  1. Thanks BlerkOne I will give it a try.
  2. I am on the Royal from Honolulu on the 2nd of Oct and I too have had my application rejected. With the exact same wording as you. My last statement is from the end of June and no further statements will be available until the end of September which will be too late to submit. I contacted my broker Comsec and here is a bit of (maybe) relevant information from a rather long winded reply. This does mean that until the point in time when we can allow clients to opt-in for the eStatements, you will continue to receive CHESS statements via post in the month following any movement of units on your CommSec account. So what I will do today is buy a few CCL shares ( to make a movement of units as they said in the email) and see if get a new statement at the end of the month. Hopefully it will appear online in my account and I can send a copy of that in time for the now increased deadline of 4 weeks before the cruise. Princess Australia has definitely changed things for the shareholder's OBC and are really making it hard to get. I've never had any trouble like this before.
  3. Not needed for NZ but be aware you are not covered medically on the ship if you need their services. Medicare doesn't even cover you in Australian waters.
  4. Below is a section of the paperwork that we printed out to take with us from our credit card insurance (by Allianz Global Assistance) that we used for our cruise in June to New Caledonia. I have underlined the relevant section. This paperwork was checked at boarding and surprised me how much it was scrutinized. It passed but it was a bit worrying so I understand your concerns. Just look for the wording, covers covid-19 and cruising in what they email you after taking out the insurance. If it doesn't mention it, hey it was free so no harm done, but you will have to try somewhere else. Best of luck and have a great cruise. 😊 Eligibility for Cover while Cruising and for Epidemic/Pandemic (such as COVID-19) Cover Under this group policy, the eligible traveller/s listed below have access to International Travel Insurance which includes epidemic/pandemic (such as COVID-19) coverage and cover while cruising including while aboard a foreign registered cruise vessel in Australian territorial waters.
  5. I think the only way we will know is from fellow CC members in the following weeks who sail in full suites on ships where the new changes have been implemented.
  6. As for the Coral it looks like they will let it finish the world cruise before implementing the new charges. The WC had started before the new announcement.
  7. It was our favourite port in the pacific. A mix of historic buildings, art galleries and beautiful scenery. Terribly sad to see the amount of houses and businesses destroyed in the town. My heart goes out to the people there to not only lose their houses but to see their beautiful old town centre burnt to the ground. It was with a little bit of disbelief when I heard the news yesterday morning thinking that there was not much vegetation outside of town to burn but just goes to show nowhere is safe from fire given certain conditions. We were to go back there in October on the Royal Princess on her way to Australia but will no doubt have an itinerary change now.
  8. In the buffet on the Majestic I asked the waiters for a tray to take 2 plates of food down to my elderly parents and they got one from the clean up service area. It was not a problem, I would hope you could ask the waiters who clear the tables on the Caribbean as well and get one off them.
  9. I thought they had Alfredo's but I checked the deck plan and it isn't there. You're right they don't have any casual dining so too bad for the passengers looking to have their two included casual dining experiences on the plus plan and even worst for those who paid for the more expensive package.
  10. Have a look at https://www.whatsinport.com/Le-Havre.htm it will tell you how to connect to the Honfleur tours run by Bee le Harve if that is the one you are doing.
  11. I think that the old Sun Class ships (Sea, Sun and Dawn) use to use the Manhattan terminal for the world cruise. They were smaller ships than the grand and Royal class. Perhaps it has to do with the ship size as to what Princess ships call into Manhattan pier on a port day. I see that Coral Princess is booked in on the 16/17th of August. Thanks for the above link, it gives plenty of bus numbers for getting to Central station from the pier. Very handy for the WC passengers from down under. 🙂
  12. It was free on my last Princess cruise in March for me. Sounds like there has been a change or is going to be one. Last time I went there all I paid for were the drinks. It will be interesting to see what I have to pay for at Alfredo's on my next cruise. I wonder in the following years if I will have to pay for a cheese and tomato toasted croissant at the International Café. 🤔 I'm not being serious, just kidding.
  13. We were told on one cruise by the section waiter there was always an Indian dish on offer in the MDR each night but it wasn't always on the menu You had to ask your waiter about the Indian selections. This was after Princess dropped the Indian/ Italian etc menu nights from the MDR. It may be the Indian dish from the buffet but if other family members want to eat in the MDR it would work out to order it in the MDR.
  14. Maybe it's harder to snore sitting upright. As you see I have only been in the cheaper seats, back in economy class. 😁 There may be some snorers in business class lying down on their beds.
  15. 28 nights, Pacific Explorer on the 6th June 2024 departing Sydney or Brisbane on the 4th. It's going to Ambon Indonesia as its one overseas stop, great to see a different port in the itinerary. From $3,840 inside, $5499 window and $6808 balcony on a cruise TA site. It may be a rough ride down south in June.
  16. I was on the Majestic with only 6 covered seats, it was a 28 day cruise so maybe for the longer cruises less people take out the more expensive package.
  17. I don't know if this has anything to do with your situation or not but I thought I'd mention it. I've just looked at our browser history and we used Firefox to start with and then swapped across to Microsoft Edge which worked for us.
  18. We had problems with the HSBC refund from Princess. We filled out the form after getting the 1st email from them of course we didn't have the code (they said they had sent us one) , checked phone texts and emails for it. We requested a code, they sent us one and it didn't work, we did this three times and gave up. Anyway we did as much as we could without the code and then tried again in about 5 days and the code they sent us this time worked. We did get the refund but it shouldn't have been that frustrating and difficult. This was quiet a few months ago now I'm disappointed that they have not fixed the bugs in the system.
  19. I didn't know there was a walk behind the resort (I have only been there once). Sounds good, I will have to try that next time. Thanks for posting, you learn something new every day.
  20. I had a look at it and it's a great cruise I'm tempted to fly to Singapore and board there instead of Sydney.
  21. We were on the Adventure in early June and we were able to book the included restaurants on the cruise control a little before the cruise sailed. There were time slots to chose from and once we boarded there was a sheet of paper in our cabin with the same time for each night, the date and name of the restaurant. They they rotated us around the three dining rooms for the duration of the cruise. I think they said if we did it this way we couldn't change for the first three nights but afterwards we could swap restaurants. Our time slot was held for us for 15 minutes in the dining room each night. So if you had a time of 6pm you had to arrive between 6 to 6:15 pm.

    Kona tenders

Hi, I hope this helps even though it was so long ago now. We were there about five years ago on the Golden Princess and we had an industrial port for Hilo and a tender for Kona which came into Kona at a small wharf near the Courtyard by Marriot. The ship was close to shore as shown in the photo.
  23. I hope for the passengers that the post you read got it wrong and they will get there on time. When we went to Petra on a Princess excursion we left Aqaba early and arrived back at the ship in the dark, it was a very long day. It would be very disappointing and upsetting for people who hadn't been there before as it is such an important port of call.
  24. You'll make it on time. Stay positive! Have a great day there whatever you're doing. It's an area full of wonderful things to see. I can't wait to go back some day. No doubt a lot of the crew will head out as well on the buses. The day I was there there were about 6 crew buses that headed up to Petra.
  25. I only saw apple and orange juice on the breakfast drink trays. Maybe you could get it for free if you asked. Maybe... There were certainly more choices up at the buffet but we only went there on the last day so I didn't take any notice as we were in a rush on the last day.
