We did a walking tour from Rick Steve's tour book. Also went to synagogue, for which we should have contacted them in advance. One of their staff gave us a tour.

Did a 6 nt on Jewel in April followed by TA to Amsterdam then 5 nts in Amsterdam before flying home. No covid for either dh or myself.

Absolutely agree. Our other TAs were on Radiance class ships. All very nice. Will be on Anthem TA in October. I remember a very rough sailing in the Caribbean in January. You never know.

I think the smoothest TA was a mid October sailing on the QM2. Beautiful weather. Asked dh if we were really moving! On other sailings from Harwich and Copenhagen, sailed north before heading west. English Channel could be bumpy. This April's Jewel sailing was lovely.

I know we all worry about temperatures, me too, but how are they shipped? I don't think fedex ships them in air-cooled containers. Or the post office. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't like it on the app. Prefer paper. Received paper on our December, and both April Jewel cruises.

Question. When you decided not to take the trip to Denali, etc, whom did you tell? I understand your concern about the smoke but the question is how and when did you cancel. Normally when you cancel a shore excursion to get a refund you must do it 48 hrs in advance. Of course this wasn't a standard shore excursion but an add on. If you have the name of the person you spoke with to cancel it would help.

Had them in our carryons flying to Miami in April. No questions asked.

I've gotten responses but wasn't looking for refunds. Had a problem using obc for pre-cruise purchases. They apologized, fixed the problem and gave me some more obc. Someone is there.

My understanding is it's from the EU. Their requirement.

There testing requirement for unvaccinated is a self test!? Not a proctored test. Doesn't sound very good.

I have a Samsung tab S and while app the isn't on it I have the button that takes me right to the full website. My phone Samsung S22FE has the app. Works for me.

No wristbands on our April cruises. Of course on our Jewel TA there were only 1127 of us!

Sorry, it's not there on Oasis or Quantum class ships. I agree that were a symbol and I miss them. Take a look at the ship pictures.

We had an obc, not from a group but from Next Cruise, "fall off" when I tried to book a shore excursion. Booked and paid for it as it was a good price after I called and staff couldn't figure it out, though they told me to go to my ta! After I emailed mbayley@rcci.com. they apologized, found it, gave us some additional obc. It was an IT problem. Sound familiar.

I maybe wrong but don't think any of the new ships have a Viking Crown lounge.

Passport? Birth certificate!

Got an email update from Royal for our 8/28 cruise from Galveston. Test 3 days in advance, no pier testing day of sailing, or onboard or departure testing (didn’t apply to us). Vaccination still required but working with ports that require them (Cayman Islands for our cruise).

Raised seal birth certificate. Not sure what ages require birth certificate. My granddaughter has had a passport and global entry since she was 2! Crazy parents.

We always test separately on separately except when we both used my laptop in Amsterdam. Dh had a little delay in using his account after I tested. He says logged out completely from emed and the started fresh. He has his own account.

Always take a passport. The issue is if an emergency and you need to fly home you can't without a passport. Cozumel seems to a US representative but not all islands have someone.
