  1. They did not have this offering for suite passengers in the summer. Envious since lines at PE are so unruly.
  2. Yes, booked on RT LA and the rest of 2025 is not yet available. I’m sure the Grand will go back downunder.
  3. Funny story. Pre-pay crew appreciation…$16 per day for a Window Suite. On board now and folio is showing $18. Should have pre-paid. haha
  4. I noticed that in the Diamond (sister ship) in an ocean view cabin. Mystery was solved when I saw that is was a multi-passenger room…triple/quad. Double occupancy has bed on side wall. Triple/quad had bed under window. I’m not a professional sleuth….so this is my best solution.
  5. How does the ship do a repositioning from US to down under in 5 days? Outerdog answered your question. Could Princess have a different rate exchange in your favor? Is it attached to the fare (plus insurance and taxes)/not usually in US. Insurance? Taxes? Hmmmmm
  6. We might have crossed paths with you today. Maybe even the same pigeon posed for me. Went back to Aura at the Cathedral. Nice lighted photos.
  7. Why am I spending a ton of money to see the fall leaves through your camera lens? Beautiful. Are you able to connect to all the Fairmont Hotels automatically or each one has a different sign in?
  8. I innocently did the same thing. I was making welcome aboard gifts for 5 cabins. Each was to include a mini bottle or two. My misunderstanding…it came from Princess, why not? I was gently reminded…and items remove while checking in at San Pedro (LA).
  9. Vancouver has one price taxi fare from the airport to the city. Cheaper than transfer if you use Princess. Pan Pacific Hotel is cheaper than the Fairmont and much more convenient/better experience. Join their loyalty club for discounted rooms. In the morning, call the bell desk. There is a very small fee for them to pick up your luggage AND deliver it directly to the ship. I am sure I. paid less than $400/night in September (2022?). Centrally located. Fabulous experience. You will get many CC members telling you the same thing.
  10. Yes, I understand how it works if you have a package. If you could find out how it will work for someone without a package, but in a suite, many would be appreciative.
  11. I have had two in the cabin watch video while unpacking and getting the cabin organized. I think it is a separate section from turning on the tv and selecting who is watching. If cabins are not ready, I watch it on my phone.
  12. The supervisor in the specialty restaurants are not the Maitre d' nor the Assistant Maitre d'. They are now called Assistant Managers (previously called Head Waiters). You can call the dine line or stop by the restaurant. Never had any problems reserving the first night in person. I could never do it through the app without being charged. Others have had success...not me. Your cabin number is displayed on the other side...dine line/room service. On embarkation day, it may be crazy and I've had to call back several times. But never had a problem getting a time of my choice. Sabatini's is easier than Crown Grill. Interesting....I had once called from a house phone for tea service. It took a little while for them to realize I was in a suite. Once I had just entered my room and received a phone call asking me what time I wanted dinner reservations.
  13. Finally someone in a suite doing a live, Do you have a beverage package? You mentioned ordering from room service on the first night. Would you get clarification…. Will suite passengers be charged $5 for picking up the phone to order room service meals from the MDR and/or tea service (a suite perk), Thank you.
  14. There are so many pigeons in Honolulu. I understand that my finding them doesn't count for your quest. But the next time you are in Waikiki....Hang out in front of the Honolulu Zoo..... What you won't find in the Hawaiian Islands are Seagulls. No Jonathan Livingston Seagulls here. (nor pelicans, snakes, skunks, raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks, and a sundry of other wildlife)
  15. Thank you for bringing good weather. Now, please place a pause on the leaves turning colors until we all get there next week. Glad you found a pigeon. Does that mean your quest is over...or one for each city?
  16. @Purplsmurf I do hope your cruise improves. You are onboard. Yay. I've had my photo taken (for security) several times. It all depends who is manning the camera. No one outside of those checking you off and on does it matter. I can understand why the powers to be said that your husband had to watch the video again. It was on YOUR phone, under YOUR account. Did you change the person watching the video in your cabin? You had to select your husband's account for it to register. It worked when he watched it on his phone because it was now registered to him. I can understand your frustration. Happened to my cabin mate too. She finally gave up and didn't bother to watch it for a 4th time. She was cleared. You must be used to the Royal Class ships or other cruise lines. Grand Class/GEM Class ships have never been known for elaborate buffets. Adequate, but I don't frequent the buffet often. Make friends with those in the IC and the MDR. They will provide you with Gluten Free pastry. I'm sure if you spoke to the Assistant Maitre d' (who is in charge of anything on the Lido Deck, room service, and other venues), he might be able to provide you with some assistance.
  17. They have been reducing this benefit. Might have a bubbly/might have a dessert wine...both not both. 2 reds/2 whites. I stopped going pre-pandemic when they had a community cheese plate. Then they had 2 to share. As a solo, neither was acceptable. Gone are the souvenir glasses. Usually held on the last sea day/formal day. Too much talking. Takes up several hours. And I don't drink red wines (so others on the table benefit).
  18. And with the "new" Green/Blue lines, embarkation priority is AFTER check in. You would think (oxymoron) that somebody at Princess would be able to design a better Rubric Cube.
  19. Laundry bag needs to be delivered to Laundry by 9 AM. Depending on how many elites onboard, you "may" get it back the next night or several days later (plan accordingly). I don't risk "me" being up and organized, nor having my room steward "see" the bag in the hallway before 9 AM. So I am in the group that puts it on the bed the night before turn down service. I have been the beneficiary of "free" tokens for the laundry room once. I smiled and said thank you.
  20. Boarding time: 11:14 AM It's a beautiful day in So Cal. What a send off you will have today. Happy Cruising.
  21. And don't leave chat or phone call until the email arrives.
  22. Did you have a refundable deposit? When does the FCD expire? It will either be rebanked or refunded if expired. Are you working with a Travel Agent? They should do the cancelling. If not, chat should be able to cancel it for you.
