  1. I don't mean to upset you by saying don't let this ruin your "cursed?" cruise. Try a few times to pre-reserve your MTD and, if unable, do, as was suggested, go to the MTD room to confirm your 6:45pm dining time. Breathe, and deal with problems as they happen and try not to worry/stress about the small stuff. System upgrades seem to be occurring more often and glitches do happen but don't let it ruin your cruise. By the way, I pulled up our future cruises (quite a few) and the site said that all of them have been paid off!! Haha! Yes, it's a glitch! I'll be checking my cruises daily to make sure that our upcoming cruises that we did actually pay off, remain paid off! Enjoy your cruise, hope everything works out for you, and cheers!
  2. That's so nice for the crew! I hope they are having a great time today at CocoCay!! Cheers to the crew!!
  3. For a B2B, you will be escorted off of the ship last and then first back on; however, if you want to leave the ship before you are escorted off, to get fresh clothes, you will need to get an "in transit" card from GS; I don't believe that you will need to wait to get back on the ship when you return. On the ships we've been on for B2B, we were served a complimentary lunch for our group in the MDR. Breakfast is for everybody in the MDR before passengers get off. Hope this helps! We love doing B2B's; easy peasy!
  4. I agree that the ridiculing and backlash comments are totally unnecessary, so you should let those comments fall on deaf ears. You, as well as others, have been able to express feelings and concerns here on this forum, and you must be willing to listen and accept what some are saying, even though they do not totally agree with you.
  5. This probably sounds silly but I noticed that I would be due to receive another crystal block on Oasis (which I already have that CB), a couple of weeks after cruising on the Icon, so, I added another B2B just before the Icon, so I could get an Icon crystal block!! Am I nuts?🤔 Would any of you done the same?
  6. Yeah, we should have booked sooner but I really didn't think I'd like the ship but, after following the Icon build, we decided that we wanted to see it in person. We're getting older and can't take $$ with us, so what the h***! Let's cruise on Icon (at least once)! Cheers!
  7. We booked an inside (deck 9) on Icon when the "test" week for November 15, 2025 popped up (intermittently) on-line. We paid $3,875.28 total base price for two and added grats/ins for a grand total of $4,397.28. Pretty pricey for an inside for a week; however, that price has only been going up when I randomly check. If anyone notices a nice drop, please post and let me know (possible finders fee)! We are really looking forward to seeing the Icon up close and personal!
  8. I've seen some other sneak peek videos of the Icon, so not sure why Chris Wong is not allowed to post his yet? The ship looks fabulous inside and out!
  9. I wonder why others have posted videos of the Icon and Chris Wong is not allowed to post his yet?
  10. I cancelled and rebooked the DBP immediately yesterday and even got my OBC back right away, so I could use it again.
  11. We're packed and ready to board the Adventure in the morning! Safe travels and a great cruise! Will pop into your blog from time to time to see how it's going! Bon Voyage!
  12. Looking forward to seeing the changes! We'll be on her this weekend, next February, then again in 2024 for the NYE cruise! Playmakers would make a nice addition!
  13. We've done several B2B's but have not had your situation with your minor DD; in that instance, unless someone else can help, I would go to GS on board with that question. Changing cabins is a breeze! You'll just need to put new luggage tags on your luggage. Pack all of your small/drawer stuff in your luggage but leave all of the hanging clothes in your closet. Leave everything in your cabin and your room steward (give him advance notice of your moving rooms) will have everything moved for you. Be sure to keep your IDs, passports and sea passes in hand for the transition. The B2Bers will meet in a designated area to be the last cruisers off of the ship (for the manifest). Your group will be guided off of the ship, given new sea passes, and allowed to be the first passengers to walk back on board. It's great to be part of the first cruisers to get back on the ship! You most likely will be invited to a very nice lunch just for the B2Bers in the MDR. Hope this helps! Good luck! Enjoy! Cheers!
  14. Yes, that one time we dined with the Key guests in the MDR at no charge. Chops is still listed today (I just looked for the Adventure on December 8th) in my cruise planner but the sale price of $15.99pp ($18.99pp with grats) is no longer available; price now is $26.99pp for lunch and $62.99pp for dinner. My reservation says lunch is on Day 1 at 12:15pm. So, not sure where our lunch will take place but, if Chops is closed for lunch again on embarkation day, they will honor our pre-purchased Chops lunch somewhere and maybe with the Key again at no charge. Time will tell!
  15. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary! The pictures of you and your happy family are wonderful! Hope you thoroughly enjoy your cruises! We also enjoy dining at Chops and have had good luck getting in CK when in a JS but be sure to go there as soon as you board for reservations. We're also cruising on December 8th to 22nd on the Adventure for a B2B (love those), and cruising from PC. Merry Christmas, bon voyage, and cheers to you and your family!
  16. We have seen The Book and do not recall any inappropriate or sexual jokes. We enjoyed the show but we're old; some kids may enjoy it and some may not.
  17. I always enjoy Hibachi as well but prefer not to pay for the surcharge (if there is one). On our last cruise, I was lucky enough to see a price "mistake" for a dinner at Hibachi. The price listed for dinner was the lunch price, so I snagged it for the 2 of us! That price was only listed for a few hours but, like prices have been posted wrong in the past, they honored the mistake! Score!
  18. Remember, Hibachi is attached to the Izumi restaurant, not Chops (if you didn't know that).
  19. If there is a charge and your adult group is less than 10, maybe you can round up a few more Packers fans to split the cost! Good luck!
  20. Hah! I just read that the tree is up and decorated on Adventure!! A picture is on the other site but I don't know how to copy it here. Maybe someone else does!
  21. He/she is talking about removing ALL gratuities from his cruise and just paying those individuals who he decides deserves tips, not having any prepaid or daily gratuities added to his cruise. That is what the disagreement is about here. You may have misunderstood his/her meaning of the post.
  22. We reserved that wonderful "winners" section at Playmakers on Wonder last year and it was fantastic! The reservation was $100 for 10 of us and, since we all had Deluxe drinks packages, instead of buckets of beer, they brought us multiple appetizers! So much food that there were leftovers! It was a great space for 10 of us to enjoy football!! Good luck and cheers!! Oh and btw, Mariner's Playmakers currently does not have the "winners/VIP" section yet; however, the employees told us that they do plan to add it soon! It will most likely be in the section to the right of the bar (when facing the bar).
  23. I'll only say this once and I'm not here to argue. There are staff members "behind the scenes" that you will never see or meet that depend on those gratuities and you are denying them well-deserved money. Why not keep the gratuities in place and tip a little extra to those you see, who go over and above expectations? Don't answer that; just think about it. However, your mind is probably made up, as is mine. I bet you have never paid it forward either, cause that person would not be specifically doing something for you. I really hope you change your way of thinking some day.
  24. If the specialty dining venues aren't filling up, it is possible to see some discounts while on board. Look for the specialty dining staff walking around, trying to entice cruisers to purchase some specialty dining at a discount. If they're offering 10% off, I suggest that you offer 30-40% off. Maybe even let them walk away from you, and possibly coming back to you awhile later, after checking with management. That has worked for us in the past. Good luck! Bon Voyage! Cheers!
  25. Something tells me that their "education" was based on hearsay and not actual facts. Let's hope they could distinguish one from the other. (probably stirring the pot, my apologies but had to say something)
