  1. I don’t think it’s Asian, it’s LE petite which only offers two fixed menus and projects animation onto the table
  2. It’s $55 + 18% but there are often pre-sailing discounts, always best to check your cruise planner. As stated above, I didn’t eat at any specialty restaurants.
  3. Disembarkation was a breeze, on par with FLL but far less people drove here unless FL so not too many self carried off which isn’t the case in FLL. Ship let out about 7am and was outside the terminal at 705am
  4. I didn’t notice, I skimmed the activities and didn’t see it but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Lots of group pop music dance lessons late mornings on the pool deck
  5. Pretty much the same fleet wide, whether you liked/hated it on other X ships, your feelings will be the same on the Solstice
  6. They typically offer pre-sail discounts there's also a package discount so it can vary, even by sailing. The non-discounted price is $55 + 18% gratuity
  7. It's one of things where it'll probably be hard to forecast so bring a jacket just in case; check the weather reports a day or two before your sailing. The more south you go the warmer it gets. Also, it can be warm when the sun is out but got cold at night.
  8. Will just provide a brief summary but the main purpose is to answer reasonable questions from the forum -Embarkment...Was a breeze, was at Berth 93 (or B93), no line at 1215pm, no covid photo/test check -Passengers...Was told there was about 1300 of 2850, everyone seemed friendly (which isn't always the case), from what was seen, well under a dozen kids and maybe 20 pax below 40 years old -Stateroom...Was in AQ, not a whole lot to say, décor was dated but didn't see any wear; always a thermal lounger available -Food...Ate at Blu most breakfasts and dinners, the food was the same as any other X sailing however I will say Blu's filet (offered on two nights) wasn't as good as previous sailings on other ships...Did the MDR one night, OV for breakfast on a couple days and did not go to any specialty restaurant -7pm/9pm Shows...Comedian on the first night (1015pm show on another night), illusionist on the 3rd night (he had an 8pm show on another night), enjoyed them both, every other night was in one form or another a musical which was on par with all other sailings -Crew...Simply outstanding, witnessed a few passengers acting rude to the crew and they handled themselves well 5 Tips: -Remember for any X sailing, you can carry on non-alcohol sealed beverages at the embarkation port or any port of call -Every port had Uber -It was chilly half the time, highly recommend bringing (or buying in port) a jacket or a hoodie -Learn where the entrance to Celebrity Central is, its somewhat hidden, was surprised how many pax wrongly assumed it was the the main theater since the sign is by the entrance...They had the Top Gun one (maybe two?) night(s) and many were disappointed it wasn't playing as they went to the theater -Locker rooms have flip flop you can borrow which I've never realized
  9. They're often pricey...Low supply and high demand, often they cost around the price of AQ
  10. Coincidentally I called to move from an IV to the porthole and the X rep asked why I wanted to downgrade and explained I wouldn't received a credit or refund for the fare difference. For us, it was Caribbean sailing in July, really enjoyed having a real balcony and a cold and non-humid room.
  11. Stayed in one on the Edge, my opinion is that they're better than the IV and not as good (due to the balcony being smaller and more enclosed) as a regular balcony on another ship. Ultimately it comes down to this for most, this type of cabin is best for those who like to spend a lot of time sitting out on their balcony.
  12. The terminal Wi-Fi may be slow if it’s congested
  13. Bring your own, sealed will get on without issue, you may also be able to get an open bottle on but it isn’t guaranteed
  14. Before booking the Solstice in April, find out what berth it’ll be at. I believe the first and last sailings are at a berth other than 93 and folks report non-B93 takes a lot longer due to needing to bus from one terminal to ship. Yet you should double check.
  15. It’s been described as disappointing by many, chiefly by due to the high odds of very strong winds. It was stated pre-Covid the food was buffet style. Never did it myself but was on the magic carpet and it can be incredibly windy, I wouldn’t want to pay to eat a meal there
  16. Was on the edge and don’t recall a specialty dining desk, possible we missed it, are you sure there is one?
  17. We are specifically talking about lobster so to be fair, they're smaller on a cruise than at the majority of land based restaurants. I would imagine RCI needs to be ready for a wave of pax sending a small tail back and requesting a larger one
  18. 100% agree and it should be noted there are those on pro-IV that prefer the SV just because it's AFT facing
  19. Totally agree, if you like to sit out on your balcony, go for the SV. If you don’t, get an IV
