  1. I've signed for a few big items in the past, but that must be quite the experience (even though not actually his personal responsibility)! Tom
  2. It's happened more than once on NCL. We were in the Haven, so not sure if that played a role or not. Having said that, I've spied a couple irons/boards propped up next to doors in non-suite areas too. Tom
  3. Yep - the typical ship laundry service can do a number on your clothes. Tom
  4. On NCL, they're happy to hook you up: (sorry, blurry image) Tom
  5. Only the starboard side aft - and port side forward (presidential). Tom
  6. Actually, my question applies to the Celebration, but I assume that it will be the same as the Mardi Gras. Looking at booking all the spots at one grill, and just wondered how many that would be. THANKS
  7. Yep - as much as I'm a stats driven person, I think we just need to get along with things. (disclaimer, I own a few thousand shares of CCL stock, and am looking forward to smoother seas ahead.... one day!!) Tom
  8. Too low in my opinion. We were in deck 12 (Starboard side) and the noise and commotion in the hot tubs on deck 8 was a bit much. Granted, it's still better than the forward "excel" suites - not sure why anyone would sail in one of those - basically a useless balcony from what I can tell. We booked deck 15 (aft corner) next year on the Celebration - I think that will be perfect ! Tom
  9. I had a friend in middle school (70's) whose father had purchased some shares of Wrigley for him. I fondly recall him each year getting a box of Juicy Fruit gum. Probably helps to explain at least a couple of fillings too... (I decided to lookup their benefits and came across THIS) Tom
  10. I was just searching for this - and agree, "Unlimited" it is not... Regarding wings - how are the Captain Jacks wings? Tom
  11. Well, it was a few years ago - and they might have not had the same protocol then. Tom
  12. It wasn't Cheers (and they don't always give you stickers for that either). I've had stickers added to my card on Celebrity when I had booked a casino promo - to show for free drinks. Tom
  13. Sort of - out of sight, out of mind. I was on one cruise where I was paying for drinks in the casino. Around night 5 (of 7) the host came by and asked why I was buying my own drinks - as I had booked a promo with DOU.... yep... Tom
  14. I've wondered the same thing from time to time, with all the various offers/codes that come and go. Not sure which ones I booked via casino rates (thus some drink offers/etc). Tom
  15. Agreed! We've been in a deck 12 aft corner and a presidential suite. The real difference comes down to the balcony - if you want/need all that space, then the presidential would fit that bill (and you get an ourdoor "fireplace" and shower to boot). 🙂 We have an aft corner on deck 15 booked for next May on the Celebration, but I am keeping my eyes open for the presidential. We'd be perfectly happy in the aft corner, but for that sailing we're going to be exercising our 75th Milestone benefit, so a more expensive cabin means more OBC (75% of cruise fare)! Tom
  16. This reminds me of my muffuletta experience. I had never even heard of one until we were on the Carnival Mardi Gras and went to Emeril's Bistro. There was a surcharge for it (perhaps $5-6?), but over the two weeks I was on the ship, I wanted to try as many things as I could. I REALLY enjoyed it: After returning home, I found a local deli which supposedly had a great one (even implying it was a specialty of theirs). Well, it was very light on the meat and had almost a CUP of olives on the sandwich: Last ditch attempt at getting one which was as good (or better) than on Carnival - I ordered an "original" one through Goldbelly: It was just OK - nothing to write home about... Oddly, the ship still ranks as #1. No doubt, whenever I get a chance to try another (probably on the Celebration) it probably will be one of those situations where you can't step into the same river twice! Tom
  17. I've obviously been living a (Kummelweck) charmed life on Royal !! If I never try one onboard again - I'll be batting 1.000 ... can I rest on my laurels? Nope - not a chance! Tom
  18. It's always been "included" (free), fortunately! Tom
  19. Super - thanks. Continue the fun these next 4 days !! Tom
  20. Was their customer service (1-800) better pre-covid? Tom
  21. Tell me more - never been off the ship there. Tom
  22. BTW - we'll be on the Independence next month. Looking forward to our return (trying the UDP this go around). Tom
  23. I'm a mustard and horseradish fan (not just on these sandwiches). Tom
