  1. Travel Day! At ORD in the lovely Flagship Lounge. This is the most quiet I have ever seen this airport. Lounge is nearly empty. More for me!
  2. We considered adding the Rio-Lisbon leg, but by the time we made up our minds, it was sold out.
  3. Here’s the link to my “Live from” on Azamara Pursuit. There aren’t very many live froms on the Azamara board, so I hope I’m not breaking protocol. I always learn so much from my fellow cruisers and I like to give back, so unless I get shut down, I will post often once we board. Okay, so I couldn’t find the link I copied - need Jim’s excellent tech help again 🤣. Here’s the post. “My first Azamara “live from”, so excited to board Saturday!! DH and I fly tomorrow from Chicago to Buenos Aires to begin our adventure. Staying at the Alvear Palace hotel, tours booked, all packed - CARRY ON only, woo hoo! So happy to have self-laundry on board. We are planning to bring some Argentinian wines on board, but I hear the wine selection has improved on Pursuit. We will decide if the ultimate package is worthwhile once we get a look at the ever elusive wine list. I will keep you posted. So happy and grateful to be able to take this cruise! More later… Erin”

  5. Will do tomorrow. We fly to Buenos Aires Tuesday, board Pursuit Saturday, 2/25. We liked the smaller Regent Voyager very much. Looking forward to Azamara again and glad we qualified for the loyalty status reciprocation.
  6. Yippee! I will be over on the Azamara board doing a live from 2/25-3/7, but will check in here to keep up with your travels. Happy sailing! Erin
  7. In December the lunch menu included the Luminae burger with fries, Caesar salad with chicken, shrimp cocktail and a Turkey wrap of some kind. I wanted a different salad dressing and it was fetched for me. Very nice sliders passed by crew around 11:30. As Jim said, the app has useful info. Shady spots across from the bar with small tables.
  8. I think you will not notice any “back of the bus” attitude. For example, no one can book specialty restaurants until on board and you are able to book excursions as soon as they are available. You likely will miss any discounts such as for internet. There is self laundry on board unlike Celebrity. Sounds like a great cruise - Enjoy!
  9. I will happily board in 10 days and get back to you all with our experiences. Thanks!
  10. Seems like it would be more productive to ask us before boarding. Thanks for your reply!
  11. I called Azamara customer service this morning to try to pre-select the liquor set up for our suite. The representative told me there is a standard bar set up and if I wanted something different I would have to ask our Butler. Is this correct?
  12. Well, I hesitated to add a comment because we sailed in a suite on Silhouette last December. We noticed the overall product has slipped a few notches (OV quite a few notches!) and this was before January 1 when it is apparent more cutbacks and new fees began. We have been fortunate enough to have sailed on Celebrity for more than 15 years and this was the first time we did not book a future cruise. We have one more scheduled and I’m sure we will have a lovely time, but we are trying Oceania after that one.
  13. Our table for 6 wasn’t a round because there weren’t enough of them, so we were stuck in a corner with 3 of us facing a wall. Lower ceilings and noisy. Not ideal.
  14. We sailed on Navigator in 2006. One and done for us. As you have read, lots of people disagree with me 🤣. We found the vibrations too much for our comfort and we did not have an aft cabin. The dining room layout wasn’t ideal. For an older ship, give me Voyager!
  15. We gave an extra tip to our fabulous Butler on Voyager last June. @bitob, who was your Butler? We will next sail on Grandeur and would love to see our friend Gopaul again!
  16. We sailed on her twice, 1996 (Mediterranean) and 1998 (Panama Canal). Good sized cabins, beautiful dining room, excellent food and service. Small, intimate, very stable. There were water activities off the back. More yachting than cruising if that makes sense. Wonderful times, thanks for sparking those memories!
  17. Crew fund - do I take care of this at Guest Relations? Very nice idea, thanks for the suggestion.
  18. Please share your thoughts on tipping at the specialty restaurants. They are included with our suite. Thanks!
  19. What are the lunch options on Pursuit? Any changes for port days?
  20. I suggest reading the live from thread from @GenerationX. She is a great writer and has a good perspective on both ships.
  21. Well, that’s frustrating. I understand we cannot access our account from the television. So, does this also mean no menus on the T.V.? I read there is no app either.
  22. As my DD always says, it’s always “no” until you ask! If the ship isn’t full, you might get lucky.
  23. Thanks @mac_tlcfor the excellent review! Much appreciated!!
