  1. You’re linked. Am at a loss as I have always been able to check in for the other cabin. Now here is what may be a stupid question — are you both the same VIFP level? If you are platinum and she is not, you can’t check her in at the 16 day mark. I thought this could be done, but was corrected.
  2. I hate to ask this, but are the booking numbers linked? It may be as simple as that. They should be, but maybe something got mixed up and the bookings aren’t linked. If they are, then I am at a loss as to why this happened.
  3. Stateroom access is different from stateroom being ready. Access means you can drop your bags and go. Ready means your rooms has been cleaned and you can stay inside the room if you wish.
  4. I don’t know if you still can, but we would get salads in a tortilla bowl from Blue Iguana.
  5. Check the on-line shop. They don’t have them now, but they may. They do have other items you may be interested in. https://shop.carnival.com/collections/all-products?page=1 and yes. They do sell them onboard.
  6. Thank you for starting my day off with such a beautiful picture. Looks amazing. Happy sailing!
  7. It usually pops up as soon as you open your booking manager. If it doesn’t show, call Carnival and they can do it for you.
  8. Story is beyond fishy. What web site did you read this on? Would be very curious to read it.
  9. Carnival is the clear winner in the spa relaxation area. I wanted to be excited for Royal’s, but I was very underwhelmed when I did the tour.
  10. Thank you everyone for your responses. Have a great day!
  11. Hello! Can I use my platinum laundry perk to have my clothes steamed/pressed? I don’t want them washed, just want the wrinkles removed. ‘’thanks!
  12. Are your bookings linked? If so, your parents may be able to choose a boarding time for you when they check-in. Please note I may be incorrect about this. after boarding, meet up with your parents and put things in their room so you don’t have to carry them around. Yes, you will have to move them later, but you will have the freedom of not toting your luggage while getting lunch and muster drill. If you want to be off the ship early, put that you have an early flight (I know you are driving, but early flights get off the ship in the first round). No one checks into these things, they are trusting people will put down proper departure info.
  13. What ship? If you book a spa cabin, you get access to spa amenities. See below from Carnival’s web site. If it is one of the newer ships, it is worth it for the thermal suite. Cloud 9 Spa™ staterooms do things a little different than ordinary staterooms. For starters, we dare you to cross the threshold without feeling a little more relaxed. Once you're inside, you'll find pleasing decor and in-room amenities like ELEMIS bath products and spa-branded bathrobes and slippers to enhance your stay. What’s more, your excellent stateroom choice gets you priority spa reservations, free fitness classes, unlimited access to the thermal suites, exclusive discounts on treatments during port days... and more. (And on ships with a Hydrotherapy Pool, you’re welcome to use it as much as you want!) And the best part? We've got a full range of rooms with that Cloud 9 mojo, from cozy Interiors to stretch-out Suites, ensuring you'll never have to sacrifice comfort for value.
  14. If I am not mistaken, which I often am, it may depend on the size of the ship.
  15. I wish we could share names as I would like to try a PvP, but it would have to be a good one and recommended by someone.
  16. Medical emergency. Had to meet up with Coast Guard for med-evac.
  17. If not, check with the airport as most airports have luggage storage.
  18. Play slots in the casino (make sure your sign and sail card is in the machine). Add money from your account (basically a room charge), and spin a few times and then cash out. Another thing people have done is purchase Carnival gift cards in the fun shops using OBC, but I honestly don’t know if they are doing that anymore.
  19. Thanks — it has been a while, but I thought it was $250.
  20. I use cruise cash. You are limited to $250 per cabin. I use it, but my travel mates do not. I just buy it as a buffer so I don’t have to use the credit card that I put down. As stated above, it is use it or lose it, but I use it.
  21. The cost may also be to deter people from taking multiple bags at a time. I’ve seen people taking 5 bags at a time, leaving none for guests at the back of the line.
