What is your favorite sandwich on or off of a cruise ship
Lois R replied to Seamus6's topic in Cruise Foodies
Hi Lenny, do they ship that rye bread out of state? -
Just thought I would say hello. I am sitting in The Panorama Lounge on Whisper. I am in the last group off which is about 9:45. My flight home is not till 3. I will go to The Polaris Lounge in the United terminal and just wait. Hope all of you are doing well😀

I use a cover up that I have received many compliments on and it looks like a water color print. It zips up the front and is a breathable cotton. Some folks have told me it looks like a dress but it is a cover up. It has pockets too. I got it at Beall's and right now I can't think of the brand. I am on a cruise at the moment and when I get home I can post more about it. I get home tomorrow night.

No personalized stationary on Whisper either. And I can't recall the last time I have seen any.

Hi Liz, I had issues logging in here or would have responded sooner. For me, I would sail this itinerary earlier as I really felt quite cold much of the time. I packed in layers but a couple of days I was uncomfortably cold. I am guessing Sept would probably be warmer. Overall I had a very good time though. A few glitches did occur and I brought them to management's attention. I am sailing on The Dawn in January and really looking forward to it😀

Hi Carl, hope you and Ellie are both doing well😀

Good morning, we are in Boston and The Banjo's have disembarked. The sun is shining and hope they have a safe trip home. It was a pleasure to meet them. Tomorrow we go to Newport and then I disembark in NYC. Haven't decided if I will do review when I get home or not. I will say I have had lovely time😀

Port of Miami - What to do while in Port
Lois R replied to pattycake08's topic in Florida Departures
Any beaches? Yes, plenty of them, South Beach is pretty famous. Then just regular Miami Beach, North Miami Beach as well. You can take an Uber/Lyft or taxi. Most cruise lines offer Beach excursions as well. Anthem is Royal, right? You could check their offerings. -
I used a cab, both from the airport to the hotel and then from the hotel to the port.

Hi girls, just popping in to say hello😀 having a very good time. Cynthia, welcome back and sorry you got sick. Hope you are feeling better soon and that you had a wonderful trip. Things here are good. Weather has been cold and a couple of days with the sun shining but yesterday and so far this morning it is very cloudy. Met some nice folks and my tours have been quite good too. Quebec City is lovely. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi, no sun at all today....... It was a pleasure meeting you both as well😀

Salt? Never needed a reservation and I most recently ate there back in June.
-
Yes, when SS re-started in June 2021 I restarted with them. I am on my 7TH cruise since that time. 4 in 2021 and 3 this year.

Thank you😀I am on the Dawn in January to the Carribean.

I have also been told on my European sailings that Guest Relations never has Euros on hand. They always carry US $, no matter where they are sailing.

I am on the Whisper and have found my meals all quite good. First 2 nights I had fish and last night I had lamb chops. (Had dinner in Terrazza). Cooked to my request and very tender. I had breakfast in the main restaurant this morning. My Eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection and the sauce was very yummy. I always specify that I want my English muffin double toasted and they came exactly as I wanted too. So for me, and maybe I am just in the minority, on this cruise, at least for these for these first few days, no luster has been lost. I am finding a very friendly staff and crew, all very much engaging. Oh had my first bag of free laundry today too😀😊😃. This sailing puts me over 100 days.

Is NCL only cruise line that has Solo structured programs?
Lois R replied to VIKINGCRUISER's topic in Solo Cruisers
Hi, I have been sailing solo for 20 years but never on NCL. Structured schedules on a cruise don't appeal to me and I find it quite easy to meet others. Cruisers are usually friendly folks😀 Oh, you mentioned those who chat on the solo forum seem to be sailing with someone? I dont agree. I think most folks who post on here are going solo, hence the topic of the board. And they have questions about it. Hope we are able to help with answers. And I agree with Honolulu, the big factor is doing what I want whenever I want. If you find an activity that appeals to you, go for it. If you want to just take a nap and do nothing? Do it. Enjoy yourself😀 One more thing, the structured program? I do like having those meals. LOL -
River cruises(no matter the line) are 180 degrees different from ocean cruises. You are off the boat every day. Usually docked right in town. The opportunity to take 2 tours per day happens as well. And of course the size of the vessels and how many people are 2 of the biggest differences. It is a much more intimate experience.
