  1. There are a couple of things on the application form (not required to use the form when providing all of the necessary info) that Ken provided that Princess does not enforce. * It’s a simple credit to your onboard account from which all debits are deducted including gratuities & have read casino credits. * Since requiring prepaying for tours began several years Princess has allowed applying for SOBC when booking a cruise. I’ve had it issued more than 2 years in advance. However, I’ve read for those in the UK and possibly Australia they enforce the 3 month limit to apply.
  2. You’re correct…My FCDs bought on 4/7/22 were valid for cruises booked before the FCD’s Booked By date (4/5/24) for two Spring 2025 cruises. Future Cruise Deposit 04/07/22 Book By 04/05/24
  3. It’d be worth it to us. 😋 You could have a filet mignon entree and can request a different appetizer instead of the crab cake. We rarely modify the standard menu but once they had one of our favorites on the MDR menu…twice baked goat cheese soufflé…and we substituted it for the crab cake.
  4. Not surprising to me that prices are higher for this popular onetime itinerary…supply & demand. While I generally like seadays, having 8 out of 16 days isn’t desirable for me.
  5. Eats That Are Included You have so many options (that don’t cost extra!) https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/food-and-dining/whats-included/
  6. Happy to read about your good experience after reading several posts about beds on Crown being soft cratered mattresses. In Spring 2025 we sail Crown for 28 days & wouldn’t want a worn out mattress. Before their luxury mattresses were created had several sagging mattresses…once they put food trays between the mattress & support frame.
  7. They’re back to showing the Plus price again instead of Standard.
  8. How long ago? That was my experience when the change was made a year or two ago but now it shows the 50% discounted price for my elite level. I’ve read about passengers whose app does not show the correct Captain’s Circle level being charged full price & receiving credit onboard the ship.
  9. I have 2 cruises booked in Spring 2025 & both show the WiFi price although won’t purchase it until closer to sailing or onboard if I have enough OBC to pay for it.
  10. With the 50% discount for elite, platinum & suite (?) passengers: $20/day - 4 devices $7.50/day - 1 device In the Medallion app, you should be able to see your cost under the MedallionNet option…one device $52.50 (7 days); $105 (14 days).
  11. Here’s the view looking up towards the midship cabins with larger balconies from the open Promenade deck…it’s never been a problem for us. Open Promenade deck where it’s possible to look up towards balcony cabins (below E436).
  12. Yay…enjoy the remainder of your cruise & know that you’ll Shaka 🤙
  13. Renee…sorry that you got Covid…maybe you’ll need some Island time to fully recover. 🏝️🌴😎
  14. The EZair webpage shows you’re correct if booked with Flexible airfare: Flexibility to Change Flights – Cancel flexible airfare up to 45 days prior to departure with no fees. Plus, book flights now with no amount due until cruise final payment. https://www.princess.com/learn/faq_answer/pre_cruise/travel_transportation_faq/popup/PC_PC_ezair.html For our Spring 2025 circumnavigation of Australia, instead of flying round-trip from LAX, will fly to Brisbane & then to Auckland at the end of our Australia cruise to sail Royal Princess 22 days back to LA…even better than flying premium. ☺️
  15. Look at the deck plans for the Emerald deck midship balcony cabins to find ones with larger balconies all with no obstructions looking out & only when looking down onto Promenade deck. This is E409 on Discovery Princess:
  16. Thanks for sharing all of the information & menus to have a clearer idea about these changes. They don’t state how orders placed from the cabin TV will be managed…do you think it will it be the same as from the app & incur the $14.99/pp/cruise fee.
  17. Wasn’t it possible to previously order it on the app? Guess it’d cost me $14.99 per cruise to do it on the app or TV? Where is the cost savings for Princess by requiring using a card instead of simply on the app? Another example of a not well thought out change by Princess.
  18. The first 2 passengers in a cabin will need to purchase the package which was stated during Thursday’s webinar.
  19. That was posted on this thread earlier today & based on these statements would agree with your analysis.
  20. While this explains ordering on app, it likely will be the same on the TV when paying the $14.99 OceanNow delivery fee good for the entire cruise.
  21. This was posted earlier with a 7/24/23 date…it shows $14.99 for a 3 course meal. EDIT: azbirdmom was faster than me. ☺️ It shows $5 à la carte appetizers, $3 à la carte desserts and $12 à la carte pizzas. Gigis Pizzeria by Alfredo_EX-XP_2023-7-24(1).pdf
  22. Yes…$5 per order and also $14.99 to use the app to order drinks & food and $14.99 for a 3 course Alfredo’s Pizzeria meal or à la cart pricing…all of these are for Standard fares.
  23. Watching a YouTube travel video she said they had a Winemakers Luncheon for $70/pp. on Island Princess which was promoted as being like the Chef’s Table.
