Agree, Ben is the best!!!
Ben is one of the best. Heard Elizabeth Setzer on Glory recently and really enjoyed her act.

Depends upon MD. Usually we pour off a glass in our cabin and bring it to dinner on night we want wine.
-
Family shows you usually can walk right in. For 7 30 ones we skip dessert and usually no problem getting there on time.
Adult shows get there early at least a half hour if not more.
-
Depends upon how long the cruise is

Steel drums would be amazing!!! Nothing better than sailing through the Caribbean with that sound in the air......
Love getting back on the ship and they have these bands playing down on the pier. I will stand there for 20+ minutes just listening to them, and tipping them of course.:D:D
Interesting, never knew that some people will tip bands on the ship. Have to think about this.

We know from experience. For example HMC, GC and Belize are tender ports.
Where else might you be going?

Dont think we care anymore. The excitement of watching sailaway and looking forward to our cruise works for us.

We had the same cabin steward on the Breeze in the beginning of November 2015 and then again over Christmas 2015. Booked the cabin next to my previous cabin. He remembered us!
Very rare for that to happen but one month apart same section of the ship can happen

We watched Mad Max at midnight on the Sunshine in December. We actually took a nap after dinner so we could make it through it.
It was nice laying on a lounger with a blanket. It was relatively crowded.
I would definitely do it again if they movie they were showing was worth it.
Dont see us staying up till 2 am just to watch a movie we could see elsewhere. BTW saw it at home and thought it was one of the worst movies ever

Unless you were originally booked in an accessible cabin (wheelchair cabin), this is not normal business on Carnival. It sounds like your travel agent agreed to something on your behalf that is not actually acceptable to you. I'd get with that travel agent and let them know that. And for the rest of us, this is a valuable lesson of why it's not a good idea to book with a travel agent....book directly with Carnival instead.
That being said, Carnival's policy is if you are booked in an accessible cabin and the passengers in that cabin are not disabled, you (or your travel agent) are told at time of booking you could be moved if a handicapped passenger later needs that cabin. If that occurs, Carnival will move you to a cabin that is at least equal value OR HIGHER at no charge.
Sorry this happened to you.
Agreed this sound very strange and would also fight to get to the bottom of it.

Using tenders in high seas (swells) is very dangerous. That's probably the reason, they skipped the port.
Makes sense to me

How do people off the ship know to get back early? Strange
-
What about paying for your cruise and perhaps your plane tickets before you receive the service?
I dont like to but when you have no choice you have no choice.
-
I dont like paying for something before we receive the goods or services.

Always look at the FunTimes.
Technically days 2 and day 3 of my Victory cruise were port days, but the MDR was open and I ate there both times for lunch; it depends on the times of arrival and departure.
Yes I do like the MDR for lunch.
I feel like when JH asks a question he is really looking to see if
Yes - you like it, so maybe carnival can make you pay.
No - didn't even notice it was an option, so carnival can toss it.
I bet MDR lunch disappears completely soon. cost savings.
Do miss the lunch on port days when we go out late or come back early but those days are gone.
I do agree that there is often an ulterior motive for JH's questions

Unfortunately no to all your questions. However, we are platinum on carnival. We recently took our first princess cruise. We felt like we were platinum. The level of service was much higher than carnival.
Same thing happened with us. So strange after becoming Diamond on Carnival.
You do get past guest rates on the other cruise lines.

On Carnival it is hard to be too far from a bar no matter where on a ship you are. Best wishes

How nice

Got the call today. Was booked in a 4K for upcoming March cruise and was offered an 8K extended balcony for only $150 more!!! So excited

What time is he set to make this announcement today?
Rumor has it that the announcement will be at 10 am but it has been changed to tell us there will be an announcement in 26 days.:)

A few years ago we went with two other couples total of three cabins and each couple got its own bottle of wine.

Great news! I'm pregnant. At 38 + other factors, we thought we might have troubles conceiving, but nope! First try.
Terrible news!!! We were going to have our last hurrah 4/10 on the Splendor at about 16 weeks along. Unfortunately, with the Zika virus spreading down there, it's not possible. We already cancelled a July cruise since I'll be too far along. So sad. Looks like I've taken my last cruise for a while.
My coworkers aren't really getting it, so I thought venting to someone who would actually understand might help.
Thanks for "listening!"
Keeping your baby safe is the right thing to do and will pay dividends to you and your husband.

Plan to leave say 2 hours before sail away and watch the time and you will be fine.
We almost always do things privately or just go to beaches on our own.
-
Odd that they would all go to Jacksonville to talk about China?
Perhaps they found a real good Chinese restaurant they will use to make the announcement.:)
Seasick on Carnival?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Only problem is about 35 cruises was on a cruise to Panama where we were subject to heavy winds and rough seas.
Generally sea conditions are not a problem.
