Hi, just off the Equinox, lunch menus on sea days in the main dinning room have not changed for at least ten years. They are range good to excellent depending on the ship and that chef. They were excellent on this cruise.

We just got off the Equinox two weeks ago. The food in the MDH was great. PR on first night was the best I have had on 69 cruises on X. Two things were not on menus were no lamb chops and no Lobster. But what was there was very good. Bookings for X have been very good. In another post, the earnings were listed for RC. So the executive office must be ok with the direction they are taking as long as bookings and earnings satisfy Wall Street and debt is paid down.

As to the original question, on our last Apex cruise we were assigned fixed dining in Tuscan for 6pm, not select dining. We went to same table each evening and by passed all lines. I did not know it existed but we were assigned it. It turned out to be great.

We were on Equinox week of July 8, it was an eight day cruise. It was held the last sea day. Also there was a Murano lunch at the same time. I did not see cost and did not even know about it. I only saw it because we had a Zenith lunch in Murano. The Murano lunch was off the menu, the Tuscan lunch was a buffet. We have done both over the years. We like the Murano one. Either one is good. We also have done Sushi on 5. We do on port days and it is excellent.

Not on the Connie, Not on edge class, only worth it on the Solstice class. It is on worth 500 max without All inclusive with about 1300.

On last weeks cruise there was one CC person we thought. Erica said there were actually sharing duties with concierge class so Josh and Jonathan. They shared duties. She said that are changing roles a little to help her. So you may see several people as host or hostess when visiting morning elite breakfast.

We just got off the Equinox on Sunday. We had premium and had no problems. We did FaceTime, texts, watched utube and Netflix. No problems at all.

yes, it is always availble. Look for your CC sheet on each cruise, it will let you where it is located as well as all other events. If you do not see one ask you cabin Stewart for it. They are responsible for you getting one.

We just got off the Equinox and there were many trivia games. All were no prizes. It is better this way. No more petty competitiveness. People were problems for the crew and it finally was ended. There were still many people playing for fun.

Do not fret. We are on equinox now and food has been fantastic. The service excellent. Probably one of our best experiences out of our 69 cruises with x. There were no filets no lobster and no lamb chops in mdh but food was still great including prime rib. We went to chef’s table to celebrate our anniversary and it was exceptional. What an experience, food great and we met 8 other people that really bonded. Did not break up until 1115pm from 700. What a memory. Just think about having a great time and you will.

my wife is on Equinos this week and attended the concierge lunch on July 2. She reported it to be great as usual.

I will be boarding on July 8 also. If there is a Zenith lunch I will be speaking up. My wife is attending a lunch with CPT and Zeniths tomorrow. She is not shy and will also express her displeasure. Thanks again Peaches.

thanks for information. My wife is on the Equinox right now and I join her on Saturday. She saw the signs yesterday and immediately spoke with the CC hostess. Interesting the hostess agreed and said some of the crew was of the same feeling as my wife which is very upset. One of the main reasons we travel on X is because of their non smoking policy. We switched from Princess to X in 96 because of how they corrected problems and because of no smoking policy. I sure hope they listen to us and eliminate this test. I do not mind testing different things as long as they remove the tests when many of us do not like them. Thanks again for your post.

My spouse, 2 daughters and granddaughter are on July 2 Equinox cruise. I will ask her but we have done three cruises this year and never saw vaping on the Equinox, apex, or silhouette in the casino. I would not be surprised that someone would do it and no one would say but I think they try to keep it smoke and vapor free. Thats why we sail X, smoking ban inside for 25 plus years. Also, their first meal was great, wife said her prime rib was the best she ever had on X and she gets it every time. The menu has changed back with classics and no chance for add ons in MDH. I guess all the chatter and feedback nixed their test. They do listen on some things. They will continue to test things to improve their cash flow. That you can count on. Girls also enjoyed comedian first night. Lastly thanks for your review. Great job.

My wife is the mer sol lover, at home she like kj chard. On board sometimes they run out of mer sol or kj or elegance(KJ made). I will tell her about Sonoma Cutrer. It is 27 here in fla. Thats a little more than Mer Soleil and a lot more of her go to KJ which is around 10. Maybe on a special occasion we will try. Thanks for the suggestion.

Visa card that gives points. I have a Merrill card from Boa and never have problems with points and them keeping records on any use of points.

I had a card for years. During the covid outbreak I had five cruises that were cancelled, two of which had a total of $800 worth of obc was lost. Between BOA and X neither could find any trail of those transactions. Fortunately I had a copy of the transactions. Boa said it was an X problem and as you know X computer systems are not good. So after many calls and finally finding someone willing to search out by had I find out from that X rep she authorized credit for 600 of those dollars. So I lost $200. I was not happy and finally this year I pulled the plug and cancelled the card. It is just not worth it and we took 5 or more cruises per year. Your normal card may not be as good but safer.

We have sailed both and enjoyed both. To us the major issue is the Silhouette sails out of Miami and Equinox out of Fort Lauderdale. It is easier to get to FL via air or car.
