Bittersweet Pride Med cruise 10/01/
lennythenose replied to jimbo5544's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I know you were curious before your trip about the rules about bringing alcohol. What have you experienced? At embarkation or just port days? And one last question, just wine or other alcohol? Thank you for taking the time and effort to post your reviews. I have enjoyed following (usually just lurking😂) for several years. I always learn something new! -

We’ve got several decades of Bears represented. I grew up in Waco/Hewitt and also went to Baylor just a FEW years before either of y’all. BBA 88/MBA 89. -

Our kids were weird! Not kolache fans so never cared when we stopped (usually just wanted to stay asleep). When I was in driver’s Ed we actually drove to West for kolaches as our highway driving practice. And I lived on the south side of Waco. I always enjoy your reviews. Very different from my cruising style but I live reading about it. Enjoy…I know you will. -

You are traveling my roads today! I grew up in Waco and now live in Ovilla, just south of Dallas. I’m impressed you made it through West without a kolache stop. DH says our car exits there whether we want it to it not 🤣. -

It’s always that way for us! Hubby starts thinking of vacation things on the way. Things I took care of weeks ago. I’d say it must be nice, but I have to admit the planning is a big part of my fun. -
Anyone else concerned about the violence in Mexico?
lennythenose replied to john91498's topic in Mexican Riviera
I am not concerned about cruising to Mexico but I do understand why some people are. I will makes myself aware of current situation in any place I visit and make decisions based on information at the time. I have not been to PV but definitely want to go there. But there are plenty of other places to go if you are worried. Each of us makes the best choice for our own families and there is no shame in any of the choices. -
@arctickitty thank you for all your work on this awesome review! I was “with” you from the beginning and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have a question for you. We are on a cruise next summer with friends who will have daughters 12 and 15 yo. Very active family and they enjoy hiking which is NOT my thing so I’ve never researched it before. We will be in all the same ports except ISP. If you were to recommend one port and/or trail they should not miss what would it be?

If it was a rule before I was never aware of it and my kids are now 23 and 19. I’m a big time rule follower so I think I would have known about it.

What’s a tradition you do after you board?
lennythenose replied to Crismess669's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Here is the Funship recipe I found several year ago. Funship Cocktail 1/2 oz. amaretto 3/4 oz. 151 rum 3/4 oz. vodka 1/2 oz. apricot brandy 4 oz. fruit punch Fruit Punch 2 oz orange juice 1 oz pineapple juice 1 oz sweet and sour 1/4 oz grenadine .125 oz bitters My boys always got the Bubbles package mainly to order the fruit punch. It is really good (hubby and I like it too)! -

Thanks😀! That was my first (and only so far) attempt with the nail stickers. I found them on Amazon. Each nail was different. Really cute, but I wasn’t very good at applying them. -

Do muster then head to Lido. I grab the first Funship I see and hubby gets a chocolate ice cream cone. Take a picture and text it to the kids😂- 92 replies

My husband is having rotator cuff surgery next week after he tore it playing Pickleball. Now, to be fair, he was already having problems and this just finished it off. He actually switched hands and kept playing🤦♀️.

I’ve done one and have another booked. They are longer and are able to have different itineraries than the shorter cruises. Because they are longer they do tend to have an older than normal passenger mix but not “old”. There is a Throwback Sea Day that included activities and games from the past as well as a 3rd Elegant Night. Pre-pandemic they also had a midnight buffet with ice sculptures, etc but I don’t think they are back yet. Also have heard of lectures on some cruises.

Carnival Shareholder Benefit

I’ve always gotten emails either way. -
Another vote for Lamanai!

Advantage? Probably not, but personal preference, for me yes. I purchase a few cards every month as my trip “savings fund”. Whenever I find a cruise I want to book I have the cards ready to use. I have a safe place I keep all of my cards and when I do have e-cards the printouts are just more of a hassle for me personally. When I cruise I take a couple of cards for onboard spending. I print everything as backup for my trip so already have a big file of papers I keep track of and adding the e-gift paper is just not as convenient for me.

I just purchased 3 $100 gift cards earlier this week that were delivered today so it might just be temporary if they are not showing up now.
