  1. lightweight😉 ... so at $400 -115=$285 available for 2 people over 8 days = $17.81 per person per day for 'alcoholic drinks' - about 2 drinks per day each ... we call that 'breakfast' ... but when the 'fare' includes wifi , grats, and 'specialty restaurants - gotsta do the maffs Does Virgin charge for specialty coffees, teas, bottled water? I need to at least start looking at some other lines ...
  2. I can get up to 15 alcoholic drinks per day with PRINCESS PLUS - how much would those 15 drinks cost me on Virgin?
  3. and NO OBC ... even if it's 'excursion' OBC - which I have for our future cruise
  4. Nope - at least that is what is showing. we booked PLUS 50 - not the current $60 and ours does not include the desserts and fitness classes ... thank goodness...
  5. when you do your cost analysis / matrix for bringing wine on board instead of a package - I seem to notice you do not factor in the corkage fee(s) ...🤑
  6. BEST. SALE. EVER - Best2DG - and kept the 'minutes' of internet
  7. Simple, really - wait until Princess invokes the 1 bottle per person limit ONLY - NO other carry on wines. Period. Princess wants to SELL wine at $80 for a $15 bottle ... not open a bottle for $20 enjoy it while you can...
  8. sorry, that is long gone now that the coffee package in connected to your medallion and onboard account, and ended at the end of each cruise - no carryforward - use it or lose it maybe because of abuse to the 'keep one punch for forever free brewed coffee?
  9. Have you downloaded the 'App'? the medallion is round and physical ... the 'app' is on your 'device' ( phone, tablet ... )
  10. Having a choice of different cruise lines is a beautiful thing...at least we can all agree on that. Hope you have great cruises. Was this your first terrible experience on Princess? or has it been a gradual thing (I'm guessing) and this was just over the top bad?
  11. WD-40, Duct Tape, Crow Bar, maybe some Gorilla Glue to reset at new location.
  12. as long as there is still a paper version available. It's hard to get those yellow highlighted marks off the phone from the previous days activities 😉
  13. 2007 - We really didn't pick Princess - It was picked for us, with our consent, by a TA with a Company that specializes in automobile road assistance, but also had a travel division. we didn't know 'jack' about cruising, nada, just went to this person on a reference and told him we wanted to go to 'Alaska' on a cruise. An Oceanview cabin on DIAMOND P - last cruise for it in Alaska for the season was booked, 7 day, including Glacier Bay, flights (another story), and a night stay at Captain Cook in Anchorage (where one bag was delivered after it didn't make flight - another story) Hooked on Princess and cruising - anytime dining was huge for me - even though we ended up with the same table, waiters, each night - our choice... didn't cruise again until 2010 - life, family - but still with Princess ... 16 cruises later ...
  14. kegs and eggs for breakfast at the local pub
  15. you have to 'pay' to drop an egg????
  16. I purchased PLUS at $40 (prior cruises)... Princess has added 'value' to the package and now charges $60 - that's and extra $20 per person per day for something that has no "value" to me - maybe others? did they increase the value of the drinks included? yes - $12 to $15. Did they increase the cost of the Cabs I drink? I dunno - but on our last cruise, I had a few $1.18 charges - takes a lot of those to get to $20 per day per person
  17. Drinks included in the 'Packages' now can be delivered to your cabin - for us, that was very nice. also most other places on the ship, but we really didn't utilize that feature. We like the medallion / even with the at times the wonky app.
  18. no grab rail ... and which is why we don't do mini's on Princess - shower/tub combo
  19. come on man - not my ship, not my rules ... j/s is 15 the line? - what about 14,13 and with 'friends'
  20. If I want to book the Sanctuary, Chef's Table, etc immediately upon boarding, how many people with medallions in hand will pass me and board before me? Or is this a pre-boarding, go to you assigned boarding 'station/lounge' and wait to be called to board - aka 'highest captain's circle level'?
  21. Everyone - meaning it's adults only - that's my definition of 'quiet' The Retreat Pool is Discovery’s complimentary adults-only pool and is located on Deck 17. It’s a bit tricky to find as you can only access it through stateroom hallways or by using the forward elevator bank. But once you get there, you’ll find a quiet oasis with a medium-sized pool, numerous loungers, and a full-service bar. Also the Wakeview Pool - and 'quiet' is very relative...
  22. Aren't there quiet pool areas on most Princess ships - not the 1 or 2 main pools with MUTS - but other pool areas something for everyone.
  23. That's just excellent - Congrats 😎
