  1. Thanks. I missed the word “match”. Not a whole bunch of options that would match. 😉
  2. I have friends who are 4 Star in the Mariner Society on HAL. They get some pretty good perks. I’m not going to list them all, since it can be easily googled. 4 Star is 200 days and 5 Star is 500.
  3. My friends disembarked yesterday and there was no issue with the gangway. Looks to be repaired.
  4. Good to know. I’m missing my Wonder block from Oct/22 TA. I will give a few more weeks and then write or call.
  5. Cruise Critic and other social media sites are such a small percentage of the actual cruising public, yet most cruise line ships continue to sail full. Apparently the complaints aren’t great enough on the surveys, or people would rather complain on a message board than actually fill out a survey with their complaints. I would think if bookings started dropping off, the cruise lines might pay attention.
  6. I am so with you on this. I had a daughter in musical theater, and I love the dancing, singing, and could care less about the plot. Give me a good beat that I can bop my head to…🤣
  7. I like my drink vouchers, internet and solo discount. Food is bottom of my list. Many other cruise lines for foodies to enjoy.
  8. I always use Cruisemapper first. It seems to usually be accurate. And my daughter in San Diego is definitely getting comments about this hurricane. Her name is Hilary. 😉
  9. I priced the Aug. cruise when it first came out, and it was $4k-ish for an interior cabin, as a solo. It may have come down over the months. I sail both Carnival and Royal, so when Royal came out with the basic same itinerary (3 Greenland ports, 2 Canada) on the Jewel for $2k-ish, it was a no brainer for me. I have friends that moved over, but other friends who stayed on Carnival, since Baltimore was more convenient than Bayonne, NJ.
  10. You might want to read this. Anything can happen.
  11. Sometimes those snacks are my dinner…LOL I was recently on 5 legs on Ovation and some legs it was packed, and a couple were light. I guess it all depends on itineraries and Diamond and above numbers.
  12. You can share your Diamond vouchers and get them drinks.
  13. It doesn’t need to fulfill PVSA, the cruise leaves from Vancouver.
  14. You can watch the Muster drill videos on the app, or TV in cabin, but you still need to visit your Muster station and be checked off as completed. You aren’t completed by just watching the videos.
  15. That’s a great price in USD….$85-90 USD is common on a lot of cruises.
  16. When I had a 4k on the Spirit back in 2012, it was French doors that opened in. Maybe some ships had sliders.
  17. https://newfoundlandtimes.ca/newfoundland-screech-ceremony/
  18. I’m all set to get Screeched….LOL
  19. That shouldn’t be a possibility anyway, if a stop doesn’t include any of the ABC islands. Would be a violation of the PVSA (Passenger Vessel Service Act)
  20. I was going to say Google map it and you will see exact mileage difference I’m flying to Newark next month for the Jewel. Never thought about any other airport.
  21. That’s a good thing. This cruise was way overpriced when it first came out. RCI Jewel of the Seas in Sept. was 1/2 the price, and maybe some jumped ship..LOL My friends did.
  22. As a crafter (not a quilter though), I can appreciate the time put into making this. What a very nice keepsake.
  23. Same issues with Jewel, but was able to check in with everything this morning, except arrival times. Those aren’t coming up on website or app. There was obviously some issues last night, as I checked at 9 pacific, and everything was down.
