  1. i wonder why dont let people stay onboard as a floating hotel like. getting last minute flights back home and hotels will be expensive. is royal helping with that? if you have travel insurance, this is something they will cover?
  2. depending on the length of the cruise, stockholder OBC can be as low as $50 dollars: https://www.nclhltd.com/investors/shareholder-benefits
  3. depending on the airline and/or the type of fare you booked there is no fees to cancel your existing airfare booking and then re book it at the lower price. I do this all the time with delta and jetblue, i get the difference back as a credit for a future flight
  4. did you upload your brokerage statement to stockperks?
  5. 1) website glitch or 2)possible itinerary change/port time adjustment
  6. Almost all cruise lines dock right in town, usually near Front St. There is one and only one cruise line that docks a few miles down the road in their own area
  7. guest feedback means they want people to remain onboard the ship so they are gambling and drinking aka spending money on the ship instead of on land
  8. hopefully this is successfully and can be retrofit on the Venezia in a few years
  9. Juneau issue is with hot berthing where the Bliss leaves and then the Encore pulls in about 30-60 minutes later and there is also too many ships in port at the same time like around 5 ships. For most ports i think they should be a limit of only 2-3 ships
  10. In October, some of the breakaway sailings to bar harbor is also canceled. My cruise in the middle of October is canceled when i look at the bar harbor ship schedule
  11. earlier this year a carnival ship crashed into the ocho rios pier. From what i read before, the port is still making repairs, the pier may not be ready for ships for your sailing. Due to this, some ships is changing the port to Falmouth or somewhere else
  12. its nice to finally use up that space. when i was on the sister ship, venezia that food station inside the ocean plaza/gondola lounge was empty and not being used. the only time they used it was during bad weather that prevented la strada grill being outside
  13. weird when i was on the venezia 3/3-3/15 cruise i got a toiletry bag
  14. I wonder when they will modify the November sailings. I am on the Independence on the 4 day that only goes to Labadee. I am hoping it goes to Puerto Plata. Been to grand turk plenty times on carnival
  15. they are doing this because new cabins create extra money and increases onboard spending with more people onboard. overall it is going to make the ship feel very very crowded and it will be impossible to enjoy the views in the smaller lounge now
  16. if ncl know about the cancellations back in December, why did they wait until like now nearly 4ish months later to send out notifications about the port cancellations . thats strange
  17. Google voice calling does not work, only messaging works on all of the ships ive been on I think it is due to a technical limitation of the current system that the ships currently have. As more ships get upgraded to starlink, that should improve connectivity for wifi calling.
  18. 2 week gap is usually due to some kind of dry dock inspection
  19. there is no such thing as fixed dinning on NCL
  20. this is not new, cruise lines been doing this for years. Look at the watches they have onboard the ship and compare to online prices
  21. no, the credit is per stateroom
  22. that usually don't mean anything. when the hostess swipes your card they will see you have the dining package in the system and will ask you do you want to use the package or al la carte . you then say package if you want to use it
  23. it is better to cancel the soda and wifi packages first before to canceling the whole cruise. when you cancel the cruise, there is suppose to be a auto refund and auto cancellation on those package however sometimes those fail. that is why it better to cancel the package first
  24. yes that is correct. If a ship were to tender, it will say grassy bay on the schedule
