  1. Hi JP and Chris🙂, JP, just caught up reading and looking at the beautiful pictures. Sounds (and looks) likes you had a fantastic time. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!
  2. Good morning, Sis and Bil arrived but my sis has a cold☹️.....actually she didn't feel well enough to go to dinner with us for my birthday last night. She said my bil and I should go anyway....so we did. The restaurant is a place I go to often and they were nice enough to give us a bottle of bubbly for the occasion. When we got back home my sis was fast asleep. At least she feels a bit better this morning. I made her breakfast and she ate it and a cup of tea. Have a good Sunday everyone🙂
  3. Maybe I am misunderstanding .but I have a good friend on The Muse right now and she told me Rico is the CD. So, are you saying they have 2 CD's on board Muse at the moment? Or Raphael is not actually doing CD work but working on board for this special project?
  4. I live on my own so I pack for me.....been that way for more years than I can count.
  5. Good morning, Melody, glad you are doing better🙂 Sharon, thanks for the birthday wishes and always good to hear from you and hope you are not being flooded out.....the rains out there are looking TERRIBLE... Be safe! Kat, just in case you are interested, there is a Museum in Juneau that is very interesting. I think Cynthia recommended it to me last year? Or it might have been 2 years ago LOL......I walked to it from the port so it wasn't all that far away. I can't remember the name of it though😮 And maybe you are already familiar with it......I enjoyed it though. Melissa, wishing you all the best.🙂
  6. Good morning, another caveat, 2 restaurants do not need reservations. Atlantide (Which is on all ships) and SALT Ktichen, which is on Moon and Dawn. Both of those venues are just "walk up". No reservations needed.
  7. Ohhh....sounds wonderful😀. Guess I misunderstood your other post. I thought you had 2 cruises booked on The Dawn and thought maybe one of them would be when we finally meet....oh well........
  8. Hi Randy.😀...ok, will give you a shout out......what 2 cruises did you book? Asking because I have multiple upcoming ones on the Dawn too.................
  9. Hi, I usually sail in a "regular balcony" and have been in an Oceanview as well and have NEVER felt I was treated any differently than those in the BIG suites. So, I have never thought there was a "class system". Everyone has the same choices of restaurants.......whether you are in the Owner's Suite or a Window Cabin. You can eat wherever you want🙂
  10. Its very easy to meet others, even without 52.....that is really ALOT of solo guests.
  11. Wishing you smooth sailing and really sorry to read about the slow, messy embarkation. Hope you enjoy the rest of the cruise🙂
  12. Glad to help......Metro serves BIG portions and breakfast is a BIG deal there🙂....they make an excellent fried chicken and waffles.....if you are so inclined.
  13. I echo your Butler sentiments. I am very low maintenance. I actually tell him what I don't want.....coke, for example......they can take that out and Ginger Ale can go in there instead. But I have never had issues with the Butler hovering or continuing to ask "do you need anything". I mean sometimes they do that of course, but never to the point that it bothers me. I am pretty straight forward with what I need......another example is: I don't like a duvet (just too heavy for me) so I make sure they remove it and make the bed with a top sheet and blanket. But throughout the sailing? I may not even see my Butler every day and that is ok with me. The Butlers (usually) will do as much or as little as the guest wants.......well, that is how it has been in my case.
  14. Sorry the boarding process is so bad☹️. I sailed out of Ft. Lauderdale on The Dawn in January and it was smooth and easy......got to the port about 1:00 and I was on board by 1:30---1:45. I wonder what happened for this cruise and why there are issues😮
  15. I think you should definitely go for it😀....you know I am a loner too LOL......if it looks like something you want to do? GO FOR IT GIRL😀 And thanks for the birthday wishes too......and yes, it is fantastic news!
  16. GREAT NEWS😀........My application for financial assistance for my cancer medication has been approved😀😀. My social worker at my Cancer Facility just called to let me know! Boy, that is one thing no longer weighing on my mind!
  17. Hi JP, are you enjoying the Ponant experience as much as the first time?
  18. If you just want to stay up by the port? (If you arriving late)I would just go to Cracker Barrell. As for local.......we have a place called Metro Diner. VERY well known. IF you want something local, I would recommend them. The closest one would be located on Hendricks Ave......about a 20 minute drive from the port. Here is a link and you can see all the locations. Some much further south than the port...... https://metrodiner.com/ The other place I would recommend is Maple Street Biscuit Company. Not sure if you have them in Atlanta or not. Anyway, there is one in San Marco (Sort of near the above Metro on Hendricks Ave) Here is a link to them: https://locations.maplestreetbiscuits.com/en-us/fl/jacksonville/san-marco/
