It was a courtesy to prevent them from not getting sick from too much suntanning. If was very very appreciated by all with his care of them.

Saved - place something on it but can be taken Reserved - As mentioned in my posting, it was tagged with passengers name and the attendant knew and would question anyone attempting to take. He learned all that belonged to those lounge.

@WantedOnVoyage Very Very true and very well appreciated. My DW would the first morning on the QE2 on the Caribbean run would see Dennis and arrange the lounge she wanted for the trip. He would arrange it and place her name in the black name tag on the chair. It was all arranged. This was on the Sun Deck behind the Funnel. Each morning she would go to her lounge, he would her, offer her water and at 11AM even if she would like to have the old tradition "Bouillon"cup. He was very good at watching everyone and make them aware when they were sunning too too long. Not to burn. Thank you WantedOnVoyage....

@no1talks As mentioned on the Roll Call, I am looking forward to bring for White Jacket on the sailing. Yes, working on the scale numbers to be reduced also for the fine cuisine. A Black Tie, White Jacket and Black Pants like we did on Tropical Evening on the QE2... Hoping they will add that one. On Formal Gala Theme evenings when all dress on the QM2 it's really put a Special Feeling After 6. Walking the Hallways really adds to that I always say that "James Bond-ish" atmosphere. But all should all dress as they wish to feel comfort.

The only time breakfast club dining times can change if the ship comes into a Port of Call earlier than the normal posted time so to accommodate the Shore Excursion Department times. Ex. Ship comes in 7AM and Shore Excursion Meeting Times around 8:15AM. They may open the Dining Room earlier on. We will be experiencing that on a sailing in the coming year.

I believe the Shore Excursions are only for Passengers in transit and are not sold for Embarkation Day - New Passengers. You may find this information in the Shore Excursion section of My Cunard stating Intransit Only. The tickets are distributed on board on the prior day to the tour. I would refer you to the FAQ section of Shore Experiences on My Cunard Booking Site with Cunard's concern on booking such tours...

Illumination Theater on Deck 3 (entrance) used for Lectures, Masses, Demo., Planetarium.... In the evening, Full Length Movies are shown......posted in the Daily Program.

It's PG but all passengers get it on board the same evening. Believe it was started when Covid couldn't allow the Captain to meet each individual Passenger... We had it on two trips awaiting us.

Ichabod, Regular daytime dress is acceptable in the Queen Room at the Afternoon Tea. You may enjoy dressing in a Formal Tux if you wish or a Dark Suit with a regular tie or Bow Tie as you wish. Dressing Formal is to your liking. I am 230 days away and already thinking and mind-set preparing. We may not be on the same boat but in the same mind set....lol....Enjoy the excitement.

Unfortunately Britannia Club dining is not available on Embarkation Day. You will have to use one of the other Dining Options instead.....Sorry...
-
We've never questioned the size robes, just used what was in the closet in the cabin. Work with cabin steward... Your Booking Pass you will print out 21 days before boarding on the My Cunard Site will show you by your Cabin Number as BRITANNIA CLUB - PRIORITY. This after the initial check in - will direct you in the terminal to the Platinum/Diamond/Club Priority Line. Make sure you show the staff your Paperwork. Your Luggage will also have a Priority Luggage Tag.
-
Either Ship, ENJOY!
-
Just wander over here since MSC also comes into Brooklyn. G&T are my favorites......I Prefer Bombay Sapphire w Fevertree Tonic. I learned it on the QM2 and never changed.

Hello Ichabod, Welcome to Cunard! You mentioned you will be sailing in March 2025? Which sailing if you don't mind. We too are in March 2025, the Caribbean voyage. Also we are also on our Sailing in Britannia Club for this trip. We have sailed and are booked Brit Club many times and enjoy the one attraction of a reserved (same) table thru out the trip. There are two Dining Rooms, one on the Port and another on the Starboard side. Those in cabins on Deck 13 are seem to be assigned on the Starboard. We enjoy the Menu with added A La Cart Menu w extra choices and certain other entrees prepared table side. Also Flambe Table for desserts an extra treat. Breakfast & Lunch are at 8AM and 12 Noon. And you can dine for Dinner anytime btw 630 & 9PM with no rush.

Thank you @Mareblu We are seriously thinking of if needed to use Carinthia in the Morn. Next trip we will be landing 7 times, day after day after day on islands. Not sure if we will stay on board, walk the Ports or take Shore Excursions. But if we need to depart the ship early to meet a tour, I would consider it. Granted the portion are small but are filling. And there are also a variety of different breakfast items to choose from the what we viewed. Cold & Hot Drinks also available in that area. Not needing to walk to KC and carry the drinks back. You will miss the variety of other items in KC but convenience and quieter atmosphere are a plus.

Kathy, I understand and really never saw staff intervene in a situation except when they want to finally clean. I know in our local restaurant, if you stay a table too long the manager would offer you a after dinner drink at the bar cause others are wanting for a table. A shame some fair system can't be thought of to solve this problem. Next sailing, I am thinking if need to use the buffet to go to Carinthia Lounge instead. Different offerings in small portions but quieter and out of the way. One of our friends that was on when we both were on with you practically enjoyed each breakfast alternate there on a past TA.

Hi Kathy, WOW....so sorry that you had to experience that exchange while on a exciting and restful vacation when all on board should be courteous to each other. Even offer to be helpful in some way. We don't really have any problems on board the Mary 2 during a sailing except for the Kings Court Buffet and the seats on the Shore Excursion buses. I am sorry to even mention the elevators especially when crowds return from Ports and also after the Royal Court shows. I know we all are suppose to be understanding to each other. Having a full glass of Juice and Coffee with silverware not consumed should show someone maybe in close proximity. I would take it that way. Even the staff didn't remove it as of that time. In 230 days it will be our turn to sail and exchange the space with all on board and hope things work out. I thank you for your restrain but is there a real answer...

Sorry Napria, Fair is Fair. Belt holes and waist lines are on hold while on board. We are about 231 days and it's on my mind how to lose for the 14 days. Lost last time for cruise, but on 14 days, gained 6 on return. There are other food photos taken wouldn't darn.Yes, they do have variety on board the cheeses. The Cheese board was used when didn't want to have those OTHER desserts if you know what I mean! That was the alter go to. On a Caribbean to come, I want to get into my White Jacket. My method on board, enjoy by moderation thru out. Look at the sample copies of the menus on the boards to get an idea whats to come.

Taken on September 2022 after parking the car at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, Redhook from the parking lot before the Canada/New England 14 day sailing.

Especially on sailings, we place them into the check in luggages. We figure out how many we will wish to take in case of useage. We use the same company and combine several tests components in one box to eco the space. Works out fine. We dispose the tests parts in the hallway trash cans so the Cabin Steward does not have to worry if we possible are postive. We too take Hand Sanitizer in medium and small bottles when we travel. And small bleach wipe container. And a number of masks better than the ship version. Better to be safe...
