  1. Trying to encourage folks to post multi port questions here since it is more a general Caribbean board... https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/831-tales-from-the-caribbean-ask-a-question-share-some-info/
  2. There are a ton of threads on Cheers program that are more recent, some within last month. I have linked one
  3. Numerous threads on this. Believe this has run its course
  4. Please check out the above link. Gonna try and get multi port questions over to this existing but little used board!:
  5. Going to try and get this board moving along a bit. If you have a GENERAL question about "western Caribbean cruises", or "what ports do you recommend for the best snorkeling" etc. , this is hopefully going to be the place to ask and get an answer. The ports of call boards sometimes don't have a lot of info on a particular island and posting your questions involving several ports on just one board won't really get the information you are looking for either. Just going to try this and see. So if you ask a question like "We are going to Saint Thomas, Tortola and St Maarten. Best beaches for families?" you may see a link sending you here.
  6. Here is a link to the main Allstate thread:
  7. Lots of inquiries and posts on the San Juan port of call board re embarkatio
  8. This is really the key issue. Did family law for several years. Some have separation agreement, custody order requiring written permission just to take a minor out of state! If there is anything in writing regarding parental consent to travel.......not a situation where you do the deed and beg forgiveness later.
  9. Never much info re Jax on the Florida boards .....think it's because only one Carnival ship sails from there and port location. Hopefully someone here or on Florida board will have a suggestion
  10. If you are also considering Royal Caribbean perhaps a post on that board would help you decide.
  11. You will find a wealth of information about cruise and travel insurance on this board: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/499-cruisetravel-insurance/ One thing to look at is medivac amounts. You never think it will happen to you but if a medical emergency requires a flight home for treatment it can easily run over $50,000 depending on distance. The medical part of coverage does not include that
  12. Quick Coach is easiest option
  13. I let this go way way off topic from the original post re Guys Burger. Thanks for staying polite and remember the next time someone goes ballistic when something sort of "off topic" veers off for a few unkind posts or is just barely off topic and stays. .😉
  14. Traffic can be awful in St Thomas if several ships in port. If you have late arrival what time does ship leave? If you go on your own to St John will need to get cab to ferry but ship tours sometimes pick you up at the port by boat. You also don't have to be concerned with getting back on time. If you have short port time might be better to stay on St Thomas for beach? I've done ship tour to St John and it was nice not hassling with cabs. With relatively young children I would possibly find a closer beach on St Thomas but that's just me.
  15. Op's question has hopefully been answered adequately!
  16. You might want to ask this on NCL board!

  18. My son lives there part time ....asked him and said even on east end where he lives tourists feel safe. Take usual precautions re money, pocketbooks, wandering off to out of the way areas etc. Been there twice mostly on West end and find it much more "comfortable" than Jamaica for example
  19. You can check here: https://www.cruisecritic.com/cruiseto/cruiseitineraries.cfm?deals=all
  20. I hope not cause that is not the topIc.......if folks think they are dangerous use silicone ones ...Carnival has decided so......
