  1. Same thing is happening in Greece. Limiting number of ships in ports. Locals are "so over" the tourists taking over towns and leaving trash and mess behind when they leave.
  2. We are seasoned cruisers but, new to Disney. We are looking to book a multi family cruise with Disney. I sent possible booking to our usual cruise TA. He offered OBC of approx. 7% of cruise fare . NCF is port fees and taxes. I then looked into Big Box travel offering. No OBC but, dollar amount sent upon completion of cruise. Ended up booking directly with DCL. Only two cabins left in category we wanted. Decided to book and get cabins locked in. I now have 30 days to transfer booking to TA, and receive additional perks.
  3. Juneau has great seafood. a few places to choose from, right in the port area, by the Roberts Tram area.
  4. With recent change in NCL management, I wonder what other changes they have in mind. It always feels like a quiet, middle of the night kind of change. Many do not realize the changes until they are onboard and what was offered at booking, no longer applies.
  5. Drinks and WiFi included. Mini bar drinks included. Access to Thermal Spa included. Meals in YC diningroom. YC Lounge open all day with complimentary drinks and assorted snacks.
  6. NCF - Non commissioned fare Normally only seen on TA cruise fare page.
  7. I just reviewed current promos listed on MSC USA site. I do not see MSC is currently offering. kids sail free . You can find Cruise Deals to click at top of site.
  8. It would be for Concierge booking, 2 cabins. Thank you for answers to questions. It seems that we can move deposit , if we need to, before final payment. After final payment, we will rely on our travel insurance if something happens that requires it.
  9. We are new to Disney cruise line. How do families book 1 year out with current Disney policy of Non Refundable Deposits.... and No shifting deposit to another sailing or name changes as these would result in complete cancellation . We want to book multi family cruise but, with small kids, so much can happen before final payment. Very surprised at this policy.
  10. We have sailed a lot but never on Disney. We are looking to book 2 cabins ( Concierge) for family cruise. I just heard back from travel agent regarding this booking. Very surprised that Disney policy is deposit is non refundable and any change to cruise date or passengers names will result in a cancellation. I knew about Non Refundable Deposit but, understood that if something came up before final payment, we could shift deposits to a different week. Has Disney Cruise Lines recently changed Terms and Conditions of US bookings??
  11. Actually, not Sapphire perks. We received the same items in cabin as organizer of our Meet and Greet. You are listed as VIP on this cruise as organizer of M&G. You will receive invites to things like private cocktail parties and receive enhanced afternoon amenities in cabin. Enjoy!
  12. your appointments for port days. The prices with the asterisk are only valid while in port. There is also a time limit, so be sure to check when those prices apply.
  13. MSC Pricing for Drink Packages after April 2023 Easy $46 pp/day. Easy Plus $61 pp/day ( included in drink/WiFi promo) Extra $85pp/day. Included in YC Minors. $19pp/day Non Alcohol. $28 pp/day
  14. Someone on this forum ,who has 7 day Caribbean booking , can get prices by checking their cruise details and checking drinks and internet packages with prices. Please post here if you can help. I do not have a current booking.
  15. Complimentary access to the Top Exclusive Solarium Relaxation amenities in each stateroom (including bathrobe and slippers) Pillow menu Access to thermal area (for adults only) 40% discount on a prepaid dedicated spa package 10% discount on all spa treatments purchased on board
  16. The two options with MSC current offers. - just cruise fare with taxes , double occupancy - drinks, WiFi and $50 OBC offer for balcony booking. Daily Service Charge is additional to either offer. This is per person per day ($14.50)
  17. Not sure this is correct. I think I read here that this happened to someone on forum and they were very upset they were basically charged double to sail. so, sounds like… $1,500 pp for cruise would be $3000 for cabin with 2 passengers. Passenger 1 cancels and gets no refund. Passenger 2 then has to pay additional $1,500 charge.( penalty) Any TA’s on this forum ( calling Cruiseguyinorl) , please clear this up,for us. THX
  18. It looks like the best option for second passenger unable to sail is to be a No Show, We may be in this exact situation ourselves with family members.
  19. My understanding is that if second passenger cancels, they are hit with penalty depending on when they cancel. Remaining passenger is then charged 100% surcharge to sail in cabin alone. here is what I found online…. Another common situation, someone in a cabin can’t go, but others still want to sail. MSC calls this a partial booking cancellation, and the remaining passenger occupying the cabin for single use will be assessed a 100% single surcharge. Alternatively, to add a new guest, a name change fee of $75 will apply. There is a limit of 1 name change per reservation.
  20. I would be cautious, you will be charged penalties if second passenger cancels before cruise. This is a pitfall with MSC. Others have reported that they were very unhappy that MSC policies did not match other cruise lines on this issue. Just be a no show.
  21. The single supplement offer is for cruises booked and /or sailed by May 31, 2023. MSC charges penalties for cancelling second passenger after final payment. Here is advice given by Bret ( TA) on this forum regarding cancelling vs no show for second person on booking. your plan if fine. Just be a no show. Otherwise trying to cancel will incur cancellation penalties and additional charges for your mother. Refund of taxes is not automatic, but if you contact them 2-3 weeks after the sailing date, they will refund. Though that could take another few weeks
  22. Just a quick reminder…..YC deposits are non refundable. If you cancel and try to rebook, you will lose original deposit. Then, charged new deposit for rebooking. Since MSC allows 1 change for YC booking, I would try to get $200 OBC added since You are before final payment.
  23. It is 2 devices per cabin. Cannot change which device you use . So, no changing from iPad to phone. If you are in YC, then 2 devices per person. Internet access for 1 device per guest, up to 2 devices per stateroom. Features: Browse the web; Send and receive emails and images; Chat on messenger apps (e.g. WhatsApp). No Video. Duration: entire cruise. Data limit: unlimited. Yacht Club staterooms do not receive an additional Beverage package and/or Wi-Fi package as they are already included in the Yacht Club experience.
