🛳️⚓️ Thank you @JazzyV for the wonderful list you post every day. I saw this amazing photo on the Today Show this morning. April 17, shows the Northern Lights shine above Grindavik, Iceland, as a volcanic plume spews from an eruption. (Video: Marco Di Marco / AP)
  12. @Alberta QuilterI’m glad you have posted your question on your Roll Call. Perhaps a new topic with a title like “When Does HAL Release Pre- cruise Hotel Information” would help you find an answer. Enjoy your cruise!
  13. @Alberta Quilter There is a big difference between what is available to book for your 2025 cruise and what @Archipelagois able to book the 2026 cruise. This thread is becoming very confusing. Also, the port of embarkation is important. Perhaps your Roll call or a post on the South American ports thread would be more helpful
  14. @Alberta QuilterI’m sorry I can’t help you with when hotel packages became available, I never use them. Transfer from the airport to hotel and to the ship were easy and inexpensive in Buenos Aires. Our flight in Santiago was not until 11:55 pm so we booked an excellent all day private tour and transfer. Details are in my live thread. Do you have a TA or PCC? They should be able to help you with the hotel packages. I believe @NorbertsNiece and @TravelBluebird may have booked using hotel packages. Both did a live thread. Here’s mine I use Flightease to book international flights but regardless of where you book, I suggest you start looking for flights asap.
  15. @ArchipelagoGenerally, hotel reservations open about a year before the date. (This is also true for flights.) IMO you are early. I was on this cruise in February and did a Live thread; there are several other live threads from the previous cruises. You may want to check them out. I booked our hotels and transfers independently, saved a great deal of money and was extremely happy with the independent experience. This is a trip of a life time. Enjoy!
  16. @YourWorldWithBillI am unable to see most of the pictures you post too.
  17. @NickelpennyThere are many from the Daily on the November 2025 including @kazu @dfish @Sharon in AZ Join the Roll Call! I look forward to meeting you. Tina
  18. I agree. Dylan wrote the song in 1964. King wrote Shawshank Redemption in 1982. Remember, it was Dylan who won the Noble Prize for Literature in 2016.
  19. On most ships it is 3star or higher.
  20. The Super Bowl and Mardi Gras occurred during my cruise. There were large parties for both. Also, it stayed light quite late so there was often "scenic cruising" in the evening.
  21. You may have more luck posting on the Cruise Travel Insurance forum. Although this post specifically references Princess, I think the answers could also be applied to HAL.
  22. Happy Thursday! As a former bartender, a quick comment on the drink of the day. A Long Beach iced tea is different from a Long Island iced tea. Long Beach uses cranberry juice instead of coke. I recommend you only have one. Thank you @summer slope for researching our drink everyday. Thanks to all who make this a special place.
  23. The Nieuw Statendam is a great ship with a nice variety of dining venues. The Music Walk has three venues, I particularly like the BB Kings Blues Club. Your Roll Call may be able to assist with some insight into the itinerary.
  24. @Ready2go11 Thanks again for this wonderful thread. Why was the “Fun Fair” not held on a sea day? 🤔 It would have been more fun. Also, the Cellar Masters dinner would have been more relaxing on a sea day. (Morimoto pop up too.) I’ve haven’t seen any comments on special evening activities in the evening on sea days. Were there any?
