Is the word Diamond on any of those items? If not, I'd say they missed the point of the what the gift is supposed to signify. This oversight reminds me when Christine Duffy attended the Diamond Luncheon this summer and announced: " I'm thrilled to be here at the Platinum and Diamond lunch." People in attendance said they thought some of the guests were going to throw their bread rolls at Christine for her faux pas of including Platinum. 🙂

I couldn't agree more. Even after Panorama's azipod propulsion system is overhauled it could be Carnival still has little faith they will work sufficiently enough to ensure on time arrivals at Long Beach.

The scooter was taken to " scooter jail. " After being warned she left it out overnight a second time so the the safety violation was rightfully impounded. A form letter was left in the mail box of her cabin explaining the process to access the scooter from jail. I agree with the poster who said she should have had to pay a daily charge for use of the scooter jail.

You live in the bedroom of the U.S. Navy where I grew up. Dad was a captain usn (mc) and if we six kids slammed doors going in or out of the house we heard about it. 🙂 It may have something to do with how people are raised since childhood. At my age loud noises can startle me and it may have been so with my dad now that we're talking about it. I miss Meyera Oberndorff from my school days when ODU was still a college.

If it was slammed by accident why does the slamming last continually the whole cruise? They're either deaf or dolts is my experience.

No problem venting. If you see the Executive Chef please mention to him that Carnival's V.P. of Food Richard Morse announced 2 months ago the flat iron steak was replacing the strip loin on the dinner menu. The Chef should know when the flat iron is coming back, please ask if they know. That tough strip loin could use a few door slams on it to tenderize it. Good luck with the neighbors, maybe a polite suggestion would change the situation for the better.

My mother in law thought she was going to break her wide scooter down on board and tried to get away with leaving it in the hallway outside her cabin overnight. After being warned she continued to leave her extra wide scooter in the hallway and it was taken to guest services where she had to go retrieve it each day. She admits she would have done been better to get by for the week on a rental that was sized to access a standard cabin.

Maybe they changed their mind. 🙂

For all intents and purposes this ship should have had more than one "caution - slippery floor" sign in use. People on one side of the room were cautioned while those on the other side were not aware of the slippery conditions. We miss your buffet reviews and general comments from you many cruises from NYC aboard the Miracle. We learned a lot from you. Happy sails to you and yours.

Usually 6-7 weeks before sailing an email arrives offering up to 20% discounts. We wait for that to come before we make the call to grab it now or later. Booking ahead online has almost always worked well for us e.g. a 55 minute Elemis Sole Ritual with full pedicure was reduced from $55 to $44 for the port day we wanted so we grabbed it. That's a better price than what we can get in our area. Good luck
