  1. I sincerely hope so! It’s a great itinerary, 16 days, and visits Peru.
  2. This thread makes me sad. We have enjoyed our many Celebrity cruises in the past, but our next cruise in December will likely be the last for a long while. Giving up Luminae will be sad, but we are looking forward to trying the many options on Oceania, with Regent for an occasion splurge. Reasons include longer itineraries, and less nickel-and-diming. It’s a different crowd on the shorter cruises also.
  3. We did this sailing on Infinity in 2017. Bucket list indeed! We loved it!!
  4. Many thanks to all for this excellent discussion. I truly appreciate the insights from my fellow cruisers. We decided to try the Oceania Vista, sailing from Miami to LA, Jan 2025. Happy sailing to all!
  5. We just booked our first cruise with Oceania on the new ship, Vista. Not sailing until 1/2025, but I’m ready to try something new. We booked a Panama Canal cruise, LA-Miami, 16 nights. That said, we have not canceled our next Celebrity cruise, the repo on Eclipse in December. Sailing Azamara in February and two scheduled on Regent. So fortunate to have these opportunities!!
  6. With the latest news about Celebrity now beginning to charge $9.95 + 18% gratuity for room service, I think I’m ready to try something new. Many thanks to all for this excellent discussion and to @terrydtxfor the promotion alert!
  7. Let me try to understand. Our Butler will deliver coffee, toast and fruit at breakfast for no additional charge but if I add a soft boiled egg, it will cost $9.95 + 18%. Hmmm. The tray is coming to the room already. Where is the justification for the extra charge? I guess looking seriously at Oceania is a pretty good idea.
  8. The Retreat Sundeck on Silhouette has a bar.
  9. Thanks to all for the helpful replies. I will “do the math” for the O Life options. We are booked on Eclipse for the repo 12/7/23 and while the ship probably needs some updates, the itinerary looks good to us and we have never been to Peru. So we are looking at Vista for PC Jan, 2025. Happy New Year to all!
  10. We very much enjoy our cruises on Celebrity and are fortunate enough to sail in suites. Luminae has been a game changer and I hate to think about missing it, however, the new Oceania ship, Vista, has a great Panama Canal itinerary. If you’ve sailed on both lines, please share your advice. Many thanks!
  11. It’s very nice, but I don’t want to eat that much at lunch unless we are skipping dinner!
  12. DH and I really enjoyed the Swedish massage with hot stones, 75 minutes. I would not have wanted to be finished after 50 minutes. Good luck avoiding the sales pitch. The Elemis products are very good, but you can get most of them on Amazon.
  13. Where can I find the link to the spread ship? TIA
  14. Thanks all. I guess we can hope for some new carpet and furnishings.
  15. We didn’t have to wait. We were checked in and escorted to the ship in a matter of minutes.
  16. No limit to the specialty dining. But reservations must be made on board. I’m not sure if your butler can do it for you.
  17. Thanks @jelayneand @Jim_Iain. We will have to decide soon between Eclipse Los Angeles - Lima or Connie Western Caribbean and Central America. So fortunate to have these great choices!
  18. Our first Celebrity cruise was on Equinox. Good to know she’s holding her own!
  19. Does anyone have a new dry dock schedule? We’re sailing on Eclipse a year from now and I’d like to know if she will have any refurbishment before then. Thanks!
  20. We just did this on Silhouette. We wrote notes to each person and noted the amount. I hope it all works out.
