  1. Have you considered cruising on HAL (Holland America) since they are the PPA cruise line? All Holland America cruise ships have pickleball. The line features the sport on Rotterdam, Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Nieuw Statendam, Noordam, Oosterdam, Volendam, Westerdam, Zaandam and Zuiderdam. Also, Holland America Line has been named the official cruise line of the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA).
  2. following - we 'almost' booked this cruise...just didn't align with life stuff.
  3. Tennessee Vols hat or shirt, but yeah we unknowingly went on a Legends of the Steelers cruise a few/many years ago. An excellent crowd of people.
  4. we owed $2.22 - perfect. and like you we had some beverage charges the first day, incorrect, and i went to PSD on day 3 to get them removed - took awhile, maybe the person was new, but all good
  5. a couple/3 of questions ... how old is the son? ... was the son in a different cabin? ... what kind of package did the son have?
  6. when a company puts out a coupon - it's for the benefit of the company, not the consumer - Princess is no different
  7. the dinner reservations was prolly a comped dinner in a specialty restaurant.
  8. CB - 5 day Eastern - Halloween - Grand Turk and PCay 2024 will be our year...
  9. Regal - Jan 22 - 4 day to Grand Turk - maybe 30% or less CB - Nov 22 - Thanksgiving - 5-day Western Carib - over 100% capacity - based on double occ
  10. then it won't be 'cruise fare' and subject to Princess/Aon insurance cost (8%)
  11. we don't tip housekeeping in hotels for single night stays - and we don't request anything extra, maybe towels. we don't tip in the mdr - again nothing extra, unless a baked potato with extra butter is a special request. I tipped $33 last night on a $137 bill for an hour and a half dinner. we tip room service a couple of bucks we tip at Vines - we spend a lot of time there - sometimes too much maybe NEVER removed autotips - we tipped $10 for a $60 order of firewood delivered to our house. we have a 'special' bag for our room steward upon arrival - call it what you want - and a special envelope sometimes at the end. we have also handed out small bags with candies, etc to people on the ship, just because... she enjoys putting them together and handing them out, that's what is important. any gifts/bags are in addition to auto tips and other.
  12. we ate at The Melting Pot (Fondue place) last night. 3 people, 4 courses each, 2 cokes, 2 glasses of house cabernet for me. $137 plus tip, Jumbo King Crab legs for Christmas, $65 per pound. It's expensive for CG - but not overly expensive.
  13. "IF" Traditional Dining returns ... and you book it ... you are prohibited from using the anytime dining room for the cruise. a "Strict" dress code will be enforced, for the 'enjoyment' of others as to not offend them. go for it - just not for us
  14. our supplemental (aarp - united healthcare) covered my medical expenses ($1,200) (non-covid) on REGAL in Grand Turk. our AON covered the deductibles for follow-ups when we got back home
  15. #UsToo - after the first time going the day before, now it's 'are we spending one night or two'?
  16. then it's been a great last 24 hours for you. have a great cruise
  17. are you the Roll Tide or Rocky Top? yeah, just ignore the boarding window and show up - without any status (new to Princess) - lots of cruisers will board before you can.
  18. hopefully a direct flight ... SW is having major problems to say the least - reading stories about people spending 5 days before being able to rebook - and if changing airlines crazy expensive, if available at all. guess it depends on airport and destination.
  19. sail date, ship, booking number to file AON claim ... as I remember
  20. which exact ports will the SUN not be able to visit as opposed to the current 'royal class' ships?
