I plan to bring my certificate of recovery with me in case I am a close contact and test positive without any symptoms. It may save me from unnecessary isolation,
I understand you couldn’t get off and then re-board, but I wonder why you couldn’t simply disembark and do your quarantine on land in Barcelona. I hope your trip insurance will help out and that you clear quarantine asap!
Very disappointing that your husband was free to move about without any testing for 3 days! Who knows how many he might have unknowingly infected? Very poor medical management by Celebrity. And as you said, they should have had this all sorted by now.
It seems to me the CC hosts should have names and photos of Elite and above cruisers. Not okay to make passengers feel uncomfortable! I hope you include this critique in your post cruise survey.
I’m not a fan of drinking out of metal cans, but the Vero water tastes good and I didn’t have any problems with swollen ankles. If you have room to pack your own insulated container, I would suggest bringing it along.
I think it would be very hard to go from Blu to MDR. If I have to do it, I will start with MDR and switch to Blu for cruise 2. But you are coping admirably!
That was not our experience on Silhouette in January, but as the OP said, the ship’s occupancy was less than 50%. We’re sailing in December, I will report back.
IMO, laundry service is a big miss with Celebrity. DH and I have had ruined t-shirts and boiled underwear. I wish, I wish, I wish, they offered self-laundry rooms!
I think the new spa company is actually the pre-Canyon Ranch operator, Steiner. My only problem with them is the incessant pushing of products. I like the Elemis products, but don’t enjoy the hard selling while I’m trying to relax!
