  1. For the right itinerary, in the right cabin we certainly would.
  2. I'm the one off that has never used a travel agent, because I love making extensive travel arrangements, especially in Europe. Two or three months or more, no problem, I truly enjoy all of the planning, booking, etc. For me it's part of the fun of the whole trip. Barcelona and Rome are wonderful cities with lots to see. I hope you are able to spend a few days in each. From Civitavecchia you can take the train or a taxi into Rome. Travel medical and evacuation insurance are a must for us. I use The Trip Insurance Store. You can read all the info on travel insurance here https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/499-cruisetravel-insurance/
  3. I was hooked before we even left Sydney on our first cruise. I loved everything about it, the ship, the crew, the shows, it was a TP so lots of sea days.
  4. They do them at Marriott locations here also, waste of time.
  5. I have booked many private tours with Tours By Locals in many parts of the globe, and have always been happy with the tours. Out of curiosity I checked your ports and they come up in each of them.
  6. Your last two sentences, I have wondered that. Having not been on a cruise ship since 2017, I have no idea of the answers. I do know that pretty much in any area of travel, the person who is not happy is way more likely to comment than the person who is happy with their experience, because it is what they expected or better. Two months from now we will be moving into the second week of b2b on Celebrity Summit. I guess we will find out. Up front I expect to be happy.
  7. crystalspin gave you excellent information. Welcome to Cruise Critic!
  8. I suggest you move o Cunard, it sounds like they would be a better fit.
  9. I always book flights and hotels separately, personal preference. I don't like to intermingle the reservations. Three different parts of travel, three different reservations.
  10. Thank you. I do think it's time to go back to muster drills now.
  11. I haven't been on a ship since 2017 but will be two months from now. Why is there no actual muster drill now?
  12. We each has different ideas, but if it were me the choice would be RC.
  13. For us the choice would be Royal Caribbean or Celebrity.
  14. If you pick a 'dinner time' that would be MDR. There are no reservations needed for the Windjammer which is the buffet.
  15. It wasn't "bucket list" for me, but I certainly enjoyed the cruise. We have actually done Panama Canal twice with different itineraries.
  16. We usually go to the shows each night, even on back to backs. We don't gamble and aren't big drinkers, so we enjoy the shows.
  17. We will be on Summitt August 6 for B2B, following....
  18. Wash hands, wash hands, wash hands etc.
  19. Just being on deck watching sail away is fantastic.
  20. We have been to Cozumel multiple times, been to Aruba, Ambergris Caye, and Caye Caulker, but these were all land trips, for a week or more staying in nice houses with pools, and space for all of us. There are some places that just are better as land trips for us. It's great to wake up and have the water about 50 feet from the doorstep, and you can just take your time walking on the beach. I grew up in city on the Gulf of Mexico, maybe that's why I don't take beach cruises.
  21. Hank I agree 100%. Scotland and Ireland are most definitely best visited on a land trip or 2 or 3.
