  1. Hi We are on this cruise, and we've booked our flights with Royal, we are scheduled to fly at 11.10 from Barcelona back to UK. We were also on the Wonder TA back in April, which ended up in Barcelona, and we had the same flights to return home. We were tag #1 to get off the ship (I think we actually disembarked around 6.45am), and with Royal Transfer from ship to airport we had loads of time to catch our flight.
  2. I have tried to do a pricing on the US website and it won't let me get to the payment site, because the system seems to know I'm in the UK, and on the US website. I have raised the issue with RCCL in Miami, and they are looking into the issue.
  3. It would still be nice to have the option in the UK to be able to book, the same as our friends in the US, before the prices rise. This happened the other week with Oasis Spring TA, and when it did go on sale in UK, it was a lot dearer than it was initially advertised, (I'm sure someone on here priced both and it was £900 dearer on UK site)
  4. So they've had time to set it up on the UK website for bookings to be made. I know of many in the UK who are waiting for the fall TA's to become available.
  5. When did this become available to book? It's not showing on the UK website.........again!!
  6. @mitsugirlyThe Hampton Inn in Brickell is now expensive to book, I secured a reservation back in July for 2 nights at beginning of March and the price I was given then was $567, it's now approx $850 for the same dates for 2 nights. @JohninDCthanks for the information, re Hampton Inn shuttle and approx prices for taxis.
  7. Hi, I hope I can jump in on this question. We are due to sail from Miami early March, which I am finding out is spring break week for a number of US schools. We are flying in 2 days before our cruise, and looking for a reasonable priced hotel before we get on the ship. I know pre Covid that that Hampton Inn & Suites in Brickell used to be a recommended hotel for cruisers, but I'm unsure what facilities are close to this hotel for the full day we will spend before we get on the ship. I have also seen a Holiday Inn Express in Doral near the International Mall (closer to the Airport, our flight arrives around 17.30), but again I'm not sure of the area. Which would be the safest area to stay, and I've noticed that both hotels I've mentioned don't have shuttles from Airport or to the Cruise port, so we'd need to find a taxi, or shared shuttle (any recommendations & costs). I have mobility issues and will be travelling with my mobility scooter, which can fit into the trunk of a normal saloon car, so most taxi/mini vans etc will be able to accommodate this. Any help, on this would be appreciated.
  8. Royal keeps saying they are trying to stop using so much paper (one of the reasons for not issuing the Cruise Planner in staterooms nightly), but they decided to revert to signing for Crown & Anchor free drinks, surely, they must have a better solution!!
  9. The Transatlantic for Oasis in April 2019, ended up being cancelled, because of the crane incident in the Bahamas dry dock, approx 3 weeks before it was due to sail for the TA. We had it booked for my 'special birthday' and had to scramble to find another sailing 3 weeks before we were due to sail. We were all issued with FCC's, and we've only just used ours on our Wonder TA in October/November this year!!!!!
  10. The stowaway piano player could be found in Central Park most evenings before 7pm on Wonder OTS for the TA in October. We also found him in one of the elevators after dinner when it was a bit quieter.
  11. Is anyone seeing Anthem TA for Spring 2024 showing up on Royal's web site yet? When I do a search for TA's, I'm only getting 3 ships (Odyssey, Voyager & Explorer), should there be others? TIA
  12. We received this email on 3 November, about the new system they were bringing into play on 4 November. We were on a sailing at the time, but the new system was not implemented for the rest of our sailing. Dear Diamond, Diamond Plus & Pinnacle Club Members, As part of our ongoing efforts in reviewing guest feedback, we’re working towards providing you the best onboard experience and avoiding visits to the Guest Services desk. What we noticed was that many visits are related to beverage vouchers provided to our higher tiered Crown & Anchor Society members. Effective on sailings starting this Friday, November 4th, we’ll have all members sign their check when using any beverage vouchers. The benefit of doing this is two-fold: The receipt has a count of your vouchers to help you better track how many you have left. So if you’re a Diamond member, and you have 4 a day – it may tell you 2 of 4 have been redeemed. We noticed many beverage voucher disputes are related to use on a drink you did not want to use it on. For instance, you ordered a $3 coffee and we may have applied your voucher – and you don’t learn about it until you’re at dinner, wanting that nice $13 cocktail and you’re out of vouchers. While it’s a little more work for our teams, by having you have your hard check – you can better control both your count and the proper application! We know how much this benefit means to you and we want you to fully enjoy it. I know I’d prefer you enjoy your vacation, instead of spending time inquiring about drink discrepancies with our teams. We appreciate your loyalty and openness to helping us make your cruising experience the best there is!
  13. We haven't been on this class of ship before, but we're booked to sail on Odyssey TA in October 2023, so you're review will be helpful for then. Enjoying your review as always, whilst getting ready to sail back on Wonder TA to Orlando.
  14. @lauriealI'd love to hear your views on We will Rock you. We saw it in one of our local theatres just before Covid, and loved it. Would love to see it again, might be a reason to book Anthem. lol Good review so far, as usual. The ship looks quite quiet.
  15. Have a great trip @laurieal, sorry to hear your Mum and step dad are not joining you, and hope he is feeling better soon. We're back on Wonder at the end of October for the return crossing back to Florida. Looking forward to your review of Anthem.
  16. We have received the same email, and I had a look at the website to get clarification of 48 hours, and this information has disappeared, but I did find that the website shows 2 days rather than 48 hours: For Transatlantic Cruises All guests age 5 and older must bring a negative test result for a COVID-19 test taken within 2 days before boarding day. The test you take must be supervised by a health professional, such as a doctor, pharmacy technician, public health worker, or telehealth professional. Telehealth testing at home is accepted for vaccinated guests, and must be conducted under live video supervision. Tests must be arranged on your own and are at your own expense. Guests age 4 and younger do not have any testing requirements.
  17. We were on Grandeur in February/March of this year, and I had issues with the app on my phone whilst onboard, and we ended up speaking with the IT Manager onboard, and during our conversation (we were with her for quite a while trying to fix the issue I had), she informed us that the app is designed to be used on smart phones and it's not designed for tablets & ipads etc, She didn't really know the reason why, or didn't divulge anything if she did. I have an IPad air, and a Samsung smart phone, and I have the same issue as the OP on my IPad.
  18. Everyone on a Transatlantic from Europe requires to have a proctored negative covid test, along with the appropriate vaccinations and booster etc. Please check the Healthy Sail Centre details for the port that your sailing from on Royal's website.
  19. We were on Wonder for the TA in April and they had a Beatles tribute band onboard (I think they are still onboard now). They played in the Music Hall a few times during the crossing, and they also had a show in the theatre too. We are getting ready to do the TA to the US again on Wonder, and hope they will either be onboard for this crossing, or there will be some other band equally as good.
  20. I have just done a search on RCCL Uk web site and there are ocean view balcony cabins available on deck 8.9.10 & 11 mid ship, and deck 8 at the front of the ship, and 8, 10, 11, & 12 at the rear of the ship. Central Park balcony cabins are only available on deck 10, and there are loads to choose from. Central Park are usually cheaper than Ocean View cabins, but wherever you're looking for pricing it seems to be your Central Park cabins are dearer than the Ocean view on Deck 8. Normally a Travel Agent, or if you're booking directly with RCCL, can give guidance on what the obstruction is on obstructed cabins, it could be the top of a lifeboat, or the 'cage' they use for washing the windows.
  21. The sailings I have had it added to works out slightly more than the £43 pppd, but it's like £2 per person on a 12 night, and £3 per person on a 15 night sailings, I'm still happy with these prices, especially since they will not be used until 2023. We have a sailing on Wonder at the end of October for 14 nights doing the Transatlantic (again), and it was originally booked back in January of 2019 to sail on Harmony or Allure, (I can't remember now, it's been changed so often), but it was the last time they offered a free drinks package on bookings from the UK, so we already have the drinks package added to our next sailing.
  22. We got our Wonder block yesterday, as @Blue Eyed Belfast Belle, has posted. I saw the UPS van drive into our street. I thought my DH had ordered something and not said anything, (I was actually talking to him on the phone at the time, and he kept telling me he hadn't ordered anything online!!). Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and saw it was our Wonder block, ordered back in April. We are just getting ready to go back onto Wonder for the TA back to Orlando at the end of October. Hoping that everyone else gets them soon.
  23. Its on the RCCL web page, I think I found it on the Contact Us part of the website. It appeared out of the blue, the day I used it, so be patient lol
  24. Any packages we've purchased in the past, has included the gratuities, so I don't see why this is any different.
  25. Hi You wont find the offer on your cruise planner, all you need to do is: if you've booked directly with RCCL is give them a call and ask them to add it to your booking, or if you've booked with a Travel Agent in the UK, contact them and ask them to add it to your booking. Your sailing must be for 7 nights or more.
