It’s on any ship which you receive an ultra offer. The cocktail party was first day at 4:30. I booked this ultra offer for what I feel was standard pricing for a balcony at 900+ pp. No OBC, no free play included. Only DOU in casino for me and DH. I definitely get better offers but wanted to see what an Ultra offer was all about. As someone else stated on another thread is that I’d have been better off going on my free cruise offers and spending $1800 in the casino. Probably true.

This is my first time. I don’t know what letter you’re asking about but the prizes are a roomba (which I’d love) or nesting camera (which I’ve never heard of and don’t want). I pick up my prize later today. So far, we received 2 ultra card lanyards. It looks like most of the drawings are held really late at night past my bedtime. I will try to stay awake.

I don’t remember. I spoke with one of the ladies who was an organizer. She said she’s already spoken with the bar manager and more servers were coming. They showed up when it was over.

Hmm. Ultra cocktail party was a fail. Two waiters to serve drinks for the entire room which had well over 200. All I wanted was a glass of wine but they walked around with screwdrivers and margaritas. I took it out of desperation and never saw another waiter. Snacks were okay.

Just returned on the Elation out of Jacksonville. Tons of college kids. I’ve never seen so many. Well behaved pretty much. No weed, no boom boxes. However, isn’t there a rule about wearing cover ups inside where the buffet is located? Gawd! Too many thongs. Too many bare bottoms waltzing past my plate while I’m eating. Gross. The strangest thing was … those wearing thongs just parked their fanny right down on the seat. without a towel. 😳

Getting ready to go on MG with Ultra offer. Can someone give me some advice? DH won’t go in the casino. As my companion, is there a chance he could win prizes if he shows up during the drawings? Or is that only for me?That may be the only way to get him in there, as even the free drinks won’t lure him. Does my companion get anything if it was MY ultra offer? TIA. 😎

During lunch they used to have Mongolian Wok where you choose vegetables and protein and they’d cook it for you. This has recently gone by the wayside now, probably due to cost cutting. And unfortunately they have either stir fried bowls or broth bowls at lunchtime. I’ve not tried the stir fry but the broth bowls were inedible IMO.

I’m asking because next week we have any time dining. I really want to change to early seating but I’m guessing we’re not going to be able to. we want to change because we have been having issues with any time dining. I tried changing on my cruise a month ago and they wouldn’t let me. Maybe because I was by myself that time.

What does this mean? Priority reservations at Main Dining Room and Specialty Restaurant

We’re on Elation and my friend had a Gatorade and flavored water sitting on the nightstand. “Oh. Did that come with your bubbles package?” Response: No, I had it in my carry-on. 😳

She looks pretty good. I don’t see much rust. We’re at full capacity as it’s spring break now. The pool area was ridiculously crowded yesterday. Lots of college age guests. How they afford cruises while in college is beyond me. Well behaved so far. Our food in the MDR last night was great, and I’m very picky, Cleanliness of the cabin was good I’m happy to say.

Thanks for your review. My friend and I are sailing tomorrow. The last time I sailed on elation, 5 years ago, I said that I would never do it again. Yet here I am. This is a free casino cruise for me otherwise I don’t think I would have gone. I heard that it has been refurbished a few months ago. I’m hoping for the best.

This happened to me too! I was very angry because I worked 2 jobs for months to be able to earn enough extra money to go. All gone. 30 years later, this still burns my tail!!!

We are! In Nov we’re on Wonder. I can only afford to go once though.

Wow. Thanks for taking time to post. I haven’t taken the strawberries for years. I just recently switched to the cookies. What are your thoughts about the cleanliness of your cabin?

The second “turndown” as you say is not just that. They’d clean the bathroom, wipe down shelves in the cabin, remove fingerprints off the drawer fronts and I’m sure a lot of other things. As I stated on another thread, we were on the MG only 6 months after the restart and I could tell there was no deep cleaning. The ship wasn’t even sailing for that long. If the cabins were cleaned 2 x / day, then there would be less need for deep cleaning. The next time this happens, I will post photos instead of looking the other way. In the meantime, this is what I’m talking about. They don’t spend enough time in the cabins to actually focus on deep cleaning.

LOL. Yeah. I know. I was desperate. My DH was delighted, especially since he’s not a fan of gambling or cruising. Again, the sole reason was to eventually score an elite cruise. 🤞

Yes. I’m sure. Yes. You all can go in the lounge. No. You’re not priority. Priority is for suites. And Weddings. Unless you and wife booked a suite? Only your boarding pass will say platinum. So put yours on top when showing them to people. You can print off your luggage tag 4 times so they say “platinum” with your name on each luggage. I would print 2 tags for each piece myself because I am OCD.

I’m going on an Ultra on MG in a few weeks. No gambling money or OBC and the cabin was $900 pp for a balcony. I booked this just because I have never received an Ultra offer. I hope I don’t regret this. 🫣. My hope was to receive an Elite offer sometime.

If you’re turning plat on this cruise, your entire family boards with you, regardless of whether they’re in a separate room. I was Plat way before my family. Carnival told me “we are not in the business of splitting up families” so have them with you. Enjoy and don’t forget to get your $25 from the casino.😁

Just because your kids are minors doesn’t mean they can’t have their own room. They do have to be within a certain number of doors of yours though. We’ve always put our boys in a separate room.

That’s speaking on behalf of a lot of people. Not sure this is true. The cabins are definitely not as clean now.
