  1. LOL…I just finished 54 (B5B) nights in May, as a solo, and I’m still where I started.
  2. They just changed them on the Ovation in May. My room attendant let me keep the old one. Only one side is magnetic.
  3. On my recent B5B on Ovation, they had gone to 2 liter jugs of distilled. I hope this is the norm now for ships, as I saw a lot of waste on shorter (7 or less days), with the gallon jugs. Now my cruises started in Australia, so maybe that is what they supply. Maybe some cpap’s use more water, but I barely made a dent in the gallon.
  4. This is why I use an airline mileage credit cards. I use Alaska Air card and take advantage of their bogo sales every few months. I also pay off my card monthly.
  5. My daughter just got off the ship today and had interior on deck 7. No issues.
  6. I was also on this one, but embarked on Mar 27, and went all the way home to Seattle. Luckily I could do that, since I got on the ship in Sydney.
  7. I just pulled up plan and sail to on website, and I didn’t see any repo options. Not sure why it isn’t showing. Makes it difficult for those looking for repo cruises, or I’m just looking in wrong place.
  8. This is due to Passenger Vessel Service Act, although reps still refer to it as Jones act, which is cargo. There are literally hundreds of threads on this and always seems to happen on the repos to Australia. People want to do both Alaska and Hawaii. Changing to a ship that starts in Vancouver for Alaska, change ship out of Seattle for Alaska leg, or add the TP to Australia are your choices. And they should have told this when you booked.
  9. I believe Cunard is your only choice for consistent RT’s between Europe and US. Most cruise lines do their Eastbound TA’s in the spring and westbound return late summer/early fall.
  10. In 2016, I did 2 Europe cruises and then the TA on the Vista. I prefer Westbound TA’s. I just finished a B5B on the Ovation of the Seas from Australia. It included legs to South Pacific, New Zealand, TP, Hawaii and Alaska. Next year I will be on the Panorama from Singapore to Long Beach. I did the reverse on the Splendor in 2019. Enjoy your retirement. There’s a whole big world to cruise to now.
  11. I don’t see any repo cruises listed for Carnival right now, only TA’s and TP’s. It might be easier to start with where you want to cruise to. How many days are you looking at? Most Carnival cruises over 9 days are called Journey cruises. Even a 3/4 day combined is a B2B, so narrowing down your choices might help.
  12. Try Downey Wrinkle Release and hang in bathroom with shower running as hot as you can get it. And sit in there with steam and get a free sauna too. 😉
  13. Have you received one? I liked it much better in person.
  14. Good to know about using free days on another device. I have never needed a second device, but if a reason ever comes up, I will remember that now. 😉
  15. Good to know. I stand corrected. I like late boarding, so when people mention midnight from where ship leaves, I thought that applied to West Coast also. Maybe that’s only Royal.
  16. Since the ship leaves out of Long Beach, it will be midnight Pacific time.
  17. My daughter and Granddaughter are on Wonder now. The balloon drop was at midnight last night, so she fought to stay awake. Not sure why so late, since it was technically July 5th. They also had some other games and trivia geared toward the 4th.
  18. You just need to do the math. Will it overall be cheaper to get your free day and pay onboard cost, which could be $24.99 or more, for 4 days, or get 5 days at $16.99. It will not be cheaper on the ship. I personally think you will be better off at pre purchased $16.99
  19. Maybe he was thinking 2 in a cabin, which is technically a 6 pack pp or 12 pack per cabin. Now if there were more than 2, it’s still 12. LOL
  20. You can look in the app at current sailing and see. Some of the headliner acts and comedians may change frequently, but you can see the main shows. I can tell you main shows…Spectra’s Cabernet, Live Love Legs and The Beautiful Dream
  21. I discovered taking an elevator up when everybody is going down helps. At least I get a space then. 😉
  22. You should be able to to get a price drop up to final payment, as long as it’s the exact category you booked. Not type of cabin, but exact category.
  23. You can also take 12 non alcoholic beverages on, which could include waters and/or sodas. I always take a pack of flavored sparkling waters.
  24. I personally find it easier to reserve in the cruise planner on website. Upper left on pull down menu and choose Entertainment. Everything to reserve should show up there.
