Hi, nope, no drawing of names. I end up seeing quite a few staff members repeatedly........and they are always happy to dine with guests. So, no I never get an invitation on my door. It is more like chatting with people I know and asking them if they would like to dine together. I sail solo and it is always nice seeing familiar faces and so in my case, that is how it works (for me). SS, in my opinion is always very welcoming to their guests. Oh, I never book an "upper suite".......just a regular veranda. So, cabin category has nothing to do with it.

Hi girls, I am home.........and guess what? I booked a cruise for August too LOL......(is anyone really surprised?)🙂. I had been looking for a sailing this summer and got a great deal while I was on board. 12 nights around the British Isles. First time visiting any of the places on the itinerary. They were running a special on this sailing......saved me an extra 25%😀 and especially for a solo. I am happy. Cruise starts in Southhampton and ends in Copenhagen.

Hi, I just got home today from sailing on The Spirit around Turkey and Greece and I ate multiple times with different staff members. And I have previously done so as well. I sailed on The Dawn in January and did the same. So, at least in my recent experiences, dining with staff is definitely happening.

Flight leaves at 9, I should be home around 12:30.

Food is so funny. I have been on Spirit for the last 10 days and sans 2 service issues, the food overall has been some of the best I have eaten on any of my sailings.

Hi girls, no big thing about my meal on the flight. It was very good. I had short ribs! Delicious.

Walked around in Athens and took a 45 minute bus tour. It was a long day after flying all night.

I am at The Sky Lounge in the Atlanta Airport. Food and drinks are free and they have some really delicious black bean soup. We board about 3:30😀

I love Waffle House too but I think the OP was asking for a "local place" rather than a chain.

Hi Kat, yes, Atlanta to Athens. No, I did not pre-order dinner and I just looked at the booking and I don't see anywhere to click to pre-order anything. One of the fields says "Order Special Items" but you have to do that before the 24 hour point. And I don't need anything special LOL Whatever they serve in Business Class will be just fine🙂
