  1. Since I liked your post, maybe we could split if one of us wins!๐Ÿ˜‰
  2. That's why I usually visit the Cafe Promenade every morning for my caramel macchiato! Yum! I only indulge in these while cruising. Don't want milk or half-n-half in my coffee! I buy the flavored creamers while at home but my cruise coffees are the best! DH prefers black coffee. Yuck! To each her own! I do like the Bailey's suggestion though! Cheers!
  3. Ours actually went down for February, 2024 by around $15 (unless it's an error).๐Ÿคซ Went down from $282.12 to $267.78. Woohoo!๐Ÿ˜
  4. I wonder if there was any way to have a specialty coffee (caramel macchiato) brought to my room vs just coffee; maybe if I tip the server? Yep, I can be a rather lazy gal, especially early in the morning.๐Ÿ˜ด Anybody ever ask? DH says, "just get off your a** and come up to meet me after my morning walk". He's probably right (don't tell him I said that).๐Ÿ˜‰
  5. Bon Voyage and Happy Anniversary! Pssssst - don't forget to get an anniversary package to celebrate "privately"!๐Ÿ˜‰ Heehee! Cheers to the happy couple!!๐Ÿฅ‚
  6. Oh, wait a minute, we have a full set of the "loving cups" but they are in FL, so can't post a pic of them now; anybody else have them? They were shot sized cups in different colors; if you ordered the "after dinner drink of the day" in the loving cup, the cup was included to keep/collect. Ours are at our FL home in my curio/cruise cabinet with our crystal blocks! LOL!
  7. I could post pictures of the wonderful Andes chocolates that we used to find on our cruise pillows; however, we caved and ate all of them!๐Ÿ˜œ Cheers!
  8. For those doing a B2B that need to change rooms for the first time: First, advise your room steward that you will be staying on board but changing rooms. Leave all hanging clothes in your closet, Pack all of your drawer stuff and toiletries in suitcases. Add the new room luggage tags to your suitcases. Leave everything in your room for the steward to move them for you. When you're ready to exit your old room to meet in a lounge to be escorted off of the ship, re-check your room to see if you have everything needed to exit and re-enter the ship, such as your old and new sea passes, passports/ID's, and anything valuable from the safe. Done! Enjoy the provided luncheon (if available on your ship), and enjoy the next leg of your B2B!!! Cheers!!
  9. Can't help you with your questions but you can ask your room steward to pad with your bed with blankets to make it more comfortable for you. This has worked for us! Good luck and happy cruising!
  10. Yes, I just read your reviews. Thanks for sharing your experience at the Ilikai. I found ours through the AirBnB site and paid a deposit to reserve it for our 5 night stay post-cruise. The pictures that Taylor emailed me are absolutely gorgeous, and hope that it really does look that great in person! It shows panoramic views of the ocean, and the kitchen has granite "waterfall" counters, which is stunning! We also reserved a 2BR/2BA condo. Big thanks to @scottca075 for restaurant suggestions, as we'll definitely try out those burgers! Last time we were there, we also found the best dessert ever at Duke's on Waikiki; hula pie!! Definitely plan on going back there, maybe more than once during our stay! Thanks to both of you for the info! Mahalo!
  11. Thanks for your reply; however, after searching, I was unable to find your reviews. Maybe you can attach them here for me to read? If not, my questions are more about your stay at the Ilikai. We rented a condo at the Ilikai through AirBnB from a person named Taylor; did you do the same or get your room directly through the hotel? I'm just hoping our rental is legit and not a scam! We've never done AirBnB before but our son always uses them, whereever he travels with no problems. Thanks again!
  12. How was your cruise and your stay at the Ilikai? Interested in any updates! Thanks!
  13. Went ahead and bought a couple of drink packages on our upcoming cruises cause I don't believe they will get any cheaper. Like cruisegirl1 said, I can always cancel and repurchase at the lower price. BTW, I heard that Celebrity is getting ready to increase its gratuities prices, so I bet RCCL will follow suit. We have already and always prepay our gratuities well in advance to avoid price increases.
  14. Just be prepared to have them taken away from you. Different ships, different rules sometimes. Ya never know!
  15. I think I was just a couple of seconds faster than you this time!๐Ÿ˜œ Cheers!
  16. FYI - I can see specialty dining deals on our Panama Canal cruise on Radiance in September, 2024, so you may check your "My Cruises" account to see if yours are already listed for purchase.
  17. The cabanas usually can be shared among 8 guests total but I believe you can add 1 or 2 for an extra cost. The only things that come with a cabana are a locked small safe for valuables, a couple of beach mats, a cooler of bottled water for all guests, and a personal cabana person to serve your drinks and food that you order. Food is provided but drinks are not, unless you've purchased a package from the ship.
  18. Don't be so hard on yourself. You're not an idiot; you just did an idiotic thing! Mistakes happen. Have a great cruise! Cheers! (However, you made me chuckle!)
  19. Nope, you are not alone. We have no desire to try Icon; let the kids go crazy on it! We prefer the Oasis class down to the Voyager class but also prefer cruises for 7+ nights; no shorties for us!
  20. We'd prefer the first 3 on your list. In our opinions, Chops filets (medium rare) are the best and the peppered bacon appetizer melts in your mouth! 150CP has great food, as well as ambiance! Wonderland is an unforgettable experience and the World dessert is worth it alone! Hooked seafood was just ok and Jamies is too much pasta for us. Whatever you choose, enjoy and cheers!
  21. No one really knows for sure if the late dining time will become available again. If I were you, I would go ahead and make MTD reservations for 8pm (schedule via your cruise planner app), go to the MDR on boarding day and see if it can be changed to traditional dining at 8pm. In any event, you should be able to dine at 8pm, regardless of where you are seated. The menu will be the same, unless choosing specialty dining or the WJ buffet. Good luck and happy cruising! Cheers!
  22. I don't know but you may want to pose this question on Celebrity's site, not Royal's. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/16-celebrity-cruises/
  23. When we went to Chops that day for our pre-purchased lunch, we were told that it was closed due to there being too many B2B'ers and Key guests to have the lunch in Chops, so it was held in a private area of the MDR. We were allowed to join them because we should not have been able to book Chops for lunch on that boarding day, and were also refunded our pre-paid price for the mistake and the runaround.
  24. Not sure how many ships do this but on our last cruise on the Serenade, Chops was closed due to serving all of the suite guests and the back-to-backers in the MDR. They are all served a very upscale lunch on embarkation day! I had been able to previously book Chops on-line but, when we arrived, we were told about the closing. Since it was obviously RCCL's error to even let us book the lunch, we were able to dine with the others that day and was even refunded our pre-booking fee, so they made it right for us!
  25. If it's not sold out, you can always add another week! Even if it is sold out now, keep checking as rooms sometimes open up right before final payment! We usually do B2B's and really enjoy staying on the ship for that 2nd week! Happy cruising! Cheers!
