  1. This has not been offered since the restart due to needing to clean the ship.
  2. Yup. Just pointing this out to everyone who says its punishing cruisers. Nope, its punishing everyone going to Bermuda.
  3. Right now going to Bermuda requires a travel authorization, though the rules have changed yesterday. You aren't boarding without a negative test. If you test positive, don't waste your time going to the port.
  4. The fact that you paid for the cruise is irrelevant. Any refund/FCC is tied to the person.
  5. Sounds like an issue for the bus company HAL contracts with.
  6. There will be the normal port day breakfast options. No special brunch because its Sunday.
  7. Yes, there is a fee for late night room service.
  8. Please note that the Maitre D's are not expected to respond to guest emails, assuming it makes it through. Reports have been that outside emails to these addresses are being blocked. If you wish to contact the Maitre D, please contact John Heald on his Facebook page and he will pass the message.
  9. While for cruisers this feels redundant, again, this is a Bermuda policy for anyone arriving on the island by any means.
  10. If you have the government tests, as long as the boxes are still closed, you can pay for a video proctor and get official results.
  11. In Bar Harbor, there will be plenty of places, but why do you want strips? Bellies are so much better.
  12. Just note that the TA is required for anyone entering Bermuda by any means. It's not just limited to cruise passengers. Bermuda residents re-entering Bermuda via plane need to fill this out as well.
  13. Unfortunately, tote the pen and paper. If someone doesn't get it, point to the pin. Odds are they might not have seen it. The crew on the ship will probably not be able to lower their masks for you to lip read.
  14. I had mine submitted by 11am and received it around 8 or 9 that night.
  15. Of course they do. They are getting blamed for something out of their control.
  16. It had been like this since the restart.
  17. I believe a PCR at 4 days is acceptable.
  18. You will need to clear immigration in Charleston. Normally in situations like this, the agents come on board and you meet in a room. If you need to do customs, you will do that when you return to NJ.
  19. Resorts and AIs are on land with access to high speed connections. Cruise ships are reliant on satellite. While the technology is getting better, there's only so much that can be done. In addition, when in Alaska, there are mountains to deal with which block the signal.
  20. My understanding is that if you don't get off the ship in Norfolk then you won't be tested. With that said, I can't see why anyone would bother getting off in Norfolk.
  21. The stop in Victoria is to satisfy the PVSA. I've only seen longer stays on a handful of cruises. Otherwise its just a stop on the way into Seattle the last night.
  22. I would disagree with this statement. Neither of those behemoths should be in Alaska. With that said, IMHO Royal is also not the best cruise line for Alaska. I would expand to other cruise lines. One factor is Glacier Bay. Royal doesn't go there.
  23. These are not allowed on the ships.
