Woobustr112G, it was so nice to meet you and Holli at LCR, I didn’t realize it was you, so happy we played it was very fun! Casino was great to some, several large jackpots won, not me, it was a Casino cruise. Casino players were all nice and we rooted for each other. Also noticed extremely rude elevator people, always took the stairs to deck 14 from every floor both up and down, happy I can still do stairs. DJ Alta is so good and played great music. We also noticed Luke warm food in buffet and dining room too. Games in Princess Live were fun. Cruise Director Armando and staff were awesome! So sorry to hear you got sick, hope you are feeling better. How was your flight home? The gelato was really good. I think a lot of people were ill and just did not report. We were awoken by the smell of cigarette smoke coming into our cabin several mornings and would smell it in evening and during days too, Steward smelled it in a cabin forward of the Suite Lounge too coming from a cabin, not sure if our neighbor or nearby stateroom was smoking, never heard, scary. We were just aft of the suites on 14. We had a lot of vibration in the bed and room on Royal, more so than when in aft suites on the older ships, never really noticed it on the older ships. We were midship in Dec on 14 and did not notice vibration.

Feel bad you both got sick Woobustr112G. First formal night in Concerto dining room I ordered the prawns, they were grey and slimy, so I did not eat and left. Weather was good in ports, not on sea days, but so much to do it was fun. Good shows were Encore and Magician/comedian Nathan Phan. Yes, lots of coughing and few masks. I saw someone in atrium ( can’t remember floor) cough on things and cough into hand and then touch all the elevator buttons, kept repeating until elevator came. Saw people cough into food in buffet. We felt like a lot of sick people onboard. We were and still are fine, we were masking most of time in public spaces and elevators and using hand sanitizer. Get well soon.

Thanks for responding, wine tasting is something to do if a cold day outside. Guess I missed it in Dec.

Agree with previous post, transfer works great and ship is supposed to wait, haven’t experienced a problem using. Easier than flying. Join your roll call.

What cabin type did you book? Have a balcony and no offers.

Are they offering wine tasting for Elites on the ship, we did not receive anything in Dec., but all other ships last year we did go. Thanks.

We also had drilling going on under or above our room as well, all hours nothing from Princess.

Sorry to hear this is still going on. We were mid aft on Dolphin and had water on carpet, stunk bad for 10 days, and cold room, heat was fixed first night, but still some cold nights and we did not leave balcony door open, first cruise in Sept. I sent photos and a letter and heard, received nothing. If they are still onboard have them take videos and or photos to send in. Love Sapphire and all Full Suites had problems too which never got resolved so would book a balcony next time. Hopefully they can try another ship and or newer ship.

I know they are two twin beds. Curious as the room is small and angled if the beds could be separated, again only have seen made up as a queen in this particular deck 8 cabin. thanks

Does anyone know if Panorama, deck 8, 8472 or 8467 (Corner Aft Havana) beds can be made into 2 separate beds or will there not be room to move around and access bathroom? Have watched videos and this room is way smaller and weird angle than the same room on other decks and bed always the queen. Any soot on balconies on deck 8? which is best biggest aft Havana balcony room. Are balcony rooms on deck 8 aft smaller/narrower than other aft balcony rooms (Havana). Thanks,

Book a Cruise Line shuttle from LAX airport to the pier. Good airport hotels, Westin, Hyatt, Crown Plaza, Marriott all offer free shuttle back and forth to LAX, get off at the Alaska airlines stop and you will be greeted by cruise personnel.

Recommend the cruise Line bus for under $100 each way, can purchase one ways. Buses usually leave between 9&10am firm. Easy and ships wait for buses.

The shuttle leaves between 9 and 10am from SeaTac to Canada Place. They are firm on time. SeaTac airport hotels are cheaper than Canada Place hotels. You can bring food and drink on the bus.

Personally I recommend flying, Pan Pacific hotel recommends a car service on their website or call concierge. Personally I would stay at a hotel around SeaTac (cheaper ) and for under a $100 one (each) way take the Cruise Line bus up that morning. Cruise Lines wait for the buses, expedite as best they can getting through customs. You take all of your luggage with you into customs then back on bus. Much easier than flying in.

The cruise lines offer bus transfers from SeaTac to Canada Place (ships), very reasonable and they will wait for the bus. The bus gets expedited through. You take everything with you (all your luggage) through customs, was easier than the airport. Cheaper to stay around SeaTac too.

Only m opinion; love Royal Princess, my favorite ship over all of the newer ships as previously stated. Princess to Alaska, I prefer Sapphire Princess or HAL smaller ships as they have an indoor pool and covered full promenade deck for walking and viewing. HAL is best they open up the bow for glacier Bay viewing and offer pea soup and hot chocolate, Neptune suites have chairs to sit down on if needed and blankets. Also the smaller ships get the closer docks to town. Princess brings sled puppies onboard and both lines do bring rangers onboard and lectures throughout the cruises.

Haven’t done Carnival in years, it wasn’t that bad, it was more the passengers onboard why we didn’t go back, too party and disrespectful. That being said, will never go back on Celebrity, was in a Spa Suite on Eclipse when it was brand new, , basic balcony room, tiny balcony, no where to eat most of the time, nothing to do, wasn’t just us, had friends in Grand Suite and other suites and rooms that were bored too and we all felt like we overpaid. Could NOTswitch dining venues, but we did pay for restaurants and they were good. Princess, tired of nickel and dimming, cutting back, end of cruise folio being emailed after you get home, don’t even start on their new drink packages. RCCL, too big of ships, exhausting and expensive. Holland ok, but food hardly available and scaled back, so need Neptune Suite and they have cut back, not worth it. I think Carnival may be our new line, plenty of places to eat and things to do.

Ali wonderland, I appreciated very much for all of your great photos and posts. I am going to try and re-live your cruise soon 🤭as it sounds and looks like it was wonderful. I took notes. I was not looking forward to our Panorama cruise, but I am now. Thank you!
