  1. We believe every one of our sailings from the QE2, Caronia and QM2 is a Memory. So, So many to note. Norway sailing, Voyage thru the Panama Canal and some of the Maiden Voyages into Ports of Call for the First Time. The several Captains, Commodores that honored our invitation to our Meet & Greets on Board. Attending a Wedding on Board of another Passenger by the Staff Captain in the Board Room.. Yes, many too many to mention.
  2. We too also have to understand the Old Lady is Old and we are Happy She Is Still Around.
  3. Really were never bothered by other passenger conversations in the past. Don't know if Starlink encourages more conversations in the open with a better connection. When my DW conducted business on board, I would remind her of others around and step away for her privacy also. Won't know till our sailing in 2025
  4. We are on Cunard and they do not expire. Based on your history of sailing with their voyages with the number of days accumulated on board. We even think that the top category being Diamond, which is our level, we are wondering if another level should be designated. It seems though the loyalty of it's passengers, it's getting awful crowded at that level. By attending the CWC Cocktail Parties on board attendance.
  5. The solemn occasion starts on ours at breakfast when we pick the time after lunch to start some packing the morning before. Attend tea. Continue to get at least one bag before dinner out. After the show we continue with some more bags. Out in hallway. One more outing to walk around and the feel of the ship lessering. Back to the room for the last bags before 1AM.. Again, the solemn hallway silence and vacant feeling. Getting up to see the entrance into the harbor and rustling in the hallway. Elevators busy to the restaurants. The same feeling for the "Last Breakfast" as was at the First Dinner Time except in reverse. Goodbyes turned from those Hello's..... Anticipating the Announcement after docking who goes first. Our Turn...... Elevators crowded, halt at Gangway, Proceed. Who's going to get into the Luggage Terminal part first.. The last time a Porter followed us kindly and helped which helped us. Past Customs down the long hallway of the Brooklyn Terminal and into the bright Sunshine and Chaos of the Sidewalk Ballet.. Every Car Service was ours, nope, next, nope, next, nope, next YES!!!!!. Pack up and head out of the terminal proper... Not Looking back...... "back to my non-QM2 life"......... Who's cooking tonight, what's for dinner, do we call take out ???? "back to my non-QM2 life"
  6. Bravo.........Same Feelings on each and every sailing. But we go with the flow and watch those others...
  7. With our personal cruise line website, we monitor any tours that are sold out to see if additional ones are added. We also wait till we are on board to see the tour sheet they forward to us to use to see if again any more tours are added on. The ship may see the demand for addition tours to be added and contact the island to arrange. We personally do not do personal tours as we feel protected touring with the ship. You are personally protected by the staff and are assured not to miss the ship. The ship waits for all tours by bus by the tour office till departure. Personal arranged tours will be responsible to be back to the ship on time. Expensives yes! But there are pluses working with the ship.
  8. Ditto GC, Was once treated under guarantee conditions and hair raising anticipation where we would be placed. Not bad but could have been better. But acceptable. But we prefer selecting our own cabin by number and location. Example....no over hang and direct sunlight. No too far Bow or Aft. Definitely not to watch the Wash in the rear of the ship. We like to see where the ship is going. We are particular passengers selecting the location we wish to occupy for the entire sailing, sometimes up to 14 days.
  9. On our last sailing, we had A Gala Evening - Unspecified and all those we knew Dressed Gala but selected their own theme. Surprisingly most on board were dressed in a Red Theme color on their own. Both Females and Men...
  10. Unfortunately we did not experience that on our last 2 sailings. They even offered to set up the table for us. Really never experienced at hit and run staff member.
  11. John, I don’t know if landing 7 days in a row at Ports of Call have anything to do with it. Average departures on each evening are at 6PM except for Barbados at 8PM. The two Gala's are taking place in the of middle of the two sets of three days at sea heading to the first Port of Call and then heading back to NYC. Hoping more will be added. The old days, we definitely did have more on the QE2. Of course, any updates will be forwarded to you for your chart. We also have 4 of the 7 ports shore excursions posted already. Of course expect more to be added.
  12. J John, I know that 2025 is a distance away but I saw that our M506C QM2 Celebrating Caribbean NYC-NYC 14 Day Site has posted Dress Code on our My Cunard Site. 13. I agree with you about their description of times of day in words not digits. On a upcoming sailing I always look at other sites to find the exact times of arrival and departure. Wish they did post the times since they definitely know them in the background.
  14. We really don't pick a particular side of the ship normally. We do select a cabin that is open to the sun and not near or have a overhang to block the sun.
  15. We given them 2 or 3 dollars for service. Maybe 5 if bringing items for two passengers in the same cabin. It is a separate service coming from a separate prep kitchen and delivered to the cabin. We appreciate their service especially when order is much appreciated in less time then expected. It's really up to the passenger thoughts of the type of service rendered. But know they appreciate it.
  16. We recently upgraded from Britannia Club to Princess Grill Hoping next time a Britannia Club to Princess Grill or some low level Queen Grill Suite would be a gift.
