No doubt the PCL bean counters weighed the amount of buzz created by these announcements and decided they aren't cost effective. Especially if the items were to be included in the Plus or Premier packages.

Your hotel can provide a "car service" for you, but it will be more expensive than a taxi. I believe a taxi will take you.

Can you tell me if the Island offered a Super Tuscan dinner (or lunch) in Sabatini's? Also was there a winemaker's dinner, or any other specialty meals? Pub lunches? Did you enjoy the Island? We will be on her in 2 months.

I've been a member here for more than two decades, and this topic, "decline in the quality" of cruise food has been at the forefront during all of that time. In the 60s-90s apparently, they served Maine lobster and Prime filets every night at no extra cost. 🤔 At some point in the future, our current situation will be fondly remembered at "the good old days"! 🙊

When I last sailed out of Barcelona, there was a liquor store at the gangplank. We stowed our luggage then went back down repeatedly to stock up. One member of our group is a beer drinker, and he brought a couple of cases onboard. Laughably, there was an unmanned "amnesty" table between the liquor store and the gangplank with instructions to leave any liquor behind. If there had been any, "someone" would have taken it. 😁 Pretty much all over Europe, the liquor rules aren't enforced.

Kimo's is my favorite restaurant in Maui and we go there often. It is a sister restaurant to Duke's and part of the TS Restaurant Group. Hawaii and California Locations | T S Restaurants About once a year we go to Mama's Fish House to spend stupid amounts of money, and while the atmosphere is sublime, I don't think the food is any better than Kimo's. Have you tried Kimo's Hula Pie?

The is a large tree shaded area in front of the Sheraton where you can watch the people jumping off of Black Rock. It's a great float and snorkel area and my favorite spot on the island. Give it a try if you feel like walking a bit further. 👍

The problem would arise when booking Plus or Premier. All 4 would have to book a package unless they wait until boarding.

We went around South America on the Crown in 2017. The mattresses probably haven't been changed since then.

According to medical professionals, sanitizers have no effect on viruses. They only work on bacteria. Hand washing is the only way to get viruses off of your hands. With that said, I do the same thing because then it feels like I've done something! 😷

I have often wondered why Princess doesn't designate one dining room for Traditional Dining. Also, why don't they designate one dining room for the formally dressed on formal nights, since so few dress up?

I always "laminate" my luggage tags with clear packing tape in case of rain. On my next cruise, we will each have one of the plastic sleeve tags from Amazon, and I will still use a laminated tag as backup.

All four of us got our own cabins since it was actually cheaper than sharing. This will be my first time having a big bed/bathroom and cabin to myself. (3 balconies and one Mini.)

We weighed the advantages of the packages and 3 of us decided to purchase drinks individually with our OBC ($850.00 each) since we typically only drink alcohol in the evenings. $200.00 will cover the gratuities and $240 will be spent on 2 excursions. We can drink the rest (looking forward to it)! 🤪The fourth person bought the Plus package even though she is a light drinker. Everyone should weigh the pros and cons of the packages and act accordingly. Happy cruising! 🛳️

If you are traveling with a partner, that is 30 alcoholic beverages, each day, for the two of you. How many do you think is reasonable? I don't want to be annoyed by stumbling drunks or vomit on my vacation, and I encountered both in my early cruising days on Carnival.
