  1. Transfers... yes that would be good. If it is a BW or a BA or B-whatever. It should be a Balcony.
  2. Yes, it sounds like it is bookings with PLUS... Now, whether one can cancel PLUS once onboard, and not lose the OBC???? For me, $20.00 of the $30. OBC per day is an upgrade to Premium.... So, that leaves $10.00 per day to try to spend. The question then becomes... what about those who want to book SANCTUARY on the SUN, and already have Premium. THEN that does become a LOT of OBC to use up, when most everything onboard is already covered. I don't think it would pay us to re-book our two bookings... I know for sure that our next cruise has gone up, a LOT. Will have to do the math on our second booking. (edited to add: Nope, if I am remembering how much we paid, the fare has gone up about $600. No benefit there.) This might actually be a good thing if we were to book a 10 day.
  3. This should be well known and offered by any TA associated with the big online TA that does this every year.
  4. Does NOT sound like a deal, at all. A paltry #30.00 (or, however much) on a cruise that has gone up $1,000. Really? 'Disenchanted' is not the word that I have in mind for Princess corporate right now.
  5. I would also like to follow this thread. I understand that this are up to the North has been having some issues, due to the nearby facilities. I am also still confused about finding set-up rentals, restrooms, etc... on Eagle Beach. Right now we are leaning towards Coco Loco... While I have heard of public restrooms, the only thing I have seen so far are some Porta-Potties at the park area, just to the left/South of Coco Loco.
  6. Thanks! Will check out snorkeling with Woodwind!
  7. I think it might look like this.... Bed is on the sidewall, not the back wall. ______[ door ]______________ | | bench counter | | bath \ | | | |_____|_[ closet ]_ _| <> <> |_|
  8. There are photos of 11617 on the one website that focuses on cruise ship deck plans. If you are not able to access them all, then let me know. There is also a general photo of the hallway, taken right outside the door of this cabin. It can be hard to see details, but it appears that it is layed out like a smaller version of an OV cabin. The doorway is not 'recessed', and is almost even flush with the hallway. It does not appear that the door opens in the middle of the main area.... Not sure how the bath is located??? Hope this helps!
  9. If they go with the new SANCTUARY CLASS ship-within a ship... something tells me that Harmony will actually be come the new Sanctuary/Signature restaurant.
  10. Sounds like these Princess cruisers are real Party Animals!!!
  11. This is actually for a friend. If they book a Princess cruise, Southern Caribbean ABC Islands, what are some of the best things to consider? I know that this cruise is always highly recommended. But, hope to be able to give them some more thoughts. What different things make this itinerary so great!
  12. Somebody mentioned that it works on Chrome. It has not been working on my browser, but has been working on the new APP. Yes, some of this stuff regarding customer service.. (no notice on excursion) is pretty bad with Princess. I think many of us just deal with that now, as we know that the onboard experience is better!
  13. LAcruiser... Hop you can get the latest 'scoop'!!! We will hold you to your offer, and be looking forward to your LIVE!!! I just pulled deck plans up, side-by-side... The spaces are really about the same. Give or take, depending on exact scale. Princess can 'create' as many, or as few, SANCTUARY Class cabins as they want. And there are plenty of Mini-Suites, Premium Deluxe Balconies, and existing Suites onboard. Just new color codes on the deck plan.
  14. Following!!! Thanks for the post! We will not be boarding until Sun gets here to the U.S. The one thing that I am hoping to get some early info on is whether, with the new Sanctuary Club Class, that the Cabanas in the sanctuary might ever be available to rent to lowly non-sanctuary guests?
  15. LAcruiser, I would place NO weight on what you were told. In no way is that area 'small'.... If it were to be changed to a Sanctuary Club Class, then the whole Forward of the ship, from the entry into the pool area all the way forward, would become the new SANCTUARY/SIGNATURE. Everything is there... very little changeover needed. However, I am wondering just how well this over-priced new class is selling. On the first cruise of the changeover... every category below Sanctuary is almost sold out, either sold-out or RESERVE only. Tons of Sanctuary cabins sitting there, available.
  16. Has anyone been able to do this? Can you even know if this is possible before booking? This all seems so confusing with Delta. Thanks for any help or info!
  17. While the noodle bar is a huge hit, I wouldn't be too concerned about the one restaurant, Harmony. The bigger concern is what will they do regarding the Hollywood area. Maybe a last minute announcement, a-la SUN Princess, about the NEW SANCTUARY CLUB CLASS. Another ship without an Adult Area. Just Sayin'
  18. Go with REGAL... One of my favorites. Royal Class, before they made the changes. I would love to book Regal again on that itinerary!
  19. We usually drive when we cruise from Florida, here in U.S. It is more than can be done in one day, so we sometimes take even the third day. We are big on being the first at the port, as we want to board early. So NO driving on day of departure. If you fly, I would still do this the day before, as we all know how travel, and especially air travel, can go. You can always keep looking to see if cabins open up, or if you want to put a deposit on a Mini-Suite before prices increase. (if you are not cruising soon) Most cruises seem to be going up and up... as they book up close to final payment. The Plus Package can really add up on a longer cruise. As you mentioned before, and you are doing 12 days. You really have to 'do the math'... How much will Gratuities, WIFI, and the number of drinks and special coffees, casual dining. (we love Alfredo's) be likely to add up to. If it is anywhere close - the 'no worries, enjoy!' factor could make it well worth it! You might NOT want to do the Plus package if you are a wine drinker. The selection and quality of wine included in Plus seems to be lacking. Happy Planning!
  20. The real sale/benefits have been thru one of the huge online travel agencies. Not sure if checking with any other TA or Princess PVP would the thing to do. The prices have gone up on our bookings.. so, based on current prices, I don't think there is any way that this will help us. If anyone is looking at a booking where this is far in advance, it could be helpful.
  21. Not so long ago, at breakfast in the MDR, our table for two was that close to another table.... OMG, that guy.. at breakfast, first thing in the morning... the 'loud and obnoxious' one... talked about everything that one might not want to bring up at the table... We were like... "whoa... glad we are not traveling with them!!!"
  22. The web site seems to be screwed up a lot lately... I think the APP is working.
  23. Canker, are you sailing soon??? I understand that Princess is going to be bringing back some 'Traditional' dining, (as the OP is wanting). The new SUN Princess has a three level dining system.. TRADITIONAL, by Reservation, or by waiting upon arrival... and Walk-Up. Has Princess not said that they are going to be doing this on their other ships. It would be kind of like when they had one dining room as TRADITIONAL, and the other two as AnyTime... But more of a focus on being able to make Reservations. I can see how there is a lot of confusion and lack of hard information right now! If this is not ironed out before you board... If you request a large table, and then get to know some of the others on that first night... Staff would probably try to accommodate a TRADITIONAL reservation for those that want, for the next night and forward. Those that end up at a large table, like you, might be looking for the same kind of dining.
  24. Here is a photo of this cabin, D220 : I can also post a video from the cabin just two doors up.
